Lovely café with cheerful servers, several cooks, so quick to our table Mounds of country potatoes, perfect over easy eggs and he had just-right biscuits and gravy. Also very clean restrooms. Definitely recommend.

This review is only for the food, as I got my order to go. I got the French Dip sandwich, can you say yummy. The Au Jus was delicious, defiantly will have it again.

Breakfast burrito was big and delicious...salsa is fresh.

Delicious breakfast burrito and great service. Highly recommend. Mom had the burger and son had the chorizo and eggs. All delicious! Waitress was helpful and friendly and recommended great items!

I have not been here in a while. But while I waiting on tires across street I decided to come have breakfast. I'm glad I did. I ordered the pork chop and it was one of the best chops I think I have ever ate. It was good to perfection. The eggs actually came out the way I wanted them. Service by Stanley was great and very attentive to my needs and kept my coffee cup full.

Had the most delicious breakfast here! Krystal our server was just so patient and kind! We have never been and I'm happy we did because the food was great! I had the veggie omelet and country potatoes. The potatoes were fried I believe and they perfect. Not only did my omelet come out like a work of art so did my husbands, whoever was in the kitchen this day definitely has pride in their work. The only thing I say wasn't great was the coffee. But that's ok! Everything else was great can't wait to come back.

I can't remember going to Zingo's Café ever since I was a little girl traveling to Las Vegas. It was my mom's and grandmother's favorite place to stop. The food has always been great and the service is always been top-notch. It's down home cooking with a small town feel. It's always very clean and everyone is so nice. The desserts are another must try as well. Definitely try to stop there and eat if you're on your way through Bakersfield.

We had heard that Zingos was under new ownership and wanted to give it a try. It's right on Buck Owens Blvd and easy to find. We were welcomed and got our choice of seating. We chose a booth. This is a friendly neighborhood diner. We wanted breakfast. My wife picked the French Toast and I, my usual omelet. The portions for both dishes was more than generous. The French toast was very good. Thick pieces of bread, cooked very nicely. The omelet was just what you'd expect. The chef cooked it through, the toppings were plentiful, but not overwhelming. The restaurant was a lot more cleaner than I remembered it a few years back. The staff attentive and friendly. Good coffee. And the prices were reasonable. If you haven't tried Zingos in awhile, give them a go.

The food is very tasty and big portions. Waitress was very welcoming and informative. The inside looks better than the outside. The sign looks like maybe the original from the 60's. Inside are diner style counter, booth and table sitting. They really honor the military service here. We really enjoyed it and plan to come back. Here the menu from September 2025.

Came here for breakfast around 10 am & the interior is large and apparently recently renovated! There are tons of seats, booths + bar seats to choose from, so seating doesn't seem to be a huge issue. The menu is divided by your run of the mill all day breakfast items + lunch items don't start until 11 am. For the cost of each dish, the price is extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get! I love that as a side, you can choose to get toast or biscuits and gravy (you can get it with or without sausage) for no extra cost! Everything was seasoned very well + I felt like I didn't need to add anything extra besides ketchup for my country potatoes.

We have always loved Zingo's. Who Zingo is I have no idea, but I do know the first owner passed and the place was bought and remolded. It is not a fancy remodel and we would not want that. It is just super friendly and welcoming. Parking is super easy in their lot. The place is spotless as are the bathrooms. There is a bar in the back through another door which has all manner of old time fun. Country music, Karaoke nights and just a great time. Zingo's always has a few special events now and again like classic cars that are amazing to look at and the owners are there having a meal with everyone else. This place is just so down to earth, not a mean person in site. The customers are mostly local, some are long haul truck drivers and then there are the people who know you have to eat at Zingo's or you have not really been to Bakersfield. Each table is so cool, it has adverts made right into the table for all sorts of local places. It is super fun to read. They have a large menu and everything is really good, be it breakfast or dinner. The service is great. They are fast and friendly and if you need any information about Bakersfield these are the women to ask. They know the menu well and will tell you what is great. We had burgers, just so tasty and cooked perfectly, salad with a wonderful dressing and coffee that never ends. We also ordered a super tasty lemonade. We had biscuits and gravy and the county sausage gravy was some of the best I have ever had. The biscuits are made there and so fluffy. We also ordered eggs and pancakes. The eggs were large and wonderful. The pancakes were cooked on too hot a grill and made them a tad tough, so turn your grill down, but they were still good. There is not one thing we don't love about this place. They are kid and tourist friendly and you will never be rushed and you will be made to feel at home. I doubt they take reservations. I have never seen a huge line. Have the best time.

Here we are again... we walked out hungry for the rest of the menu. This place NEVER disappoints. We tried something new today, and man, oh man!!!! It was all finger-lickin' good!!! Bellies full to the brim, but we wish we had more chambers in our stomachs to try something else... we had to order the fish N chips (on top of our orders), and it did not disappoint. The owner said we should try the fried okra too, but we had no room for it. The portion size is so big... we had to take our leftover food home. They cater to large families too.. there was a couple long tables they put together to accommodate 15 plus members. This place NEVER disappoints. The staff is super friendly and you can tell they love their customers. The food brings us back... but the staff adds that whipped cream and cherry on top! What do you suggest we try on our next visit??

Chorizo and eggs, biscuits and gravy.

Today we were looking for a Bakersfield institution for breakfast. Struggling to find parking at 9am on a Tuesday was a good sign. Although busy, our server Abby did an outstanding job. Food portions were good and tasty. I had chorizo and eggs and was unable to finish. Pricing was reasonable. I just learned it's Tri-Tip Tuesday today so I should have waited for lunch!

The food was so salty it was hard to enjoy. Gravy was chunky, coffee was old and watered down. Way too expensive for the quality.

Within 15 minutes, the entire restaurant was filled. I ordered the pozole and chile verde pork burrito to go. It took about 20 minutes, which is understandable with a full restaurant. The pozole is simple and delicious: chunks of chicken breast and hominy in a rich broth. I added the diced white onions, cilantro, squeeze of lime and tortilla chips. Delicious, fresh, simple and clean. Love, love, love this pozole. $15.00 The chile verde pork burrito, which I ordered without any additional ingredients, is also delicious. It took a while to be approached by the staff and then luckily seated quickly because a table was miraculously open. But after that we rarely saw our waitress. Long waits in between ordering, receiving food, receiving check etc It was decorated lightly for Harry Potter over its regular decor which was confusing, but the waitress said the owner loved Harry Potter and it was his birthday. Can't argue with that, pop off dude. The food itself was good. I had a latte and a breakfast burrito with chile verde and fruit pancakes. The chile verde was the best part of the meal. Everything else was pretty average and typical for breakfast food. I did like their extensive menu and Mexican American flavors, it was a fun touch. I'm not sure I'll be back on a weekend, not worth the hassle. Would try on a weekday
