A very cool spot, 3rd and Lindsley hosted a songwriter's session this past weekend. We got to listen to Cross Atlantic, the Montana boys and Ray Stevenson. All three were delightful performers. The entire show lasted about 1.5 hours. On top of the performance, the southwest burger I got was rather appetizing. This little music venue needs to remain a hidden Nashville gem. read more

So happy we were able to experience 3rd and Lindsley for "Bluebird on 3rd" for a lunchtime show last Monday. The music was incredible. The atmosphere was intimate even though the venue was fairly large. Tasty food and beverages, and our server, Ryan, was a delight. read more

3rd and Lindsley is an interesting spot to catch a show. I particularly like heavier rock shows at this location as the acoustics and set up here are intimate but clean, comfortable and a little more upscale than some such shows typically get. To top it all off, this place actually has food with waiter service---and it is pretty good! It's nice to stop in for a band you really like but that isn't the normal crowd-drawing Nashville act, get in when the doors open, sit and order a meal and a brew, and still have time to get in the pit near the stage after a good meal. Parking is odd here as you're likely to end up in one of the many neighboring businesses which close before this place usually opens but luckily they're all mostly cool with that. read more

My rating is for the venue as a music venue. We saw Willie Watson and it was a fantastic show. Not a large space so it seems intimate. Dood is not great but ok in a pinch. Disappointed in the entry where they say the check for vax status but they don't enforce. The couple that entered before us told the man at the door that only one of the was vaxed and he waived them through regardless. read more

WOW. It had been a hot minute since I checked out a show at 3rd & Lindsley (Delta Spirit) and wowie does it look fantastic in here... This venue also boasts great sound acoustics and stiff drinks which make for a mighty fine combo, right? The new larger stage setting is really great and the layout is much more conducive for the crowd. We checked out the The Conspirators late show (post Southern Ground Festival) and really had a good time I will definitely be back soon. read more

Gahhhh I felt like we hit the jackpot that Vince Gill was there with the Time Jumpers tonight! My sweet step mom cried tears of joy when she saw he was there and tears of joy during each song he sang and then tears of sadness that he wasn't able to take a pic or sign her new Time Jumpers cd - She was just 3 people left waiting as he loaded out the last piece of gear. She grew up listening to him and Amy and through the tears she said, "That's okay it was a fantastic night, I had a good time"... and it was on her bucket list so glad we were able to get tickets and get a good seat. Our waitress was o! The music is like none other. The drinks were meh (wine, seemed watered down), the food was decent. The sampler platter tasted like it was just warmed up (whereas in the past it's always been really good!), however the turkey swiss croissant was really good and so were the fries! It seems like it's always hit or miss. I'd say don't choose a seat that is in the far back bc you'll be forgotten in the mass of people when it comes to refills and bringing food out timely. read more

Great location for food and music on a Monday night in Nashville. The catfish dinner was great. Drinks are not expensive, and The Time Jumpers band is fantastic. Old country swing music, like the band "Asleep at the Wheel "...actually better! Our server Mina had only been there 3 days, but she did a great job. We got there a little after 5:00 and got a good table close to the stage. Took our time with drinks, appetizers, then dinner. The band played for 2.5 hours, and the place was packed. Obviously it's a popular place with the locals on a Monday night. If you're a visitor to Nashville, I highly recommend it. read more

What a cool place for a concert! It has that perfect "Nashville" feel too! There is upper/balcony seating, room by the bar, and a lower pit area that puts you very close to the band performing. My friend and I went for an Echosmith concert and we had a great time! I really enjoyed the venue itself and parking nearby was only $5 (on a Thursday). I'm going to be honest. I thought this venue was 12th and Porter... woops! Now I know there are 2 locations that are named after cross streets in Nashville. My bad! I tagged along with a fellow Yelper to a Katie Herzig show on a Sunday night where they were also broadcasting live on Lightening 100. The venue is a good size and has a lot of tables and is mostly seated space. In fact, I don't recall anyone standing at the show. It was $8 at the door and a great time! I grabbed an order of spinach dip to snack on while I enjoyed the show and it was OK. The croud was great and the show was excellent! They have a private parking area with plenty of space for everyone, which is nice for a downtown location. I really enjoyed this venue and will be back to hear some more great music in the future! read more

This was a quick lunch spot for us while we were out and about in Nashville on a short weekend trip. There wasn't many options for parking as there were only about 10 spots infront. There was a lot next door that charged a $10 fee. I do think parking can probably be tricky at most places in downtown Nashville so this wasn't surprising. There was a huge stage inside for live music. We got to see a few really good acts. It is loud so I wouldn't suggest this place if you are wanting to go out somewhere and chat with people. It's more for watching/listening the musical acts. We came with my husband, parents and 3 kids. They didn't have a highchair which kind of stunk so our little one at to eat on our lap. They also didn't have a kids menu. Kids are allowed but I wouldn't consider this a kid friendly place. The server was friendly and helped us find something on the menu that the kids would like. The food was pretty typical American food. Not bad but not outstanding or anything. Typical bar food. I think I would have enjoyed this place more if I had a few hours to kill (without my kids) and drink a few beers while enjoying some good local Nashville music. read more

Update: once we became familiar with the drill this has become one of our favorite places in Nashville with top-notch entertainment and reasonably-priced menu offerings. That said for a 9:00 PM Monday night Time Jumpers show we arrive at 5:00 PM to get in line for the doors open at 5:30 and we want to be assured of a decent seat. We have found the same people attend the show week after week and it been very pleasant to visit with them. I went to see the Time Jumpers(with Vince Gill), it was probably the best 20 bucks I ever spent! I believe they play most Monday nights there. What a place to watch live music, nothing beats a small intimate venue! Our waitress gave excellent service, even with the show being sold out! Food was good and affordable. They have a bunch of awesome painted portraits of music legends. This place is a most do! It is about a mile off Broadway, but you can get a golf cart ride for tips only, it is called "Joyride provided by the city of Nashville. Oh yeah, their alcohol there is pretty good too! read more

Where to begin? For starters: They don't allow smoking! Thank the Good Lord & Baby Jesus. For the con's: Let me put this early in the review - do NOT go for the food. It is all microwaved/deep fried FREEZER food from Sam's Club. It. Is. Terrible. Sure the prices aren't horrendous, but the food IS. The cheese sticks are straight up the "Farm Rich" ones from the green and white freezer bag. Yeah, you know the ones I'm talking about. Pre-packaged, not fresh burgers. Even the waitress said nothing was made in-house. Everything is from cans, bags, and came out of the freezer. All the other review are correct also, the service is SLOWWWW. They also got our order wrong twice. For the pro's however: The venue is very neat. Used to be a TON smaller, and it appears in the last few years they've bought the place next door and knocked out a whole wall, doubling their size and moving the stage out another 30-40 foot. This is a cool place to come watch talented acts on a super small stage. Decent seating from the floor, ok seating in the balcony sections, however if you get the wrong table on either side, you'll be looking at the speaker boxes all night. All-in-all, very neat, small, and intimate venue to see true Nashville talent and artists for a pittance of a price. Go! (Just eat before or after the show...) read more

Smokers galore right at the entrance door. Didn't want to have to walk thru the fog of the smoke and smell like a pack of Winston's. Venue has very little available parking. Small lot is not lit. Very cool nostalgic venue, But felt so sorry for the servers. When you let everyone in venue at one time, they just cannot keep up. She worked so hard to keep us happy! This is a great venue for an intimate live show. There was ample free parking, great service, and a terrific, clean house sound system. Not too loud and mixed just right. There is also ample table seating both upstairs and down with a variety of solid sight lines. I highly recommend this spot for a mature, enjoyable concert experience. 3rd and Lindsley is a music venue out of the way of downtown, but with a great live stage sound. It's worth driving the 6 extra blocks past Broadway down to the end of 3rd street to visit 3rd and Lindsley. The venue has nice sightlines so that you can see the stage from most spots in the room. They have a small upper balcony where notable ears like to listen from. I like to go to 3rd and Lindsley for their Sunday Night live broadcast. They broadcast the show on Lightening 100 from 8-10pm. The band is usually some good up and coming band. I saw Landon Pig perform here a while back and he sounded great. The room sound is balanced well, so you can hear everything without going deaf. Go on a Sunday night, it's a lot of fun. read more

Went to Backstage Nashville yesterday and WOW! It was a fabulous event with Devon Oday as hostess and 5 great songwriters performing. Excellent venue with social distancing and servers far above average. Can't say enough about how these songwriters shared how their songs evolved. Good opportunity to get out and hear live music. Dylan Altman was last to perform and made the show!! Not only with his writing ability, but with his personality-truly an over-the-top writer, musician and exceptional entertainer. I wouldn't go here for the food. Ever. Ordered a cheeseburger. They give you a choice of American or swiss, but if you say swiss you will still get American. The burger came was severely dried out and tasted like it had been in the freezer too long. My first time here, on Valentine's day. Recently single, i arrived 45 minutes before opening, stood in line in the cold, so i could have a choice table by the dance floor/band, in the hopes of attracting other singles. My idiot server-Jamie, told 5 latecomer COUPLES, that i had room at my table, where they could sit!?!? WHY?!? What idiot server has EVER done that in the history of clubs; AND ON VALENTINE'S DAY?? WHY would i want another couple to sit with me. I've been C**K-Blocked before, but not by my server. Lost a star in my book tonight. It won't hurt you and it won't matter. And even though we love you (and the great music made on stage here hundreds of nights a year), when you sell hundreds of tickets and people stand in line starting at 4:30, they're going to be hungry. So when (in your words) "400 people ordered at once" it's gonna get crazy. Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't want to cook food for that many people...hungry people...but maybe think through some options that don't leave you saying "the kitchen is messed up." Making more burgers takes time, right, but some of our party waited well over an hour for their food (and finally got their food well after people who ordered after them). Maybe plan ahead? Maybe give ordering pads to people in line and process orders as they enter...I don't know. That's your business. I just think you could do better at that. Still love ya...always will. But next time we'll likely eat before we get in line. And by the way...I'm still waiting for my fries. read more

As a musical venue they would get 5 stars. Lots of great bands come through this place. But as a bar and restaurant they really fail. Their food is not good. It's not even ok. Overcooked, freezer burnt burgers. Overcooked fries. The servers and bartenders dont care at all. Most of them have bad attitudes. Even the soda tastes gross, like they use an off brand. On our way to visit friends in South central Tennessee we arrived in Nashville on a Monday and planned a visit to 3rd & Lindsley to hear the The Time Jumpers, a legendary Western Swing band who performs there on most Monday nights. The band is a group of veteran Nashville musicians and they are excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed their performance. The club has lots of table space on both the main floor and the balcony. Our balcony table provide good sight lines and the sound system enabled us to hear the music clearly. There was a party of 3-4 couples behind us who talked loudly and incessantly throughout the evening. To those attending any/all music performances: PLEASE be courteous and considerate by keeping your conversation at a table level. Even if you aren't there to hear the music, most of those around you are. It would be helpful if management made an announcement to that effect prior to the show. As a final note on the venue: the service was good, drinks were good, but we don't recommend eating there. The food was passable, at best. Due to our arrival time in Nashville we didn't have time to go to dinner before the show and still get there in time to get a table so, we chose to dine there. We suggest you make time to dine elsewhere. read more

Everything you'd expect and more! Attended the time jumpers show on Monday. The show started at 8, but crowd shows up hours early to hold down tables for the evening. If you want a table with service, you probably have to arrive like 90+ minutes before the show. We sat at the bar and had a great time and great service. Music was fun and like an educational lesson. So, I've been here exactly once. One time. Tonight. I watched the Melvins, a life long dream, and it only cost me $18 to get in the door. I had seats that gave me an amazing view of the stage (I have grown too old for mosh pits, but I love to watch) the band was amazing. The food was exceptional, and the staff was outstanding. The venue was clean, and small, the best I've seen in a very long time, and I go to stuff like this a lot. 3rd and Lindsley will have my business at any point and time that someone is there that I even kinda wanna see. They've performed with Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Amy Grant and Vince Gill. Very fun and lively blues country and western music. Enjoyed it immensely. I'm giving this place 5 stars because as a music venue its quite possibly one of my top 3 places for seeing a show, especially since the place underwent a drastic makeover since my first time checking it out. It has amazing acoustics, lots of seating, and an overall ambience of just plain awesome. My one caveat here is that the food, while good, won't really blow your mind. It's bar food people, and that's ok. It's good for bar food as well. Sandwiches and appetizers, which is really all you need when your focus is on a concert. And it may take you a while to get your food, and your drinks, if you are fortunate enough to snag a table for a Sunday night show (Lightning 100 puts on Nashville Sunday Nights Live at 3rd and Lindsley every Sunday, with some great up and comers and local favorites...doors open at 6pm, shows at 8pm, so if you want a seat, COME EARLY). At my last visit I noticed each server had a very large section to take care of, so keep this in mind when ordering. They bust their butts, so give them some patience. But onto why you come to this essential Nashville establishment...THE MUSIC. Oh my GOD the amazing music, and it's so intimate in here. It's like being totally immersed in the whole musical experience. It's so much fun. Your best option is to come early, get dinner, have drinks, and wait for the show. Bring friends. Check out an artist you may never have heard of because someday when they play Bridgestone Arena you're going to be happy you did. Again, it fills up in here quickly, and parking is pretty limited at the place itself, so be ready to walk from the surrounding streets. It's not expensive at all for a night out here (tickets are usually around $10, and the entrees on the menu are about the same). I have only ever been here for shows so I'm not sure what it's like on a regular music-free night, but for all the shows I've been to here I've had a great time, and I will continue to come here and check out whatever performers they have. read more

Our waitress was awesome. The venue was packed, all seats full. Service was timely, cheerful and downright delightful. The drinks and foods were very reasonably priced and tasty. We saw Tim Akers & The Smoking Section last night at this venue; to say the band was amazing is a gross understatement! I have not yet had enough coffee to think of the appropriate words to describe this band of 16 or so musicians.
