This place has amazing pan dulce I went once and now I'm hooked on their bread. I originally went in to try their tres leche but it's too sweet for me. If you're not into sweet sweet cakes then I don't recommend the tres leche here. I also tried their arroz con leche and it's pretty yummy, on the sweeter side too. But all the pans are very good and great pricing too. It's my go to for pan dulce fix. read more

Great spot for Mexican pan! For about 8 years I have been searching for a delicious panaderia. The spots I have tried have been bland and dry, up until now. I am sad that I hadn't discovered this place earlier, but will definitely be back in the future. Their hours are reasonable and everything is fresh, with a wide variety. I came to get bread because this place is good, but customer service sucks. I was not even done getting the bread since I had two trays I placed one on the counter and the older lady was putting it in bags so when I saw I asked if they can put it in a box since it's for a rosary. Good lord the lady got mad and then the young girl takes over and starts slamming stuff, slamming the bread doors. So I said loud really your getting mad because I asked for a box. Hidden GEM!! I live in LAKEWOOD,CA I was in the Santa Ana area for a high school baseball game. In my area I have tried so many panaderia's and they are all an EPIC FAIL. Finally I found one of the best authentic REAL MEXICAN PANADERIA's I was in HEAVEN! My FAVORITE was the HUGE CONCHA I ate in my car and devoured it. I went back inside to buy some more and they were all GONE. The nice Latina lady told me those are the ones that sell out first. They have other breads and sweet goodies that you may want to try. Although the pan is very good their services are not. A friend of mine brought me some of their pan dulce to try. So I placed an order 2 weeks in advance of my party. Unfortunately I did not get the number of guests I thought I would. I called them to reduce the order but they ended up cancelling it saying it was not big enough so they canceled my order altogether. Then they said they would not refund my money. They would give me credit. It's gonna take a long time to use up that money. The person I ordered with never said this was a non-refundable order. I did not see anything in the store indicating this either. So my advice is don't place a large order unless you're absolutely sure you're not changing anything on it. I've pretty much lost my money as I don't go to Santa Ana very often. read more

Horrible customer service! I was looking for a bakery to make a tres leches cake for a friend for his birthday, he just recently lost his best friend who every year made him a tres leches cake for his birthday. This had high ratings on yelp and google, I wanted to order for friend, I also called a friend of mine who lives in. Santa Ana and told this bakery is amazing! I called and the lady who answered the phone spoke Spanish, I asked her if someone there spoke English and her response was a heavy sigh and said "NO!" And then hung up on me. This is my childhood bakery. I love the pan Dulce! I give the pan Dulce a 5 stars and 1 star for costumer service. The lady's are so rude which is a shame since I know this bakery is amazing. I ordered a party size jello and a flan. I took it to a party and the flan was burnt and I went back to exchange it. The lady said it depends who makes it. Came in today craving some Pan Dulce. I'm not from the area but looked upon Yelp to see if I could find a spot that sells Mexican bread near the hotel I'm staying at. As soon as I walked in it smelled like fresh bread, which is always a good sign. I came in at about 2:30 in the afternoon and there was fresh warm Pan Dulce everywhere. Then what impresses me the most above all the delicious freshly baked bread is the customer service. They really go above and beyond. It's really a hole in the wall bakery a true mom and pop operation. I always grab the birthday cakes for my family or celebrations. Always moist always full of lots of fruit.
