ooooh zankou...when i don't feel like eating fried chicken to get my fix...you're always there for me so i think i live fairly in the middle of this location and the glendale location, so today i decided to try this location. reviewing it came after when i realized that hadn't yelped in a while (yelp, yelping, yelped - all not misspelled words here, trust me cuz is mispelled misspelled just now and the red thing popped under the word). back to chicken! every once in a while...i have random chicken cravings. at around 3pm or 4 i start to think about chicken...then by 5ish i know for certain that i will be having chicken...and more often then not no one else shares that craving at the same time, so i opt to take out from Zankou. So if you know Zankou, you'll appreciate how clean and new this restaurant is. It has weird brick laying and darkness...it feels super restauranty. I didn't actually see much because i was focused on my chicken getting mission...that is be nice to cashier, pay, wait, get, go. nothing new about the flavor when i got home i ate the chicken with tons of sauce and tomato, dipped me pita bread in the hummus and didn't stop until the chicken ran out. The way they rotisserie the chicken looks and makes the chicken taste the same in this location, but i think the timing is still better in the Glendale location...you get a certain crisp to the skin without having random soggy parts in the chicken. Just an observation...and the first time i actually bought from Burbank. Ordered the Tarna Wrap. Fresh, delicious and very flavorful. Juicy. Not dry. Would give it 4 stars, but the turnips and chili peppers that were given on the side, were old and not good. They should really check those, before giving them on the side. To top it off, Pepsi was flat as well. read more

The chicken isss soo good. The chicken and the beef are well cooked and you can feel their own spices which taste so delicious. I tried all the 'plates' menu, they all are soo good and worth to make me come back. The spices are well roasted in the chicken and the beef. The meat is also tender and juicy! The onion is too strong for me, but maybe you can get rid of it by not eating the onion they serve on the food even they're so good. The place is very clean and the they have plenty of parking space also. it's right on the corner around Burbank downtown, nice spot. read more

Shish kabob is the best for me. Wrap if I don't want to get my hands dirty. Lots of space. Service is ok. People looked kinda tired. Lots of room. Refillable fountain drinks. Space to eat outside. Parking is kinda cramped in this plaza. But really good Greek fast food style. read more

After hearing so many people rave about this Armenian "fast food" restaurant; I figured it was long overdo for a sampling. While everything on the menu looks great, the overwhelming majority of people recommended the Whole Chicken ($8.99) served with two pieces of pita bread and their much acclaimed garlic spread. My order was ready before I even had a chance to fill up my soft-drink cup with ice. Any comparisons to fast food stops here because the outstanding quality of their rotisserie chicken rivals any restaurant bird. Though not usually a big fan of the skin, I couldn't get enough of it. Moist, succulent and flavorful I wrapped each bite of chicken with it, smeared it with the garlic spread, stuffed it into a piece of pita bread and quickly devoured it. As I looked around at the other patrons, it was clear that this was the preferred eating technique of choice. While being more than enough for 2 people, you might want to treat yourself to a side of Mutabbal ($3.99) grilled eggplant, fresh garlic, and tahini blended together and topped with olive oil and paprika or try a single Falafel for only ($.60). Also on the menu are their delicious wraps which include, a roasted chicken wrap ($4.29), a tri-tip shawerma wrap ($4.99)a marinated, flame-broiled tri-tip, diced tomatoes and tahini wrapped inpita bread. I've been a customer for years and I thought it was better before. The quality of their food has been just ok. It's a good place to get Mediterranean food on the go. Parking at this location is dicey. That's always an important factor for me is parking for the convenience factor. That's the reason for the 3 stars. Staff is always very nice though. read more

Over rated quality has gone down over time, it's good but not great. There are far better in the area. But they do have a garlic spread which they are famous for (I wish it was more garlic and less spread), it'll do. Stick with the chicken of some sort, my favorite is the tarna and I love the pickled turnips. read more

This Burbank Location is in a shopping center. It's nice and clean. I like Zankou Chicken. This location is nice. My advice is DO NOT ORDER the CHICKEN TARNA at ANY Zancou Chicken location. This is the nastiest chicken ever. Lard, Skin and Bones that are all chopped up with juicy chicken NEVER sounds appealing..oh...and its greasy! Go for the whole chicken or half chicken instead. This place rocks though. And the Garlic Sauce! The Best! read more

I had the Lule kabob. Tastes better than it looks. The marinated beets must be an acquired tasted. The rice that I was served was "lunch leftover", I bit into a few rock hard grains every now and then . Pita bread and humus were good. We were lucky #79, and no I don't think all the numbers were called in order. The lady at the counter said 10-15 minutes wait which isn't so bad considering how many people were in her on Friday at around 9PM. We decided to share a tri tip shawarma, chicken tarna, side of basmati rice, hummus with pita bread and a large soda. That set us back about $22.00 or so. Awesome Chicken. Crispy skin, seasoned to perfection and delicious.

First time trying this spot out and this is some really good chicken they roast here. I came here with my girlfriend on a Thursday night for dinner. The parking is a little cramped, a lot of spots where it says 10 min or 30 min parking only. I ordered the half chicken plate which comes with pickled radishes, tomatoes, hot chili peppers and hummus. My girlfriend got the falafel plate, which included tahini sauce, hummus and some vegetables. Both plates also come with their famous garlic sauce, which is super good and a ton of pita bread. The chicken was very well prepared, it did not taste dry at all. Very flavorful, crispy skin and the meat falls right off the bone. The hummus was delicious too, very creamy and tasty. My girlfriend really enjoyed the falafel as well (I also had a piece), crispy on the outside and delicious inside. You get a whole lot of food for what you pay for, $20 for the both of us and it left us really full. Overall I love the fact that two people can get well fed at $20. I didn't think the chicken was "SO GOOD" like most people raved it to be, but it was very delicious. I think Chicken Maison has them beat in that department. Their falafel was really good too, but then again, I don't eat falafel often so I don't have anything to compare it too. I definitely will be back here to try their kabobs. All hail the anomaly of ALL Zankou's. This place is the Taj Mahal comparatively, but they could have built it on a known hazmat site and people would still line up for their food. So good. read more

5 stars for you. Absolutely amazing. If you're looking for atmosphere "a dining experience" , and if you want good food for a good price this is your place. The chicken breast kebab was flavored and cooked to perfection and the tabbouleh is amazing.
