Opening day at Zippy's on S Eastern Ave! We arrived a little after 8pm. Put our name in for a table for 2. Waited about 10 minutes for our table. Got a booth! Yay! Looked over the menu. They have less choices than the Zippy's in Hawaii. We miss the veggie tofu burger & Teri chicken burger. Maybe they'll add it to their menu one day! We waited a bit for a server, then a female server stopped by to ask if we wanted any drinks. We were ready to order, so she took our full order. Tyler (our server) stopped by to check on us. We told him we already placed our order. He was very sweet, attentive & full of energy! I ordered the veggie chili with rice (added cheese on top) with a side of mac salad. This was our first visit to Zippy's, and the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming. We checked in online since we had a party of six and were told the wait would be about 30 minutes, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated after only 15. The food was solid overall. The chili was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the Korean chicken. The kids' meals were pretty basic--nothing special, but the little ones didn't complain, so no real issues there. Unfortunately, the service brought the experience down. Our server was friendly and upbeat, but it seemed like her section was over-seated. It took quite a while for her to take our order, and when the food arrived, it didn't come out all at once. That's tough when you've got hungry kids waiting. We also never received the garlic bread that was supposed to come with the kids' spaghetti, and even after asking twice, we never got crayons for the kids' menus. To top it off, it took a long time to get our check at the end. Had to flag the server down to get her attention. All in all, the food was good but the service missed the mark. We wanted to give it another chance and came back again in April. The food was okay but the rice had hard pieces. Service was definitely lacking. We had to chase down our server when needing something. Lots of employees just standing around. Stood in the order line to get dessert but was ignored, so we left without buying any. This is the first time we, my wife and I, went to Zippys in Henderson, Nevada. We recently moved from Hilo; Hawaii and we were ONO for some Hawaiian food. We went in for breakfast and got two Meat and eggs-Portuguese sausage, eggs and white rice plates. There was ample parking available, a good number of customers inside and coming and going, the tables were clean. The best part, the food, it was excellent!! The rice was good; eggs were cooked and prepared very well and the Portuguese sausage was just like back in Hawaii. We are surely coming back to Zippy's in Henderson, Nevada for more Ono grinds.... Born and raised in Hawaii, I almost got emotional seeing Zippys open right here in South Las Vegas. I have been waiting for this moment for years and it honestly felt like a piece of home landed in my backyard. I got the Las Vegas Pack with garlic fried chicken, regular fried chicken, hot dog, chili, and rice and it was immaculate. One bite and I swear I was right back home. The flavor, the smell, the comfort, everything was spot on. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the chili was perfect, and the rice tied it all together. The staff was warm and welcoming too, just like back in Hawaii. If you grew up with Zippys, you already know. If you have not tried it yet, this is your sign. My husband and I are loyal to their main location on Badura, and frankly, we will continue to go there even though this one is closer. This food is great, however, my husband and I immediately noticed that they serve a smaller portion than their main location. Not a big deal, but noticeable difference for the same price. This is not our first time visiting this location, went here Christmas day. Had to wait a little bit but the food was good that we decided to go back. This time we got seated promptly but had to wait for our server a good 10 min. Ordered our food and 5 min after it arrived. Normally, thats a good thing. This is my family's very first time coming to ZIPPY's and they were very pleased on what they ordered...The first thing my sister noticed when she came in, is how clean and organize this place is. On top in a kinda small wording. I think you guys should advertise that more that your breakfast is an all day thing cause there's people out there. Like myself . The Belgium waffle was the perfect texture, nice and toasty on the outside soft and fluffy in the inside. It came with a side of butter and syrup along with one egg and my options of meat was three spam. My sister ordered the chicken Katsu and she cannot believe how juicy and tender the chicken was. My brother-in-law ordered the Korean chicken, but we thought he ordered the breakfast version but we believe he got the Ohana version instead either way he was very pleased on how the chicken came out. MY FAMILY REALLY ENJOYED zippys "chantilly long John & the Haupia cake" They were both really good and I would highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!10 out 10 would totally would try again!!!! This is the 3rd location in the Vegas area that we've checked out. Probably WON'T be going back to this one. My food was brought out cold to start with. The teriyaki beef was just beef slices with teriyaki sauce (a little at that) was put on top, I've never had teriyake like that before. When I went to pay, there was a server (not ours) standing at the register and just ignored me, but took care of another customer that came up to pay. And then she walked away. I guess each server just takes care of their own customers, so I had to wait while she took orders from 2 other tables. FINALLY after 10 minutes or so, I paid. While I was paying my husband went to the bakery side and ordered some stuff to go. That was another 15 minutes wait...for pastries that were right there in the desert case. I was expecting the classic Hawaiian comfort food fix, but it fell way short. Ordered the chicken katsu plate (along with a Spam musubi). Spam masubi was okay, nothing special and I weirdly had to wait around for it. The katsu came out looking off--grayish in color instead of golden, and it was chewy and tough. Worst part: I bit into a big tendon that made it inedible. I had waited a long time because my waiter had sent it back for a remake. It was a dragged-out experience. My waitress was nice but, the service was an issue. The place had maybe 6/7 tables occupied total--not busy. It took really long just to get a drink (15+ minutes), after seating, and the server seemed completely overwhelmed and stretched thin. Even paying at the end was a hassle; I had to wait around, I couldn't pay up at the front. I won't be coming back here or ever trying them when I visit Hawaii this summer. We ordered their famous Loco Moco, and it just didn't live up to expectations--the patty tasted burnt and dry, and the gravy was flat and lacked flavor. The portions were generous, but we were really hoping for that distinct local Hawaiian taste we love. I want to share my honest experience with you. Your food has never been the greatest to me, and I've never understood why so many people continue to go--but they do. Clearly, business is going well for you, especially since you've opened three locations in Las Vegas since 2023.Because of that success, I have to ask: if business is thriving, why treat your employees and customers poorly? Tonight--Thursday, December 4, 2025--it was 43 degrees outside. Yet inside your restaurant, your employees were wearing jackets and winter vests, and customers who chose to dine in kept their coats on while complaining about how cold it was the moment they walked in. And then we were served ice water. Ridiculous. I commented to our server about the ice water, and he asked if we wanted to order something else. We joked and said "hot water--and please turn on the heater." He smiled and said, "I know," acknowledging the problem himself. We then told him we wouldn't be staying because it was simply too cold. We wanted to enjoy our food, not freeze while eating it. He just walked away. At the to-go counter, a woman--who I assume was the manager--asked what happened. I explained that it was too cold inside and that it wasn't fair to either the customers or the employees who were bundled up because the heater wasn't being turned on. I told her I would be filing a complaint, and she walked away. Everyone working there acknowledged the cold, yet not a single person said the heater was broken--meaning you're choosing not to use it. It's obvious you're trying to save money at the expense of basic comfort and dignity. Since I can't use certain words here, I'll just say: Zippy's is acting like a bunch of cheat rear ends. read more

The restaurant is beautiful and clean and roomy and the food was delicious (chicken Katsu), but I ordered a side of spam musubi and the waitress never put it in and I never got it. Then when I got a Chantilly Cream Puff on my way out, it was frozen. Also, it was unclear that you had to wait to be seated. The sign said dine in this way, so I followed the sign and sat at a table just to wait for 15 minutes without anybody acknowledging me until my friend walked up to the waitress. Maybe my fault for just sitting somewhere, but it was unclear and someone should have at least said something to me instead of letting me sit there. Been eating here since our chilhood days in Hawaii. Zippys has always been a family favorite. I ordered some fried chicken and its a good thing i forked it first to check doneness. The chicken was undercooked and runny with blood. They were happy to replace it no issues. I understand it hapoens, so hopefully they pay more attention to whatever caused this. Other reports from family and friends had the same issue at a different location as well. Wont stop coming here to dine as its always good food and service but will definitely be checking the chicken before consuming. read more
