They have good food. I've never had any issues with the staff or not receiving what I've ordered. If you order in store they tend to have a really long weight time for to go orders. I'm not really into posting reviews or anything like that but yesterday was very disappointed. This restaurant used to have a GREAT customer service wise! but nowadays everything seems to be going the opposite way. We spent over $45 yesterday on food and the employe at the counter gave me 2 sauces to go with my food (I don't even know what the names of the sauces are) I asked the employee if could get another 2 for my other plate (I ordered two plates) and Gyro and he told me that he would have to charge me. I ask him excuse me I just spent $45 and I have two plates and a Gyro shouldn't I get sauces for each plate at least? He answered no. The owner wants to sell everything. I think the owner just turned very tight and cheap! To top it up the soda machine wasn't working, all the Coke soda were flat so when I came back and let the employee know that the sodas were flat he's just looked at me shrugged his shoulders and rand hands like asking "what do you want me to do?" I'll start by saying this: THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS. However, we probably won't be ordering delivery from them again, which is a shame. They cannot get an order correct! Every time we've ordered through GrubHub, we end up having to spend time afterwards getting refunds for stuff because they've left out items and gotten options wrong. Good luck getting that delicious garlic sauce you were charged 75 cents for, because it's not happening. My guess is they'll end up dropping off of all of the delivery services due to how many refunds they end up having to issue because whoever is boxing up the pick-up orders can't get it right. Bottom line: If you want Zaky, go there in person (and risk contracting COVID-19) and check the bag before you leave to make sure you got everything you ordered. Bad service and bad food. The man taking our order was rude and seemed like he was in a hurry. Nonetheless we ordered, got our food and went home... I took a bite of the beef kabob I ordered and after that I just stuck with eating the pita bread!! That beef was so dry, and the rice had no flavor like how most Mediterranean rice I've had. I'm sorry for wasting food but I never touched my food after that first bite. First Impressions: When I arrived around 6pm on a Thursday evening, the place was empty and I only noticed two people- the cashier (who also ended up being the cook too!) and some poor soul doing prep or dishes in the back. I placed an order for two shawarma plates but hesitated because the shawarma spit was empty. I asked if it was fresh...the reply "it was make yesterday morning or this morning". NOT A VOICE OF CONFIDENCE. After ordering, I went to the condiment section and noticed old desiccated lemons that looked to have been cut a week ago (not a good impression here). The Food: Not sure if Zaky thinks they're pulling the wool over people's heads here or if this is their sad version of chicken shawarma, but I can attest...what I received was NOT chicken shawarma. It was some pre-cooked post-grilled chicken breast that was poorly seasoned. If you look at the picture, you'll see grill marks. Anyone with basic knowledge of how shawarma is made will know that it's cooked using indirect heat using a spit, and not on an actual grill. Fries were decent but were a bit lackluster in texture. The saving grace of my plate was the mutabal which was perfectly smoky and smooth. This and the kind service I received saved Zaky from a 1 star review. Called in order. Said would be done in 10-15 mins. Show up 15 mins later and had to wait another 35 mins for my order. Hummus was not that great. Serving of steak kabob was literally 5 pieces of meat about 1 1/4 inch square. Kafta kabob was dry and very small. Rice tastes like they use instant rice. The only good thing was the garlic sauce, which is still not as good as Zankou. Which with the time I had to wait, I could of just drove to Pasadena and got Zankou. Wearing Gloves does not mean you can touch the cashier, food, body part, ect!!!!!!! I love the food from Zaky mediterranean food. At least monthly my family and I went there. but last week i went to get take out. service was horrible. I had to wait 45 minutes while the food was ready on the counter. While I was waiting, I noticed that the cashier was wearing gloves to get the customer food and to pay. In the 45 minutes I was waiting, she never changed her gloves. She touched the cashier register, pen for the customer sign, receipts, then she grabbed the pita bread with her gloves to warm it then, she touched her mask to fix it, her hair, and her neck, the sausees, and filling the rice from the rice cooker..She touched everything in a circle and it was multiple times.  the other customer also noticed the same thing while we were waiting. I'm going to start this review by saying "I love Zaky's." My coworkers and I go to this location at least once every month (either on our own or for large catering orders my work will place for everyone). This last visit was horrendous. I have never been so appalled with a customer/employee interaction in my life. My order was charged incorrectly with two items I did not order added; however, this is not where my issues lie. When I addressed the extra items with the cashier, Aranzta (her name according to my receipt), she blamed me for not ordering correctly. For the benefit of the cashier, Zaky's was extremely busy, and I did place my order in a confusing sequence. I ordered two side salads and then decided to make one of those a substitution side salad instead of fries. I then clarified with the cashier three times that I wanted two salads total, one of which was with the wrap and the other a regular side. I get this misunderstanding. I am not sure how an additional wrap got added, but as long as I am refunded (which I was), these are simple mistakes that don't bother me. My problem began with the fact that Aranzta blamed me for the mistakes (only one of which is blamable on me) and tried to argue with me. The typical customer service response would be to apologize for the misunderstanding and then fix the overcharged amount. I notified Aranzta that it did not matter why the order was incorrect and it just needed to be fixed, which she did. Even Aranzta arguing with me would not prompt me to leave a negative review though I am leaving this one-star review because, after everything described, Aranzta turned around and called me a "pendeja" to her coworkers. A small word of advice for Aranzta, if you are going to call someone an idiot in a different language, it's probably best to not use one of the most common languages know in Southern California. I hope that your manager has you read this review because you need to know this is not an acceptable way to treat a person, let alone a customer. read more

Got combo plate and chicken shawarma. The chicken on my combo plate was a tad dry, I recommend the chicken shawarma instead. But the Beef kabob and kafta was very flavorful and matched the rice nicely. Garlic sauce was way too overpowering in my opinion. After ordering, we waited about 15 minutes, a bit of a longer wait.
