I love this location for Zankou. Everything about it is great, I love the set up and the look and it's honestly just a great place to get some food and be with friends or family. This seems like a safe option for good Mediterranean / Lebanese food. I had the chicken kebab plate which came with basmati rice, chicken (a healthy portion), a roasted tomato, some spiced onions, hummus, garlic sauce, and two pitas. For $13, I would say it's a fairly priced deal. Gourmet food at a reasonable price. I was more than satisfied by the meal, couldn't finish it. This place is not what it used to be. I don't usually submit reviews, however this needed to be told. Service: Waited 45 minutes for two sandwiches one evening. The lady before me sadly waited over an hour. The cashiers refused to help the food prep staff. Acting like they are above that line of service. That would have helped the long kind of hungry and unhappy customers. Food: quality of food is very cheap, falafel is greasy and oil seems to be reused over and over. Anytime I'm a little hungry and passing through Burbank, I got to stop at this Zankou. In my opinion, it's their best location; the place is always clean, food always comes fast, always delicious, and never once have I been disappointed. Been there about 10-20 times. I recommend the Tarna Wrap and a side of their famous garlic sauce. Parking is easy and the atmosphere is cozy. Two Thumbs Up! You should definitely go if you've never been there before. read more

Awesome chicken, prepared fresh and hot, decent prices, great garlic sauce! This is a pretty nice little place, and the plates all come with pita bread and your choice of a couple sides. The rice is really good (although the portion is small) and the hummus is great (the portion is huge). The wraps are pretty good, although they are on the small side with lots of tomatoes inside. Basically though, the main thing you want to get is the rotisserie chicken (which is so tender, soft and well seasoned) and lots of garlic sauce. Simple and excellent! read more

I still love Zankou Chicken. Their Tri Tip Schwarma is delicious. But the lower star rating is because when I got my order to go I asked for a couple of the SMALL containers of tahini sauce which has never been a problem before. This time, the guy actually started to give me a hard time. Saying I should have asked for it when I was paying, the he GRUDGINGLY gave me one! Saying they charge for them now even though NOTHING is listed anywhere on the menu. Not cool guys. I do love the food, but the Schwarmas are small! But I have overlooked that and tried again. I was a regular at the original Hollywood location for years and then found that the preparation was becoming very inconsistent--it was either dripping with fat and grease or dry as a bone. When I first came here, it was a revelation, but I later realized they tend to really slather the garlic sauce on, which is fine if you don't ever want to date again and don't mind frequent BR jaunts. That said, I'm still like a moth to the flame every so often. I know it's bad for me but I do it anyway, like a dog eating grass. I know others have complained about the service here, but I actually find it pretty friendly, especially compared to Hollywood, where they took years to warm to me and then became a little too familiar (do I really need the counter ladies asking me how I manage to work off the my regular meals there? If you like roasted chicken from Costco or Boston Market, then you need to come here. The chicken is so good here! Falls off the bone, so tender and juicy with so much flavor. The chicken is good but what makes it better than most is the garlic sauce. Be sure to get extra garlic sauce! The service is quick but not the most friendly.
