Very aesthetically pleasing and great ambiance. Everyone seemed pretty nice. The pricing is relatively average for an artisan bakery. I got the sun-dried tomato pastry with Oaxaca cheese and did not super enjoy it. The savory filling was great and had great flavor but the Oaxaca cheese didn't bring much to the pastry. There wasn't much of a taste to the cheese and it made the pastry EXTREMELY oily. Instead of biting into a nice, buttery pastry, it was soggy and greasy. The pastry was definitely flaky and fresh. The gochujang roll was not as flaky because of the caramelized gochujang so it held together but was a tad stale. I personally thought the pastry was overly sweet and didn't have a great balance like the first one. The gochujang glaze was already sweet on the outside but the filling was sweet onion. I would add some spice or salt to balance the pastry a little more. The gochujang roll was definitely presented nicely! read more

I've been a regular here ever since they opened about a year ago. I don't buy grocery store bread any more. Yes it's expensive but I am happy to support a small local business in my neighborhood that is absolutely one of the best bakeries in the area. No bad choices - I get sucked into grabbing a pastry almost every time I'm there to pick up a loaf of sourdough. I have been to this bakery several times before. I have always enjoyed their chocolate and plain croissants. They have a nice crunchy exterior and a soft center. I was glad that I didn't have to drive to LA for good croissants. However, for some reasons, today their plain croissants were too greasy. They were not good. Not what I expected from them. I would give this place 4.5 stars and would come back again to try other pastries. I was looking forward the most to trying the blue corn masa sourdough bread as I love sourdough and I love corn. For whatever reason I didn't like the flavor. I don't know why but it didn't work for me even though it is so popular. The ube croffle was delicious. It's fresh and crispy with the sweet ube filling. My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE was the rosemary focaccia. Omg it was the best focaccia I have ever had PERIOD. The flavor tastes like onion even though there's no filling. It was savory and oniony. Stopped in this morning for breakfast and some treats. Do not let the long line turn you away! The closer we got to the door we were greeted with the delicious smell of warm fresh bread. We ended up getting a mix of items. Several items were sold out but that only insured we will be back! We got the crescent style cinnamon roll. So delicious. Crispy and lots of cinnamon. It is topped with a cream cheese frosting. I prefer without the frosting but I must say that this was delicious and I did not scrape any off. We tried Pain de Sol. So fluffy and lightly sweet. Long line - be willing to wait a bit. Once inside - the process moves fast. Team inside is friendly and very organized. I ordered a butter croissant, pain au chocolat, choc chip cookies, some kid of cinnamon roll/croissant in its own tin and a sourdough bread. I give the cookies an 8.5, the croissants an 8, the cinnamon pastry a 7.5 and an 8 in the bread. A great spot if you're in the area. This is the best bakery you'll find in Orange County! Today was my second visit, and it was just as amazing as my first visit. Seeing Karlo, the owner, passing out samples to people in line and thanking them for waiting is such a cool thing to witness and experience as a customer. The workers here are also so inviting and kind. I'm grateful for having such an amazing bakery in my neighborhood, especially after experiencing so many wonderful bakeries in Korea and Japan, I've longed for something like this in Orange County. Every single item I've tried so far has been an 11/10. The scones are NOT DRY, so perfectly buttery and flaky and melts in your mouth. The croissants are all incredible quality, and the sour dough bread is so decadent, moist, perfectly crispy on the outside, has the most perfect cross section, and freezes wonderfully too!!! I wonder how possible it is for everything to taste so good here? The quality of all the baked goods here are top notch (it's totally worth the $$), I almost don't want to spend my money at any other bakery tbh haha, and I still haven't found anything that beats 61 hundred in Orange County! The lines are long for a reason I happened to be close by and was curious how a bread place could be SO popular, and after trying their breads... I get it. One of the staff who helped me told me that I couldn't go wrong ordering any of the breads, and honestly, I think they were right. I enjoy their elote bread, rosemary focaccia, the blue corn bread. Delicious! I tried several different things and I think my favorite sweet was the ube cruffin. The ube cream in the cruffin makes it unreal. The rosemary focaccia was my fav bread, light and olive oily and perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. The blue corn mesa sourdough was also really good, soft and fluffy inside and perfectly crispy crunchy outside. Truly the perfect sourdough loaf. read more

Service is quick (& note that they do tend to sell out quick) My family and I are fans of the focaccia bread (amongst other things) I haven't taken any pictures since we gobble everything up lol definitely a favorite spot now. Great bakery, I frequently drive 30+ miles through traffic to just get the most flakey, rich and soft inside with layers and layers croissant! Another one was milk sourdough bread.... yum. After hearing and seeing lots of good things about this place, decided to give it a shot. It is all street parking but we were able to easily find some but maybe during busier days of the week there might be harder to find. Lots of seating but mainly outside. There is a line but I found that it does move quickly than I originally thought! Now for the food, it is on the pricer side in comparison to other bakery places around $6-$8 per pastry. We did end up getting the sandwich they offer ($15) and was not a fan. It is like wholesome ingredients but it was nothing crazy for $15 and very basic with just squash, ham, and some oil? (It was huge though ill give them that) As for the pastries we got the chocolate chip scone which I absolutely loved ! It has that classic scone texture along with chocolate chips sprinkled inside which added a nice crunch and was very filling. The blue corn masa muffin was also amazing! I felt a little overwhelmed as soon as we walked in and right away we were asked what we would like to order so I definitely felt rushed so I was like this, that, that. Thanks lol. We got the ube cronut, savory croissant, strawberry olive oil cake and a pain au chocolat. To drink, we got a cappuccino and a pistachio latte with an ube cold foam. The ube cronut was delicious- just a little too sweet for me. The savory croissant was delicious. It tasted like a pizza on delicious, flaky croissant. The pain au chocolat was my fav - super flaky and amazing. The olive oil cake was not for me- it tasted more like a marzipan so that was a little disappointing since I love olive oil cake. The cappuccino was delicious even though it wasn't your regular cappuccino with foamy/ frothy milk and finally the pistachio latte was so good. Are you kidding me? This bread place is taking all my money. I've been here three times, back-to-back weekends. My favorites are the rosemary focaccia and the monkey queen. The cookie is good too--pretty standard, classic, and delicious. I can usually eat everything and still have some focaccia leftover. There is a line, but it moves pretty quickly. I believe the owner is Filipino and has a popular ube cronut. I don't eat purple, though, but if I did, I'd totally go for that pastry too. The pull apart pandesal, not the traditional pandesal but we dont hate it. Foccacia? I prefer the sweet one. Japanese milk bread loaf is an easy choice, perf for brick toast. Buuutter! Got there while the line was around the building. Finally got to the counter to order a loaf of Red Fife Sourdough. A wonderful crusty bread with a sour aftertaste we also got a loaf of sourdough Japanese milk bread a soft and fluffy bread that can be sliced for sandwiches. And finally Their bread pudding, a taste bud adventure full of chocolate and butter. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
