Right when you walk in, there's a sign that tells you how long the wait time is. I appreciate that so it gives guests a head ups for waiting times. We went on a Friday weekday for lunch and it was still relatively crowded, so plan accordingly and get on the waitlist to avoid long waits, especially on weekends. The stand outs were the scallion oil noodles, crab XLB, and rice cakes! Staff were friendly and attentive plus the decor is impressive and made for a pleasant dining experience. There's a lot of competition in the area--but the food, atmosphere, and good service make it worthwhile to come back!

This place was amazing w very great service! Food was very good. Tried 6 different things which were: Signature xiao long bao- must try! 10/10 Dandan noodles - favorite out of all dishes 10/10 Drypot cauliflower - 9/10 Pork chop fried rice - could be skipped Napa and pork dumplings - 8.5/10 XLB dessert - our favorite was the salted egg very good 10/10 Would definitely coming back to this place and get the things I like and try new things :)

Yum Long located in the city of Monterey Park is one of those places that is pretty new and many have been talking about it. So one afternoon decided to pop on by and enjoy it with a party of five. The menu has plenty of options. We decided to order a bunch of different things and share them between all of us. We ordered a few different dumplings from steamed to fried. Had the beef noodle soup and the sweet and sour soup. These two were my favorite and it is bold in flavor. The beef was also very tender in the beef noodle soup. We ordered the dessert one which each color was a different flavor. Very unique and if you like a blend of sweetness this could be something to order after your food.

I have been waiting to try Yum Long and I was not disappointed. Seating is limited but adequate. Please plan appropriately and it's geared towards groups of 4 or less. Thankfully for our group of 6, even though the wait was a bit long, they have ice water at the door to help keep you hydrated. The service was really top notch and hats off to the staff to keep the all your needs met quickly and the empty plates cleared with hardly any notice. The food was really top notch and I expected the serving size to be on the smaller side but was pleasantly surprised to find that the servings are very generous. The braised beef noodles had perfectly chewy but tender noodles, very generous amount of beef, great broth, and even had the chopped preserved mustard greens which are not common. Cucumber salad had a great presentation and you know it's good because everyone gets it. Chicken salad (shredded chicken with scallion oil) was chef's kiss and definitely don't want to miss this. Garlic bok choy also a must. Just the right amount of garlic and bok choy very tender. Very fresh tasting. We also got the sampler dessert xiao long bao and they were all excellent.

Yummy and long experience! Dined in with family and had a good experience. The food was yummy but the wait was long! I can see why this place was so popular even during down times. It was busy yet not overwhelming during busy hours. Definitely will come by again but with reservations.

It was pretty packed when I came. PSA: waitlist on Yelp before you come so you don't have to wait as long! I ended up waiting about 20 mins since I didn't know about the Yelp waitlist. Once we sat down service was quick. It seems like they are still understaffed and everyone was working pretty hard to attend all the tables. The decor inside was so nice and modern. The atmosphere was def a 10/10 for me. Parking would be in the garage nearby. Food overall was not bad. Some standouts and some meh. Juicy pork dumplings 9/10: this was one of the stand outs to me! The dumpling was super juicy and the soup was really sweet and flavorful. I just wish the spoons they have were bigger so I can't hold all the soup the dumpling had! Lol. Cucumber 6/10: these were good and flavorful but they were not marinated long enough. The flavor didn't seep into the cucumber like how I would like it. However it was a pretty big portion. The cucumbers were also a bit too thick for me. I think it would've been better if they were thinner and more sauce could penetrate through. Lots of potential tho since the sauce was delish! Fried rice with pork chop 9/10: another stand out! The seasoning on the pork chop was so good and was tender. It had a good crisp as well. The rice was also not too salty so it worked well w the nicely seasoning pork chop. Hot and sour soup 7/10: super large portion. Not the best I've had but it was pretty solid. Beef rolls 7/10: also so much potential but it didn't come out warm I also think it could use a bit more sauce since I was kind of dry. But that may also just be my preference. The flavor was good though. Popcorn chicken 6/10: I feel like there was too much batter. The flavor was also okay nothing extraordinary. Overall food was not bad. Service was quick but it was busy. The restaurant interior was really pretty!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for the longest time! I had heard so many great things from my friends--they all said the xiao long bao here is even better than Din Tai Fung's, the dishes are more flavorful, and the portions are generous for the price. I had to see if it lived up to the hype! My best friend and I came on a Monday evening, and the wait was only about 10 minutes for a table of two. We ordered the Signature Pork Xiao Long Bao, Dan Dan Noodles with Minced Pork, Pan-Fried Pork Buns, Beef Wrap Pancake, Chili Oil Wontons, and the Dessert Xiao Long Bao Sampler. Everything came out surprisingly fast, and the servers were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Overall, we had a great dining experience, and I'll definitely be coming back with my family--they're huge fans of good pork soup dumplings! (:

Have been seeing multiple callouts before on Yumlong, calling out it's the affordable version of the well-known chain DTF (iykyk). The line looked overwhelming when we reached but fortunately it moved way faster than what's told to us on the estimated wait time. Like other typical Chinese resto, the space was pretty huge, able to accommodate big group size. We got their Wasabi Xiao Long Bao and Pan-Fried Pork and Shrimp dumplings. Both were luscious in their own way, serving different fillings and textures. The broth inside the XLB was rich and flavorful and the wasabi wasn't overpowering.

Ordered to-go only and I'm impressed. I haven't had a chance to dine-in at Yum Long, but based off first impressions of ordering to-go, I would definitely come back. The restaurant has two kiosks for to-go orders. I ordered a few dumplings and the Dan Dan Noodles. I loved the Dan Dan Noodles because of the thin noodles. I'm used to eating Dan Dan with thick noodles and this was a nice change. My spice tolerance is pretty low and it wasn't spicy for me. The dumplings are also delicious. Their menu reminds me of Din Tai Fung. I haven't tried their dessert dumplings, but would come back for that next time! While I waited for my to-go order, the waiters gave me a cup of water and offered me a seat at a table. They were so kind and friendly. The restaurant is clean and organized. Definitely coming back!

Yum Long is a great new place that competes with the likes of Good Alley and Prince Dumpling. Located next to the AMC theater at the Atlantic Times Square in Monterey Park, there's plenty of parking available. Wait times can get quite long; we had to wait around 15 min for a 7pm on a weekday. We got the Shredded Chicken with Black Truffle, Beef Wrap Pancake, and Salt and Pepper Calamari. The chicken was a great light appetizer, with the truffle working with the chicken, scallions, and onions excellently. The beef wrap was very standard to me, which is not a bad thing at all; I wish there was a little bit more sauce available though. The calamari had a great fry, but the breading didn't stick to the calamari too well; the taste was still great however. Workers are all friendly and attentive, so combined with the flavors and the food, Yum Long is definitely a place worth considering, and I look forward to trying their other dishes soon!

After seeing multiple Instagram posts about this newly opened dim sum place, I was curious to try it with my girlfriends. We got there when it opened at 11am and were the first customers there with plenty of tables to choose from. Service was great. We only ordered 2 dishes to try since we were not too hungry. We tried their signature Xiao long bao and a beef chow fun. The Xiao long bao came in 6 pieces to the order, served fresh from the steamer. Taste was good and there was a flavorful soup with each dumpling. The beef chow fun was also tasty and served hot. The restaurant is clean with a modern look, compared to a typical Chinese restaurant. Decorations on the wall and in the wooden decor. I think this place is worth a try, if you like Xiao long bao in general. Many have compared it to Din Tai Fung, but since i haven't been to that restaurant in a while, I couldn't give a fair comparison.

This spot just open and I see lines and lots of people outside. I got there at 5:45 and waited 25mins to be seated. Ordered the Dan Dan noodles which was good and just wish it was more saucy. Also got xiao long bao which was not bad but the wrapper was a bit thick in my opinion. I also got the chili oil wontons which wasn't for me. The saucy was thick and wasn't enough sauce. The pork fried rice was actually really good. That was the favorite dish and rice was good with chili oil! The dessert xiao long bao was ok. Overall was a good experience and a decent meal!

Everything I've tried...5/5. The Dan Dan noodles, the thumbsized dumplings, the XLB, especially the XLB, the pork belly...the veggies fried rice, the French style beef with button mushrooms...ive been to this place on back to back days, and the food...the service consistently exceptional. The scallion pancakes are thin and crispy. The beef wrap, delish. So far, can't go wrong on anything you order. The ambiance is modern and the artwork is Asian food themes. Very comfortable upscale restaurant. Parking easy, and free. TIP: park on street in front or in the structure near. The AMC movie theatre. This place is closed on Tuesday...fyi.

Came on a Wednesday night and there was no wait. I think they are in soft opening right now. The AC wasn't working that day so it was rather warm. They opened the front door to try to get some cold air in. I hope they got that fixed by now. We ordered the Chicken stir fry noodle, pork xiao long bao, the beef wrap, pan fried pork dumplings and the chocolate & strawberry xiao long bao. Everything was pretty tasty. They cooked the chicken stiry fry not how I am used to. They used a sachai sauce instead but it was rather tasty and I enjoyed this version of the dish. The pork xiao long bao had a very thin skin and tons of soup and very flavorful. Enjoyed it a lot. It does only come with 6 pieces though but the price reflects reasonably the smaller portion with less price. The beef wrap was also very good. They used grilled green onion pancake wrap (not fried) which makes it extra yummy, the beef was tender, just enough hoisan sauce and tons of refreshing cucumber. Portion was decent as well. The pan fried dumplings were grilled nice and crispy. The dumpling itself did lack some flavor so it did need the vinegar to help enhance the taste. The only lacking dish of the night. Lastly, we got the chocolate strawberry xiao long bao which they actually used Nutella. Like the regular xiao long bao the skin was thin so also enjoyed this dessert. Overall a great meal. Service was great as well. They came to ask how our meal was a few times and also gave us new plates and utensils for the dessert. The interior decor is pretty fancy. Its located to the right of the AMC Atlantic Times Square so there is plenty of parking. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend. read more

First time here! We arrived around 1:45 PM and were seated by 2:00 PM, so I would say this is probably one of the best times to visit. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with artwork depicting how dumplings were made in ancient times. One thing I really appreciated was that iced water was readily available, and the staff didn't pressure us to order drinks. As for the food, it was fantastic. The braised pork was probably my favorite dish. The chili oil wontons, dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, and cucumber salad were all delicious. Honestly, everything we ordered was excellent. We tried this new spot near our house. The first thing that I noticed was that the service was really friendly, quick, and efficient. Our waitress was named Angie and she was amazing. Our food came out within 15 minutes. We ordered Dan Dan noodles, stir fry beef noodles, and xiaolongbao. The food options are similar to pp pop. My husband and I just had dinner here last night and we both love it! The soup dumplings are delicious and we think they are actually better than those at more popular soup dumpling franchises. We also had the pork chop fried rice and my husband says the fried rice was the highlight of the meal! I love how they have a dessert dumpling sampling platter where you can try all 5 of their dessert dumplings (chocolate banana, chocolate strawberry, cheese, taro, mochi matcha). Move over Din Tai Fung! There is a new Juicy in town! Tried the signature XLB, Cheese XLB, Pork Chop Fried Rice, Shredded Chicken w/ Truffle, Pan Fried Dumpling, Pickled Cucumber, and their Sweet XLB sampler and everything was Delicious. The skin on the XLB is not paper thin like DTF's which I like because it has a little chew to it and the filling was velvety amd juicy. What really surprised me was their Pork Chop Fried rice...the Pork Chop itself was good, but the Fried Rice was next level, kinda like Tepanyaki style. I'll definitely be back! read more

They just opened and the restaurant is pretty small. I can see them doing really well because of the location and a lot of people are loving this type of cuisine more and more. It is definitely more elegant and classy because the silverware and platings are glass and giving "fancy". They give you a paper menu and you write the amount you want for each. The dan dan noodles are yummy and I like when its not too much peanut flavor, plus it has a nice kick to it. The braised beef noodle soup noodle to soup ratio was off and the noodle was kinda hard? The walnut shrimp was zesty more than sweet but still yummy and could've used more walnuts. The chili oil wontons were yummy and spicy! The xiao long bao was a hit as well. The beef roll was cold which didn't make it all that appetizing. In my opinion and family's opinion, the food was kinda salty. Overall great experience and I definitely would return. read more

Service was fast and friendly as soon as we walked in! We felt attended to frequently and immediately by funny/friendly staff. The food was phenomenal and came out quickly! It was my first time here and I enjoyed every single thing I ate. The cucumber salad was indeed refreshing and acted as a nice palate cleanser in between bites. I especially loved the noodles and beef wrap! Never had those before in any restaurant and they were so flavorful! And the banana chocolate dumplings were heavenly! A must finish for your meal! Couldn't decide between two or three stars. I thought the food here was pretty mid compared to other Chinese restaurants. Our server was nice though. I thought the cucumbers in the salad were cut too big. The pork Xiao Long Bao didn't have a lot of filling, the soup wasn't flavorful, and the wrapping wasn't strong enough (one of my dumplings bursted open). It was served completely chilled, and the rice didn't have the fragrant chicken flavor I was expecting #151 seafood chow fun ($15.95) - this was my favorite dish! we got it with gravy for a change (we usually always get this dry) and it really came smothered in sauce. Despite that, we could still taste the wok hei in the rice noodle #176 grilled pork chop ($15.95) - pork chop was delicious! but the mushroom sauce we got on the side was very meh; it didn't have much flavor #176 grilled chicken steak ($15.95) - mostly one friend was eating this dish, but I tried a piece of the chicken and it was solid. They do a good job grilling their meats here! Portions are ginormous here. You can definitely get away with ordering 3-4 dishes for 4 people, but we wanted to have some leftovers for the next day so we ordered 5. We left happy and full :)

Had such an amazing experience at this xiao long bao spot! We came in with a large party of 14 people, and they accommodated us so quickly and smoothly without making us feel rushed or overwhelmed. That alone impressed us, but the service and food made the experience even better. The food came out incredibly fast, and everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The xiao long bao were packed with flavor, perfectly juicy, and definitely some of the best we've had. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared, from the noodles to the fried rice and appetizers. What really stood out was the staff -- every server we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and constantly smiling. They checked on us often, made sure drinks and dishes were taken care of, and handled our big group with such patience and professionalism. Even with a busy dining room, the energy stayed welcoming and organized. It's hard to find a restaurant that delivers both amazing food and exceptional service, especially for a large group, but this place absolutely nailed it. We ordered the green beans (so good we accidentally ordered them twice ), pork chop fried rice, pan fried dumplings and scallion noodles and every single dish was unreal. I don't say this lightly... but I actually preferred it to Din Tai Fung. The flavors felt more homemade, more generous, and somehow elevated without trying too hard. Service was warm, attentive and genuinely lovely, the ambiance was cool without being pretentious, and the whole experience felt like discovering one of those places you immediately want to gatekeep... but can't. Matcha soup dumpling is absolutely excellent, which perfectly meets my expectations. Will come back when they're fully open.
