These dumplings are still the best, they have reopened the doors at their original location, and they now accept Venmo ("yummydumpling" under businesses, don't forget to tip the workers folding dumplings all day long) as well as cash. I still stand by my recommendations of black fungus (delish for everyone, not just vegetarians!), and lamb (try it with this dipping sauce: soy sauce and chopped cilantro and/or scallions, plus a little black Chinese vinegar, sesame oil, and simple syrup, and chili sauce/pepper flakes). Though I've honestly liked every dumpling flavor I've tried, as well as the other items.

The dumplings here are excellent. We got the potstickers, wonton and the soup dumplings. They are an excellent value and they come frozen. When I cook them on the steamer or pan fry them I they rival Din Tai Fung! Just remember to bring a cooler if you buy a lot of them.

I make it a point to buy a coolers worth of hand made frozen dumpling to bring back to central California every time I visit SF. Great flavor and hand made skins are perfection. My favorite is pork with Chinese spinach , and newly discovered chicken w/ corn. Note - pick up is now from King of Noodles across the street. (Feb 2022)

First time coming to this spot and had a great foodie adventure! There's a walk up table that you tell the lady what you'd like from the menu and she pulls it out of a large freezer and hands it to you. Can't be faster than that! Great prices that were very reasonable. Came home and cooked what I bought, which were soup dumplings, pork/shrimp dumplings, and pork wonton. All were delicious and unique in their own ways! Excellent flavor, inside was moist with good texture, the wrappers held up well on the wontons. I would definitely come back to replenish my stock of wontons and dumplings from Yummy Dumpling. Plenty of other items I'd like to try from their menu in future!

Wow! Expertly made dumplings are hand made in house. These are frozen for you to pick up and take home. They give you directions on how to cook. They also provide these to the restaurant up the street called King of Noodle!! Yes, we will be back!!

The dumplings are a good size with a lot of filling but it's so bland and tasteless. Don't think I will buy it again.

Does anyone know what days they make soup dumplings? I've gone the past 5 days at 9am and they've been sold out. The gentleman who works weekends said they make them when they have time, which doesn't help with planning...

Sometime well over a year ago but during the pandemic a man working there said I had to get there early on Tuesday to get them before they sold out. This worked for awhile, but doesn't anymore. I haven't seen the guy, who I *think* is the owner,…

    Are you open today?

Their hours on yelp are currently wrong. It's Wednesday, and I just picked up a few bags of dumplings. They are open.

Can we order ahead of time? Do they run out of certain fillings?

I think so, you can phone in your order. Yes, they do run out of popular items

Is there MSG in the dumpling fillings? The dumplings here don't come with nutritional information labels or an ingredient list.

    MSG doesn't matter

This restaurant has both table seats and also booth seats and the staff let us choose where we wanted to sit (probably since the restaurant was empty at that time). Anyways, we ordered a Turkey sandwich with Fries, The Famous Bill's Hamburger w/ Potato Salad, and a Rocky Road Milkshake. Everything tasted good, but we do wish the portion size of the burger was a bit larger than the side item. We did like how juicy the burger was though and I loved how large the milkshake here is and how unique the flavor seemed! The turkey sandwich here didn't have anything special about it, but still tasted good enough. I'd recommend this place! We loved everything we got from the restaurant that day, but our favorite was the milkshake because of the size. Next time, I want to try their other burgers and more of their milkshakes and desserts.

The staff was attentive, friendly, and made me feel well taken care of. My food came out quickly, and there was plenty of seating, so I didn't have to wait for a table. The restaurant has that classic diner feel with a large menu, making it easy to find something for everyone. One minor disappointment was the fountain drinks. I tried both the Pepsi and Starry, and they tasted a bit watered down, which took away from the meal. I ordered the Mexican Burger, which comes with Jack cheese, salsa, and jalapeños. The toppings worked well together and added a nice kick, but I had ordered the burger medium, and it came out closer to well done with only a slight hint of pink. It wasn't dry, but it wasn't cooked to my preference. I was especially excited to visit because I'd heard so many great things and knew they take pride in their burgers. While my burger was good, it didn't quite stand out as one of the best I've had. I'd gladly stop by again if I were already in the neighborhood, but I probably wouldn't make a special trip just for it. Overall, it's a solid diner with great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a wide variety of menu options, even if the burger didn't quite meet my expectations.

The food was good, although it wasn't quite as memorable as it used to be. The spicy boneless chicken was crispy, juicy, and flavorful, but there was absolutely no spice. I'd rate it 4/5 because if you order something labeled "spicy," you expect at least a little heat! The pork buns were decent. The pork and fresh cucumbers were delicious, but the bun itself was a little leathery. The biggest disappointment was the house hot sake. It tasted different than I remembered, and after pouring our second round, we poured out a fruit fly that had been inside the bottle. That definitely ended our sake for the night. I hope the restaurant inspects bottles before serving them, as that's something that can easily ruin an otherwise enjoyable meal. Despite those issues, the outstanding service is what earned this visit five stars. With a little more spice in the spicy chicken and better quality control on the sake, it'll be easy to make an already good restaurant even better. We'll definitely be back.

I found out about the workshop through the Japanese Cultural and Community Center's newsletter and signed up by calling the JCCCNC directly, where you'll be able to pay via credit card. The 2.5-hour class is held in the kitchens of the JCCCNC - mostly demonstration with fantastic narration on the cultural context as well as useful cooking techniques in preparation of the 4-course Kaiseki. The Senseis made: Ebishinjo - steamed prawn dumplings served in dashi - they have a *fantastic* recipe for making dashi stock, and the proper way/ proportions to make it. Towards the end of the class, students are able to help plate the numerous bowls for the different courses, and partake of a wonderful, authentic and super-oishi cha-kaiseki. Anyone who loves Japanese food (no, this is not sushi, but there could be a raw fish course), is interested in Japanese culture and cooking techniques, will adore this class, as I do.
