The only reason that gets me to come back more often is the hh. Drink specials are all either $2 or $3. i.e. $2 all well drinks/margarita. $3 cocktails. Can't really beat that, especially when they hook it up. Food is also cheap. Everything is less than $6. The $3 yellowtail roll was pretty decent for the price. Another item we enjoyed was the tamarind chicken wings. Since everything is so cheap here, you might as well order everything on the hh menu. Just be careful when you order whiskey and coke vs. crown and coke. Cause if you ask the waiters if they are the same price, they'd say yes. But when they bring the tab it's way more expensive. I typically come here for dinner. They are open super late so it's a nice spot for us to go satisfy those late night cravings. The first time I came here, I came in a big group and we ordered a bunch of small plates from the hot tapas menu. Everything was pretty tastey. However, I did not like the lamb chops. They were way too gamey tasting for me. I've never had sushi here before so I can't comment on the sushi. I've heard it wasn't that great so I've stayed away from it. They are however, known for their Thai food. There's a separate Thai menu that serves authentic Thai food but you have to ask for this. I think its only in Thai too! I totally love their Yen Ta Fo (spicy seafood soup) which is what I typically order when I come here. It's such a comforting dish. I also love their Kao Tom (Thai Rice Soup). Both of these can be found on the Thai menu. What I recently discovered is their lunch menu! You can get a small lunch portion of their Thai entrees in a bento box which comes with soup, salad, eggroll and a california roll for anywhere from $5.95 - $9.95 depending on the type of meat(s) you choose. I think that's an awesome deal! They don't skimp on the portions either! My only complaint would be timeliness. I came for lunch and after ordering, I swear we waited a good 30 minutes for our food to come out from the kitchen. That's just way too long when business professionals allot an hour for their lunch break. It even took them forever and a day to run our checks. I must say the timing issue only occurred during lunch. When I came in for dinner, the wait for our food was not this bad! Maybe they don't have enough chefs in the kitchen? *shrugs* Just come when you can have a long lunch. My friend even asked for no tomatoes or onions and his food still came with it. I'm going to need to come back to get a better "feel" of this place. When I came, this place feels more like a late-night dive than a real restaurant. This can be attributed to the barebones atmosphere that tries to be cheap-modern-chic, and to the teenage crowd that seems to hail from Plano. And yes, you have to ask for the Thai menu. Oddly, they don't include it when they give you the "regular" menu even though the Thai menu is obviously not a secret (it comes laminated in Thai, English, and even with pictures - seems pretty much an often-requested menu in that respect). So we ordered two things from the Thai menu, and a sushi roll from the regular menu. The sole regular-menu item, dynamite sushi roll, which was glopped in sauces and had crawfish (surprisingly), and was decent. Thai basil crispy pork over rice is in the avoid list - small pieces of deeply fried pork that makes for a tough chew makes it unappealing. The duck noodle soup was the star of the three courses we ordered - ample amount of tender dark could be found with the soup, alongside with egg noodles (you get to choose noodles, btw), and "blood tofu." Sounds strange, but I would definitely order this again. As for the ambience, and the crowd, perhaps the other Zenna locations in Dallas may be better. But as for food, they all should be the same (hopefully). read more

Zenna is usually pretty good especially with their delivery. I enjoy their rolls and sashimi but tonight's order was very disappointing. Usually I get nice pieces of fish but tonight you'd think there was a salmon and tuna shortage. The pieces were tiny and very thinly sliced when I'd usually get a nice slab to get my teeth into and the rolls seemed smaller too. The order was split between two which is usually good but we were both left unsatisfied and wanting more. I should have written a review before because it would have been a solid 4 stars so I'm really basing this review from previous experiences. My baby sister raves about how great this place is and for her birthday lunch, she wanted the whole family to take her here. We were like, "sure, okay" Including her friends, there were 14 people in our party. When we got there, the place was not packed. However, it seemed like they were understaffed because there was nobody at the hostess booth to sit us down. We had to wait at least a good 15 minutes before we were seated. No biggie. After we sat down and looked over the menu, it took them a good while to take our orders. Like I said, we had 14 people in our party and only one waitress to serve us. Not a problem, right? We weren't in a rush anyway. I opted for the pad see ew bento box because my sister recommended it. However, after everybody else got their orders. I didn't get mine. After another 10 minutes, I had to ask where my order was and apparently it had been sitting out for a while. She just forgot to give it to me. Wowza! Well, my bento box came with some edamame, which at this point was already COLD. No good. The pad see ew was actually pretty good and it had the potential to be REALLY good had it been warmer. Why didn't I ask them to just make me a new one? Well, at this point, I was starving. I didn't want to wait much longer. The bento box also came with a couple of California rolls, salad with creamy dressing, and a vegetable eggroll. All these were pretty average compared to other places that have them. I also ordered the heaven beef and this was actually really good. If you like beef, I think you would like this little dish. Highly recommended. Anyway, I hope my experience here is just a one-off experience. Since the food was actually pretty tasty and they're actually pretty reasonably priced. Terrible online ordering experience. Online ordering is supposed to be convenient but Zenna's online ordering system is such a mess that it's a hassle. First off, I was unable to put in my entire work address into the address line because it cuts you off after a certain amount of characters. After I put in my order AND paid for it with my credit card, they called me to confirm my order by reading back my entire order ever so slowly. Then they say "oh it's a $1.50 delivery fee. Is that ok?" Yeah, that's fine. "Do you want to pay cash or credit?" Well, I already put my credit card number online so can you please charge the delivery fee to the credit card? "Ok." 5 minutes later I receive another call from them to confirm my order and to again tell me it's $1.50 for the delivery fee. They once again asked cash or credit. I said credit and they said "oh well we don't save your credit card number from your online order so if you want the delivery fee charged to your card we need the number." Okay so...what was the point of putting my order AND paying online if they're going to call me and have me read out my credit card number to them? AND THEY STILL MESSED UP MY ORDER! I would be less upset if my messed up order tasted good but my dishes tasted straight up microwaved. I ordered two beef pad kee mows (drunken noodle), one a level 2 and the other a level 5. They forgot to add any spice to either one of the orders. When we called to complain that they messed up the order they were absolutely unapologetic and not willing to help us in anyway. When they realized how annoyed we were, they said the most they can do is send a delivery guy out to give us the chili powder but it would take at least 30 minutes. Okay, it already took 1 hour to receive our food and now we have to wait at least another 30 minutes while our food gets cold for someone to bring chili powder so we can add the spice ourselves? They're supposed to mix in the spice while they're cooking it but they thought bringing us the chili powder to add to it ourselves would make up for it. Ok. Like how you gon' call ME twice and confirm my order TWICE and still get it wrong? I'm shook. Then we receive a call from the manager. He has the nerve to belittle us and tell us the spice is there, some people just can't tell. Buddy, I ordered a level 5. That's the spiciest level there is. If there are no chili flakes and I can't taste ANY spice - it's not there!! I LOVE spicy food so I think, I THINK I can tell what spicy tastes like. He recommended that next time we ask for extra chili powder on the side since it wasn't hot enough for us. Ummm, we shouldn't have to do that if we ordered a level 5 and you made it a level 5. Own up to your mistakes dude and fix your customer service. Also the beef quality in the drunken noodle has gone way down. It was drier and not as tender as usual. Tasted microwaved. The manager tried to rectify the situation by giving us credit for two drunken noodle dishes for another day. We ordered drunken noodles level 5 again and gave them another chance and wow - NOT spicy at all AGAIN!!!. I even asked for extra chili powder on the side on top of ordering level 5 and THEY FORGOT THAT TOO! Are they just tryna spite me at this point? Just an overall terrible experience. Their lunch special is literally just a lunch portion of their dinner menu. I don't necessarily feel as though that is worth it. Part of the pull of Zenna's was their HH and their lunch specials. Their lunch special is no longer as good of a deal, and the HH at this location is not as good as the HH (quality and portion size) at the Carrollton location. This place used to be such a hot spot, but COVID has hit them very hard. I've decided to go back and walk through memory lane. I've ordered all the normal like before; pork ribs, water spinach with crispy pork, dry fried salad, lad na, papaya salad, sushi rolls, etc. I drove 20 miles for a pick up which costed me about $230 after tip and man I think the kitchen staff has changed. The food was super salty where we had to throw most of it away since we couldn't try to finish it. The sushi was not edible as if the fish has been there and not prepared correctly at the right temperatures. That's the end of memory for me. Hands down my favorite Thai food in the DFW area. There have been times when I have taken takeout from this restaurant over 12 times in one month... Zenna has a unique taste that no matter how many different Thai restaurants I try, I keep coming back to. I've had several of the fried rices and noodle dishes, along with a few of the sushi. My favorite dish is the pad kee mao or drunken noodles. A great thing about Zenna is the spice scale they have, 1 - 5 and 5 is truly Thai spice and packs a punch, unlike any other Asian restaurant. However, while the food is what brings me back, the service is can be a hit or miss. The servers are either good or they're not. The perks about Zenna include the location for me and the hours, this place is open late on weekdays!!
