I'm not sure why over at Google this dive has 4.4 Stars, cause it's barely worthy of 2. Service was adequate, an older lady who was kind serving me was apologetic when my re-order of bacon was given to someone else. Everything was very subpar: bacon microwaved, hash browns under cooked, sourdough toast thin & tasteless. It was edible, but I used to get better food back in my Air Force days from the mess hall to be honest. I'd skip this place, even though I HATE supporting big Corporate owned chains like IHOP, their food is at least to an acceptable standard. Sorry guys, you missed the mark. Improve your food or get a better short order cook. read more

My Husband and I went to Zingo for dinner tonight. He likes breaks for dinner and was going to order a omelette. Come to find out they only serve breakfast until 2 pm There menu is much smaller. I got the chicken fried steak. It was very good but the gravy wss very water down and no taste to it all. I got 2 sides with my meal. They only had 4 or 5 sides to choose from. No mashed potatoes or bake potato but I was told I could get mashed potatoes witch I did. The meal also came with a salda. Which came out in a small soup bowl. My husband got a bit witch was 14.00 witch I thought was a bit high He said the bacon had no flavor to it at all. If you don't care for chicken dont go.for dinner. They only have the chicken fried steak and spaghetti and other chicken items. No longer a child menu I did not see any French toast which is our daughter and granddaughter favorite. Also my husband loved there tuna salad when it use to be the old dingo but that also is gone. I do not think we will be going back unless they add more things to there meun. read more

After church we decided to try out Zingo's for breakfast. It's been open for a little over a week after new owners took over. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and I ordered the Denver omelette. Their service was pretty good even though it was busy. The food looked good but then my husband tried the chicken fried steak with the gravy and said it was not as good as he's had at other restaurants. He thought the gravy had a sweet taste to it. Not sure if they put sugar in it, but that's the flavor it had. He also said the hash browns were crispy on the outside, but mushy on the inside. My omelette was tasty and the English muffin was perfectly toasted. Don't you hate a mushy wet muffin that's not been toasted enough. Husband said we'll give it a few weeks and maybe come back for lunch. read more

I like coming here when I wanna get real value for my money. The food is good and the portions are healthy! This has good service and they give veterans a good discount like 15%. Some places I go and ask if they have a discount they look at me cross eyed. This place treats anyone good and fair! They don't "portion hoard" here. The staff work hard and have good work ethic. The food was good. Loved the pancakes. The service on the other hand was okay. We had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to tell us that they will assisting us shorty. They seemed a bit understaffed. The manager or boss was helping, but kept forgetting to bring us things that we requested. So we had to ask the waitress as well to bring it to us. There are not many places that are offering this kind of quality service right now (during Covid). Zingo's is local, And a real treasure! I hadn't been to this place in about 5 years. I had a early morning meeting with a customer, we had some time to kill so we decided to go get some breakfast. We were greeted with happy smiles. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted. We sat at a clean booth, the waitress quickly served us some fresh coffee. I ordered a omelet with country potatoes and wheat toast. All of the food was hot and delicious, the friendly waitress stopped by frequently to top off our coffee cups. I don't think I will wait that many years again before I stop back in. the food is good but we waited to long to be served. we were seated right away but we were there for 2 hours! My Dad and I went in for their Fish n Chips today!! They were very good. The fish was obviously fresh and cooked when you order it, the fries were nice and crispy and well seasoned and their Coleslaw was AWESOME!!! The whole meal was fabulous . The portions are huge. Even the glasses of Iced Tea were big. That's a nice change, not to have to ask for refills all the time. Our server was Debra and she was very nice and treated us well. I had never been to Zingos before, but I will definitely be returning. On a side note, great Tartar sauce as well. read more

Went here to check it out since the reopen: they stop serving breakfast at a certain time and that is the biggest portion of their menu is breakfast so that's one bad thing. The servers didn't know their sections when we arrived so we sat at our table waiting for them to decide who was going to help for about 20 minutes and this is when there was no one there, like how about just ask each other or say hey I think that's your table anything else then just looking around and awkwardly not try to make eye contact with the table. The food was just bad the chicken wasn't cooked all the way and the blt was very overdone bacon with a ton of lettuce and way over cut tomatoes that were too big to even place on bread. Very huge let down unfortunately. I hope that other food items might be better but the chicken waffle and the blt don't recommend at all oh and the burger came with 7 fries I don't know if that is their new protocol to not waste fries but generally people are coming in because they are hungry so that was a really big let down as well. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious! The chicken fried steak was as large as the plate!! I'm pretty sure I will have 4 meals from it. Delicious soups and amazing desserts! Prices I found were very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. As a military family member I loved the support shown to Veterans and all military and their family. I guarantee you will not leave hungry and will walk away with a to-go container with you leftovers, and one with a delicious slice of pie to enjoy later in the day! You will keep going back after your first visit. Military are honored on the wall under a beautiful metal United States flag. Take in a picture of your loved one to be honored. The only negative comment I could make would have to be about the parking lot and backing out if you park in the front of the restaurant. My advice is park on the side, especially if you have a larger vehicle. I give Zingo's a 10 for friendly service and delicious food. read more

I have been going to Zingos cafe since i was 19 years old, about 20 years! I was excited to see that the new owners kept the original sign and decor but I am a creature of habit and will no longer be patronizing this local establishment. I waited a long time after the takeover to visit again because I was worried they would change the menu! I always go for a chile verde omelette, extra crispy bacon and biscuit with gravy. Zingo's was the only place that made bacon gravy which I loved because I don't eat sausage. I was very disappointed when my biscuits came slathered in a very generic sausage gravy. My chile verde omelette was bland to say the least and did not have nearly enough cheese! My bacon was chewy instead of extra crispy like I would normally get. So overall my breakfast was a complete disappointment. I am very sad that some of the original recipes were completely thrown out! read more

They left my moms simple fish n chips sitting up ready to go for 10 mins-that too is in a to go box! The ppl seemed lost n disorganized plus it was 40$ n 45 mins!!! Yesterday joined with 9 other seniors at Zingos for our monthly lunch we have at various restaurants around town. Was kind of hesitant to try Zingos so soon after their opening, but after trying their breakfast a couple weeks ahead of our lunch decided to give them a chance. Glad we did, service was great, friendly. I had the chicken strips, they were wonderful. What started out as a minus, they were out of fries, turned into a bonus the substituted onion rings were delicious, ended up happy they didn't have fries. The other meals looked very good as well. It was my first time here. I ordered French toast and didn't even look like French toast. My eggs were not cooked like I'd want them. Very small portions they didn't even give me butter for my toast I had to add my own when I got home. The food was whatever tasting. Big servings, no waiting for a table and food came out fast. I had the 2 egg breakfast with hash browns and crispy bacon. They got the crispy bacon perfect. This is a 5 star diner experience. It's far from a 5 star restaurant, but among diners, it is truly a gem. It's run down, in a crappy area, has a cash only bar attached to it too. But the food, portions, service are top notch. I've done the chili cheese omelette for breakfast and the Zingos roast beef sandwich for lunch. Highly recommend both. It's a big step up from chain diners for sure when we talk food quality. read more
