[[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful experience. Very small and intimate with a beautiful bar and a menu that feels thoughtful and elevated without trying too hard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cocktails were unique and well balanced. I had the cherimoya daiquiri (tasted more like a lychee martini) and the yuzu margarita and really enjoyed both. We ordered almost everything on the menu including the quail, mole, tomato feta salad, crispy beef tacos, and the tuna + kanpachi tostadas. Everything was seasoned really well and tasted fresh with lots of bold flavors throughout. They definitely love adding peppers and spice into their dishes, which I personally enjoyed, but my friend who's more sensitive to heat wasn't really warned how spicy some items would be. While everything was good and clearly made with care, there wasn't necessarily one standout dish that I would rush back specifically for. Still, the overall experience, ambiance, and quality of the food made it worth trying and I'd absolutely come back for drinks and small bites with friends. They do have a small shared parking lot in front, but it fills up quickly during dinner hours, so I'd give yourself extra time in case you need to find street parking nearby. Bonus that they're right next to the churro place so we walked over there after dinner.

A Tí/to you is in a more upscale strip mall elevated from Sunset Boulevard so hidden from view. There is a small parking lot. First come, first served. A Tí is the creation of Chef Andrew Ponce, who was Chef de Cuisine at Bestia and did a stint at une étoile Taco María. Chef Ponce is in good company with Chef Roberto Berrelleza of Babita Mexicuisine who was one of the first to use French culinary technique to various regional Mexican cuisines, and Chef Carlos Salgado of Taco María who had his own "Alta California" style. Now it is Chef Ponce's turn to place his imprimateur on the Mexican American scene. It will be a pleasure to see how his notable cuisine continues to evolve. A comforting note to all afraid of piquant chiles, there was no chile heat to any of the dishes I ordered. 1) Tuna Tostada is unlike any that I have ever tasted. Thin cuts of yellowfin tuna fatty belly, that is dressed with a red tinted, oily Salsa Negra, acts like a pavé on ultra crisp, light, fried/toasted? corn tortilla with an underlying lemon Aïoli (ah ee oh lee). The tactile sensation is a complex combination of smooth, suave, velvety, satiny vs airy crispness. The unctuous, capsicum earthiness and the citrus creaminess add richness. This is a wowser of a dish not to be missed. 2) Quail: Whole quail cut up in quarters seems dusted in corn starch batter and fried similar to Japanese Kara Agè. Crispy, crunchy, fried in new sweet, clean oil. Two slices of what may be pickled Nopal/cactus paddle were hidden in the sauce. The sauce is buttermilk based with Ancho chile dressing and splotches of chile oil. This dish also seems to reference our Deep South where chicken is marinated in buttermilk prior to frying for moister meat. 3) Fish Taco: Striped Seabass white meat lightly grilled to not dry out the delicate fish. Shredded cabbage and pickled slivered onion dyed red by Jamaica Hibiscus flower all on a purple corn Tortilla. I really couldn't sense the Chipotle/smoky Jalapeño. Elevated street taco style. 4) The 800 day old Mole concept is like many Japanese Rāmen shops where the soup broth ingredients are added to the pot but the pot is never emptied. There is some tiny bit of the original. This Mole seems chock full of herbs that I probably don't know anything about, but could imagine that I tasted chocolate and peanuts. The Confit de Canard/duck like Carnitas is cooked in its own juices and fat for a long time. The skin is fatty, lush, rich. The meat is plush, moist, soft. It is the perfect Confit. Do I sense a hint of lardon to add a porky smokiness? Jamaica pickled onions to clear the palate with a gastrique, and cool lime crema to refresh the mouth. Thick, chewy, soft yet firm purple corn Tortillas to make your own Taco de Pato. 1-4a) A Tí Ni is a portmanteau of the name of the restaurant and the Ni in Martini as explained by the ever busy, hard working bartender. Mezcal based so there is a cloying smokiness, smooth sweetness. Also added Ayuuk Pasilla spirit which is pasilla mixe chiles grown by the indigenous Mixe people in Oaxaca, Mexico, smoke-dried. Japanese gin for more refined herbals and Vermouth. Hoja Santa oil which some sense as earthy, anise, eucalyptus. This was the perfect pairing to the entire meal although it sang amazingly well with the Tuna Tostada. 5) Budino is Italian chocolate Mousse, but this time Mexicanized by the use of Oaxacan chocolate and addition of Hoja Santa oil. Perhaps this was inspired by pre-conquest Mexican Emperors who were one of the elite to imbibe bitter chocolate with sacred herbs. This version is extra heavy, thick and chocolatey with subliminal earthiness. Unfortunately, there is no coffee to pair the bitter with the sweet. With the demise of Babita and Taco María, A Tí seems to be one of the few premier Mexican American restaurants carrying the torch for "La Cocina Nueva Mexicana Norte Americana". Sampling Chef Ponce's technically superior and inspired cuisine, I get the feeling Guide Michelin recognition may be coming its way. 4+ stars PS I get A Tí wants to be cool and hip which is fine. The room gets so dark that it's a shame that it does not do justice to the food. Seeing his creations in better light must be glorious. Some minor service glitches such as trying to swiftly whisk away dishes I haven't quite finished without asking. The well meaning staff doesn't yet seem to have developed a finer intuitive sense.

Luckily, there was parking open on the lot upon arriving. Peter greeted us the minute we walked up to the restaurant. He sat us right away and was an amazing waiter. Gave us great suggestions and make sure to check in on us the whole time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is dim but inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The tuna tostada is a must!

This place was excellent, I highly recommend. The Kanpachi tostada ... was amazing. The fish was super fresh and abundant. I loved the salsa and the blue corn tortilla. And, I liked the saltines to it. It wasn't too much but it was there. Duck Confit w/ mole This is probably the best mole I've had in years. It was rich, complex and a bit sweet. I love the duck confit as well. Shrimps & Black Cod Both amazing and highly recommended. The A ti ni Very boozey and Mezcal forward but light. Again, highly recommended. Definitely 5 stars and worth a try

A Ti is a neat, cozy Mexican with Asian influence restaurant that has some tasty bites. We showed up at opening without a reservation and were able to sit at the bar (if you go early even with 4 people you can likely sit outside). A tini was a nice spirit forward drink that tasted elevated but still easy to drink. Tuna Tostada - love the flavors here. Quality of fish was good and worked really well with the aioli and lan ga ma-esque seasoning Shrimp - good tasty bites here. Love the cook and sauce that was brushed on Beef tacos - skippable. Like a quality version of a basic ground beef taco but not worth it when there's more worthwhile items on the menu Wish I had space for some of the entrees. Bartender was awesome and help. Plaza parking available.

Dine LA is what brought us to A Ti. We'd heard about this restaurant all of 2025 and we finally paid a visit to see what the fuss was all about. So glad we did! Please note though that the space is tiny. Tables are close together like they are at Sugarfish or Matu. If you arrive early for your reservation, expect to be asked to wait outside for a few minutes before getting sorted out. Additionally, parking is problematic. A Ti is in a strip mall but there are only maybe 10 or so spaces, so if they're taken up by customers of the other stores, you'll need to circle around the block. Now the food. We all chose the tuna tostadas as our first course and we were all so happy we did. The tuna was pounded flat and garnishes with some sort of salsa and chili oil. It was flavorful and crispy and was perfectly balanced. Not greasy even with the chili oil and salsa negra. It could've stood to have more tuna but I was in love. The crispy beef taco was a standout. My son loved it so much he had to have a couple more! The tortilla has a gorgeous mouthfeel to it - even with the hot beef and cheese filling, it maintained its structural integrity. The salsa completed it - it's the needed acid to help offset all that umami. The Wagyu steak was also wonderful. And it's a surprisingly generous portion! We loved it with the soft tortilla. The green onions were a little hard to manage because they're served to you whole and slicing them after they'd been cooked in oil is a bit tricky. Otherwise, it's a beautiful entree. For dessert we got the budino. It's not part of the dine LA offering but I suggest getting this! Their version has some sort of sea salt on top which truly brought out the cocoa flavors. Not too sweet! All in all, this night was a success. Shoutout to Daniel for being so attentive to our needs. Now we know what to expect. And we're definitely coming back so we can try everything else on the menu!

Came to this place for dinner and I absolutely loved their ambiance. Their low lighting and decor really added to the food experience. I started with a few appetizers like the tuna tostada, Kanpacha tostada, red snapper ceviche and their aguachiles. All food was 10/10. I also had their crispy beef taco but was not impressed by it. My friend had the oyster mushroom and swore it was amazing. For their main dish we got the duck with 800 day old mole along with the Arranchera . The main dishes were shareable however the appetizer tostadas were really not. Would be nice if they had smaller tostadas so it could be shared. Overall I give this place a high recommendation. Also! There is parking available when you drive into the place. Service was 10/10. The waiter was very attentive and helped us with any question we had in regard to our food.

Walked in tonight to try their DineLA offerings. I liked that there was a small private lot, a rarity on Sunset. The only thing open for seating was at the bar. The boozy agua Fresca with mezcal was divine! Onto the food.. the DineLA menu featured an app, a taco and a main. By far, the star was the app for me- the Caesar salad. I could eat this every day! The lettuce was fresh, crisp and had a lemony flavor. The crouton bits were obviously house made and so full of flavor. I wish there had been more than four in my salad. The dressing and cheese coating were perfection. Next I had a beef taco. It was ok.. the cheese on top tasted vegan-y (is that a word?). The sauce made it more palatable, but this one gave me some heartburn later. For the main, I went with the arrachera. I wanted to love it, but the seasoning was a bit much and the outer parts were charred. The blue nixtamal mini tortillas made the first bite tolerable until it wasn't. My friend had the duck mole, and that was absolutely chef's kiss! I wish I had chosen that. The staff were attentive and friendly. I would definitely come back for a do over and get the mole.

A modern Mexican bistro located in a small strip mall on Sunset Blvd. While there are tacos, mole, and ceviches in the menu it is not your typical Mexican fare. Nearly everything on the menu is a modern interpretation of traditional Mexican. The Mole with duck confit was delicious. The quail was crispy with a slight kick. The sweet potato taco was recommended by our server and it didn't disappoint. The El Pastor was not quite what I had expected. Instead of thin layers of pork it had chucks of pork belly. Overall a refreshing take on Modern Mexican cuisine.

Visited A Tí on a Friday night and we had a reservation for an outdoor table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After being outside I would have preferred to be inside. However, It did look rather small inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was overall acceptable. We started with chips and guacamole, which was surprisingly very tasty the chips had good zest and flavor. I ordered a couple cocktails, but the standout cocktail for me was the nopal it was fantastic. We tried the fish tacos which had a good flavor and a great salsa that balanced out the rest of the ingredients. The beef tacos were not good they were oily and had no flavor. Overall, I'd say try A Tí once.

All the food was sooo good and flavorful! Ranking of what I had: 1. Tuna tostada - flavor bomb, but can feel pricey for $18. Haven't had a tuna tostada like this before though 2. Oyster mushroom tacos - beautiful combo of sour, salty and richness 3. Al pastor - delicious 4. Branzino - great flavor 5. Duck mole - delicious and interesting elevation The aguafresca with mezcal was on the sour side, but all the food was amazing! Props to my friend James for recommending this place! Yummm yummmm FYI they take reservations and there's a parking lot in front with free parking

I recently discovered this delightful restaurant on the Resy app and was eager to try it. From the moment I walked in, the inviting atmosphere and vibrant vibe set the perfect tone for my dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and offered fantastic recommendations, which was especially helpful for my first visit. The seating arrangements were ample, with a comfortable indoor area and a lovely outdoor space. I opted to dine outside, taking advantage of the cool evening breeze and the romantic lighting that made for a charming atmosphere. When it came to the food, I ordered several dishes: aguachile, al pastor tacos, crispy beef tacos, and mole. Each item was nothing short of delicious, bursting with flavor. However, the standout for me was undoubtedly the al pastor tacos. As a fan of al pastor, I can confidently say that these tacos rank among the top three I have ever tasted. Each bite was a perfect blend of flavors, complemented beautifully by the succulent pineapple pieces. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience and the quality of the dishes. I would 1000% return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking mouthwatering LA-Mexican cuisine!

We came with 7p reservation, but were not seated until 740p. we had reservations for 2 but there were 3 of us The hostess assured us the wait would be around 10/15 mins and did her best to accommodate, however we sat at the bar after an opening. The outside is very unassuming, however the ambiance is very warm and quaint with modest decor. Sade played as we dined and the bartender who served us was very cool and nice, he suggested the tuna tostada,10/10! the cream was amazing. We also tried the fish, al pastor and beef tacos, hands down some of the best ive had. The grilled sea bream was cooked to perfection and had a nice flavor. Love the traditional Mexican mixed with a hint of Indian flavors. we had a beer and a shot of mezcal which was a good starter, I later had the A-tini which was strong but had great taste! Make sure you have the bluefin tostada! What an unexpected blend of flavors that explode in in your mouth. This restaurant showed up so quickly that it still has the vibes of the Japanese restaurant that came before it. I love this because it keeps some of the charm of its pop-up days. Also a restaurant in LA with a free parking lot??? there's definitely seating outside if you wanna bring your pup. And don't miss the well curated cocktails, or the wine less that includes some real gems from Valle de Guadalupe. read more

Dined at A Ti yesterday for an early dinner with my husband, and I almost hate to share this (for selfish reasons), but this might just be L.A.'s best-kept secret for Mexican food. We had the tuna tostada, al pastor tacos, sea bream, and crispy duck mole--every dish was packed with elevated, complex flavors that transported us straight to a high-end spot in Mexico City. The service was great. The ambiance of the place was dim lit and pretty. 1.Favorite on the menu was the tuna tostada. 2.Then it was duck mole. 3.Scallops were refreshing with mint and cucumbers. 4.The lamb was beautiful too but I do wish they served is this dish last because it was so heavy. 5. Chicharrón was good but I would not order this again. If you have a drink it would pair nicely like a bar snack. Overall great experience. Would come back again read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful space, wonderful hospitality, incredible food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was excellent and personable, they met our needs, provided great suggestions, and helped us to navigate allergies/restrictions in our party effortlessly (shout out to the chef who cooks all the chips in the day in the fryers first before any gluten enters it later on in service). The tuna tostada was insane. The tacos are crazy delicious. The steak is incredible. The pescado was exceptional. The duck mole?! My gah just go to this place already. Best cheffy Mexican in town. Way better than places like Miraté where the food is mid or Damian where it's insanely expensive. read more

With LA's abundance of great Mexican street food and family-style restaurants, it unfortunately doesn't have much demand for upscale Mexican. But if you love the deep flavours of Mexican food handled deftly by a great chef A Tí is your new joint. It's fun. It's casual. Prices aren't crazy. The drinks are excellent but the dishes coming out of the kitchen are incredible. Duck mole, fish taco, sweet potato taco, al pastor, scallop agua chile, tuna tostada are up there with the best Mexican in any city. If you like great Mexican chefs like Enrique Olvera (Cosme, Damien) - you need to hit A Tí before the whole world finds out about it. read more

I was fortunate to get tickets to their special dinner with Biite - a prix fixe meal featuring fresh seafood. A great new space tucked away in a strip mall along Sunset. I sat by myself at the bar and the bartender was very attentive, refilling my glass frequently and all my food came out promptly. Since they have a full bar they make a solid paloma! I didn't get much plum flavor from it but really appreciated the saltiness. The first course was a pair of tostada. The salmon was delicious and creamy but the scallop was definitely the star. Up next was a pair of tacos. The mole was complex and the sweet potato was nicely balanced. Wrapped up with a blue corn tortilla choco taco. I wish it was mad with slightly better ingredients. But the presentation was impressive and it was a nice end to a great meal. I'm excited to come back and bring friends. read more

A Ti in Echo Park was a standout meal from start to finish. Every dish burst with flavor -- bright, citrusy, and layered with just the right kick from green chili, cilantro, and lime. The cooking here blends Asian and Mexican influences in a way that feels both creative and natural. We started with the scallop crudo, tuna tostada, and ceviche -- all fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented. The guacamole had great lime flavor, though the chips were on the thicker side. The tacos are where this place really shines. The fish taco might be the best I've had -- perfectly grilled cod with toppings that tie everything together. The king oyster tacos were rich and cheesy in the best possible way. Even the branzino, a dish I usually skip, won me over -- seasoned just right and cooked beautifully. Also -- decadent desserts and refreshing margaritas, both hit the mark. Unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by the unapologetically "mean girl" hostess, who was unnecessarily rude and confrontational from the moment we arrived. There was no provocation. NO reason for her to take her frustrations out on customers who made reservations and were there to celebrate. She was abrupt, dismissive and had an attitude that immediately killed the vibe of the place. We felt talked down to and treated with no respect -- which made it hard to enjoy anything that followed. Disappointed in myself I haven't been here sooner. We saw some great reviews online and have been hitting our regular spots although so so happy we came by. There is extreme care and passion in the food and the cocktails. Remarkable recipes, incredible care to ensure correct texture and flavor integration in the food. A Tí is a vacation for your mouth. There is great attention to detail from the texture of the tortillas, the moistness of the duck and the spice subtle but influential. But the great irony of Mexican food is a cheap little mom and pop place would probably still be better. If you're a foody and see cooking as almost an art form this is a good spot. read more

These are a few photos i got a chance to take of the food before my son and I ate it. I'm telling you these plates literally last 2 - 3 minutes before they're gone. I can't get over how amazing the Tostada is. You won't find these flavors anywhere. This is amazing Mexican food. Flavors have levels and depth. So amazing. We had Al pastor taco, mushroom taco, arracherra. The tacos both had incredible flavor. The oyster mushroom taco was the best mushroom taco I've ever had. Arracherra was tender and flavorful, we asked for a side of cream and it was delicious. Had the vision for desert- wow. I've never had a chocolate flavor profile like that. 10/10!! The whole meal!! We will definitely be back to try more of the menu! Service was fantastic, great recs. We walked in randomly, we didn't have a reservation, and it was super busy, they were fully booked! But they still managed to get us 2 spots at the bar. Despite being so busy, we still had excellent service! The hostess/waitress was very sweet! Now sitting at the bar, the bartender was very friendly! We started with the Caesar salad and I have to say it's the best Caesar salad I've ever eaten! It tastes so fresh and the greens were nice and crispy, the dressing was so delicious. We got the margarita and the Paloma and both were perfect. It's such good quality, made so well, they don't try to overcomplicate it or pump it full of sugar but the taste is excellent top notch. I personally like the margarita more it's so refreshing. We also got the fish tacos and the pastor tacos and wow we couldn't even decide which one we liked more. They were equally delicious. They were both such good tacos made perfectly but with an extra ingredient that just elevated the flavors in a unique way. The decor of the place was so elegant, romantic, and just all so visually pleasing, not crazy or overdecorated. A Ti has quickly become one of my favorite spots in LA. I've been here four times now, and every visit has been amazing. The vibe is very welcoming and they are always playing great music--perfect for any occasion. The food is incredible. The tostada is one of my favorites, I could probably eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The mole is rich and delicious, and the tomato salad is surprisingly refreshing--honestly, everything I've tried here has been fantastic. I also love the drinks! But my go-to is a cold Modelo with a shot of mezcal. So simple, but it just hits the spot. Chef Drew and the staff are awesome too. He's always around to check in on guests, and you can tell he really cares about the experience. He even put together a special curated menu for my fiancé's birthday recently, and it was a really nice touch. If you're in the area, I can't recommend A Ti enough. Great food, great drinks, great people. You really can't go wrong. read more

We started with the scallop aguachile and let me tell you, I don't even like scallops, but I was intrigued... and WOW. Best. Freaking. Dish. Ever. Coming in hot at number two? I don't believe in leaving negative or 1 star reviews for small businesses. It's so pretentious and it undermines all the hard work the owners put into this restaurant. I'd love to see this place thrive! Here's my honest review in hopes that the stakeholders will see and make necessary improvements: My wife and I have had A Tí bookmarked for a while and decided to make it our Valentine's dinner last night. The highlights: 1. The staff and service were impeccable. We were immediately seated when we arrived. Everyone was really, genuinely friendly and each of them were very attentive. 2. We ordered both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic agua frescas. They were DELICIOUS! The hint of cinnamon really gave them an unexpected edge. Note: One thing to keep in mind is that they don't have a full bar, the cocktails are batched and don't allow for substitutions. 3. The tuna tostada was incredible! Super flavorful. We loved it. 4. The fried quail was our favorite, hands down. The sauce that accompanied it was great and the pickles...chef's kiss! The low points: 1. The chips for our guacamole were cold and a little stale. Not serving them freshly fried and warm was a miss. 2. Similarly the chicharrones, while flavorful, were served cold and the quality equivalent of bagged pork rinds that you'd find at a grocery store. 3. The fish tacos had little flavor and no texture. 4. The biggest disappointment was the lamb neck birria. Especially given the price point. While the accompanying quesadillas were good (the crispy cheese was a nice touch) and the lamb neck was braised well, it had zero flavor or punch. At all. No salt, no spices, no chilies. Nothing. It gave nothing. The birria itself was watered down and tasted like a light chili oil at best. I would love to come back here at some point and continue to support. I had to come back for their (more casual) lunch menu, and it did NOT disappoint. Best chicharron taco I think I've ever had. Echo park was missing a lunch spot that you don't have to break the bank.. Not only was the food incredible, but the service here is amazing. Everyone is so welcoming, kind, and attentive. They're casual with finesse. Drinks are HITTING too. Fun yet simple cocktails. Did not expect to like the A-tini, but LOVED it. Plum paloma was also super tasty. The most delicious meal I've had in Los Angeles in a long time. I came here with my brother and dad to grab dinner. Starting off with the drinks, the margarita had a unique twist and I quite the fan. The A tini also had a unique twist on a classic, but was thoughtfully created to match the vibes of the menu. The bartender was a beast, the drinks were coming out faster than I've ever seen despite the restaurant filling up by the time we left. Moving on to the food, there were so many dishes that hit the mark and went beyond what I was expecting. The fact that we ordered about 9-10 items and 7 were super memorable means that a restaurant is doing things well. I'll list out some of our favorites. The tuna tostada, scallop crudo, Caesar salad, oyster mushroom taco, duck mole, and branzino were all top tier dishes. Literally 10/10's. The hanger steak, was delightfully cooked and one of the most tender hanger steaks I've had, however it was the slightest bit too vinegary. Still, I would rate this quite highly because of the excellent cook on it. The Al pastor taco and desserts were done well, but not memorable. Like I said, considering that everything else was spectacular Keep up the innovation and the excellent service and this place will do great for years to come. This is how we ended up at Thunderbolt, a buzzy bar in Echo Park, just far enough away that we'd never made our way over. I loved it immediately. Thunderbolt has the friendly, comfortable atmosphere of a neighborhood bar and the hip aesthetic and high-level cocktails of a millennial boozer destination. (Not that young people can't or shouldn't hang out here, but it seems especially geared toward people like us, who drank at Walker Inn a decade ago.) We ended up sitting next to a guy who regularly drives up from Palos Verdes. I guess the place gets pretty busy, but it was ideal on a Sunday night. Happening but not crowded, with just enough space at the bar for us to grab two seats together. The bartender was great, super helpful and welcoming. He also made excellent drinks. Thunderbolt is one of those bars with an encyclopedic illustrated book for a menu. Not a long menu, just a detailed one, with a lot of information available about each drink. We got a Liquid Picnic and a Barcelonnette--just one round to close out the weekend. Both were delicious. The Liquid Picnic was a smooth, savory gin martini made with London dry gin, tomato, citron, vermouth, rosemary, and black pepper. I learned from the book that it used clarified tomato water. (There was also further reading about the clarification process.) The Barcelonnette was a mezcal sour with Suze, passionfruit, and lime, the foam made without egg white through some geeky mixologist process. Thunderbolt is not our neighborhood bar, but we plan to go back when we can to check out the rest of the menu. It's a wonderful place, well worth a jaunt on the freeway.

The drink menu is extensive, and the overall vibe is casual and chill. We were still in our jerseys, which made us feel a bit out of place at first, but there were a few other fans inside. We enjoyed the music, had a great drink, and had a nice time unwinding. Parking sucks in the area (as expected), but if you're nearby, check it out.

Ambiance/Environment: Looove the vibes here. They have a small space, so it can get hot real quick. They'll check IDs at the entrance. There's in n out privileges until a certain time. Music: If you're into house music, then this is the lounge for you. They have different DJs during each set. Drinks: They offer beer, cocktails, and wine. I don't remember the names of the beer, but it did the job lol. The Mango Sticky Rice cocktail was really strong; I enjoyed it!

We received a warm & friendly welcome from Rasheeda (bartender). She was darling, as was our server, Mason. They were both fantastic. We settled into the cozy couches tucked in the corner and ordered several dishes to share: Hummus, Prosciutto Panino, Eggplant Panino, Mediterranean Eggs, Green Shakshuka, & Fries. I think my experience may have been different if the music wasn't being blasted to where you can't have a conversation and the lights they setup aren't blasting me in the face or blinding me from the reflection in the mirror. On another occasion, I may stop by to see if my experience changes as well.

Namely because these are generally pretty straightforward brunch dishes, but they were just so much better here than other places I've had them. I don't know what the secret is for the benedict popover - is it something they put in the benedict sauce? The way the ingredients come together? Whatever it is, it's perfect. For the bacon steak - it cut like butter, and wasn't too salty, sweet, or chewy / thick. So good! The service has also been great here each time I've come, both in a large party (10+ people) and in a small group. The food somehow still comes out when you expect it to and the staff is friendly and helpful. Reservations recommended especially for big groups!

Extra seaweed costs $2. For the price of the bowl it feels a little cheap to charge for seaweed. Seared salmon sonmari: 11/10!! Soooo good my fav thing we got Chili yellowtail: 9/10, delicious but I just didn't love the cilantro Blue crab sonmari: 9/10, pretty basic but delicious! The restaurant during dinner time is low lit and would be nice for a date night or nice dinner with friends. Service was wonderful and food came out quickly. Parking is street parking and a bit of a hassle. We parked in the neighborhood nearby. I was told they take walk ins but reservation is highly recommended. Definitely need to come back and try the other dishes

Some of the staff was great and super friendly but others were a bit standoffish so you couldn't tell their mood. Our main server was great though! Now for the food... The cornbread was divine and just met all of our expectations. The pork and green chili stew was amazing! The tortillas were so chewy and yet a little crispy. The stew was spicy but cheesy with tender pork. It was delicious. The mushroom crusted pork chop was super tender and it was unique. I have never had pork chop like it and it was great. It was oily and definitely regretted not getting a fresh veggie side. We got the mashed potatoes and the green beans. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. It was great. The green beans were salty and wasn't my favorite. THE ALL-STAR! STICKY BREAD PUDDING! I can't even describe it... just make sure to order it. You will not regret it. We went on a pretty hot day over the weekend and it was warm inside. With the open fire in the dining area I suppose it makes it difficult for the restaurant to be cool.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the Agnolotti del Plin. It was sweet and light. I personally would recommend that you share this dish, because the flavor is so unique that I didn't need a lot of bites to feel satisfied. The highlight of the Sausage & Peppers pizza is the crust. It was airy and crunchy and so satisfying. (Next time, I'd order a pizza and keep the extra honey from the focaccia to drizzle on top!!) The hangar steak was a bit of a let down. It tasted a bit "game-y", which was very shocking. I will pass next time. The broccolini was good, but nothing worth raving about. If it were me, id stick with the appetizers, pasta, and pizza!!

It also low-key made me feel like I was dying back in New Orleans when I was sitting on the second floor balcony area overlooking the street. The service here is friendly and attentive as well. There's definitely a great sense of hospitality here. A small group of us came here in a week night so we were able to get seated pretty much right away. Well, at least after a little time that we were able to spend at the bar. I started off with a martini. It was delicious as well. And the bar is really nice. When we got seated, we were seated out on the balcony, which I really enjoyed. It felt like I was really dining on one of those balconies in New Orleans. We ordered couple of skewers - beef kofta and maitake. We also got and a couple starters/sides - the whipped feta, vadouvan cauliflower, and sticky Japanese sweet potato. And for a main, we got the chicken schnitzel. Everything was well presented and full of flavor. I don't think I disliked any of the dishes. Maybe I'm easy to please but seriously everything was really good and well prepared. I wanna go back and try some more mains like the branzino. Just a wonderful dining experience overall. And if you're looking for a nice dinner that won't break the bank and has a great vibe, this is the spot.

The scallops in squid ink melted on the palate, carrying a delicate tart and floral nuance that showcased the chef's understanding of contrast and depth. The Caesar salad, though unassuming in concept, was exceptional in delivery: crisp romaine, freshly shaved Parmesan, a perfectly blended dressing, and impeccably crisp croutons -- transforming a simple dish into something unforgettable. The branzino, not typically a dish I would seek out, was a revelation. I've traversed the globe, savoring culinary delights from Bangkok to Barcelona, but my recent experience at A Tí in Echo Park on February 4th was a gastronomic catastrophe that left me and my visiting family utterly dismayed. Ambiance: Despite securing a reservation, we were unceremoniously directed to the outdoor seating area, which was not only deserted but also exposed to the elements--rain pouring down with no heaters in sight. It felt as though we were being punished for daring to dine there. Service: The staff's indifference was palpable. Our polite request for indoor seating was met with a dismissive shrug, and throughout the evening, we were treated as an inconvenience rather than guests. The lack of basic hospitality was astonishing. Cuisine: The menu promised innovative Mexican dishes, but what arrived at our table was a series of disappointments. The Chips + Guac were bland and uninspired. The Fish Taco, featuring striped bass with shio koji and habanero, was overcooked and lacked any discernible flavor. The Crispy Duck Mole was dry, and the accompanying date mole tasted more like a sugary mishap than a savory sauce. A Tí in Echo Park delivers standout modern Mexican cooking with layers of flavor and a relaxed neighborhood feel. Our dinner there was excellent from start to finish. We started with the jitomate salad of tomatoes and nopales over whipped feta. It was delicious. The salsa brought the dish together, and the cactus cut through the sweetness of the vine-ripened tomatoes in a really satisfying way. The grilled shrimp were perfectly seasoned with a bit of spice and cooked to perfection. For mains, my wife had the fish tacos and an oyster mushroom taco, and she clearly preferred the fish tacos. All the flavors were well balanced, with the toppings and sauces complementing the fish instead of overpowering it. I had the duck mole, and it absolutely stole the show. The mole had real complexity and depth, lingering on the palate, with its sweetness balanced beautifully against the rich, fatty duck. This spot has been on my list forever, and after drooling over their Instagram for months, I finally made the trek--30 whole minutes in LA traffic, which is basically an act of devotion. I managed to snag a last-minute reservation, but when I arrived, the vibe was...awkward. The hostess seemed particularly surprised to see me, even though I had reserved a table. The first table they gave me was right by the open, drafty door (um, no thanks), but they moved me without issue. Now, onto the important stuff--the food and drinks. Started with the Plum Paloma, which at first sip was just mezcal punch to the face. Once I got past that initial hit, the grapefruit started to shine through, and it ended up being a solid drink. Then came the Crispy Duck Mole... and WOW. The duck was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the mole was so rich and thick I shamelessly scooped up every last drop with my spoon. No regrets. A Tí is an absolute gem in Echo Park, easily one of the best meals we've had in L.A.! We went all in and ordered nearly the whole menu, and every single dish was incredible. The ceviche was bright and refreshing, the Caesar salad had the perfect punch, and the buttermilk fried quail was crispy, juicy perfection. The tacos were unreal,both the crispy beef taco and fish taco were standouts. The crispy duck mole was rich and complex, and the grilled sea bream was delicate, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every dish was thoughtful, layered, and beautifully presented. To top it all off, Chef Drew (formerly of Bestia!) came by to say hello,and he was so kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the food. This restaurant is a beautiful blend of fusion Mexican cuisine, and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. You can really tell the chef puts so much heart into each plate--every bite was a surprise in the best way. The service was just as amazing. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of the whole time. What made the experience even more special is that they allowed us to bring our own decorations to set up the table for a surprise birthday for my girlfriend. I had an incredible dining experience at A Ti in LA! Everything I tried was bursting with flavor, but the standout for me was definitely the duck with mole--rich, complex, and absolutely delicious. The tuna tostada was fresh and well-balanced, and the al pastor tacos had that perfect mix of smoky, sweet, and savory. I finally had the opportunity to visit A Tí Restaurant, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious. My friends and I ordered a few dishes to share, and everything exceeded our expectations. Everything was delicious, but my favorite has to be the mole duck! One of the reasons I recommended Mirate is because it's known for being a highly rated modern Mexican restaurant with exceptional service and knowledgeable staff, especially when it comes to tequila and mezcal. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at all. Before ordering food, I asked our server about the differences between the mezcals and which flight they would recommend. The only explanation I received was, "It's just different families, so I'd go with the higher quality one." There was no real information or guidance, and it was obvious they didn't know much about the mezcal selection. I ended up choosing one based solely on what sounded best. We were then informed that the menu had recently changed and is now mostly tapas. That's perfectly fine, but I noticed several items from my previous visit were still available, so I figured I'd order a few favorites along with some new dishes. Most of the food was actually great. The ribeye tacos, tostada, and buñuelitos were all delicious. However, the carne asada was extremely disappointing. We only sent back one plate because I felt bad sending both, and that's when a manager (the gentleman with the man bun) came over. He explained that they have a new chef from Oaxaca, but what confused me was that they were serving Argentinian-style steaks as their carne asada. Instead of a traditional Mexican-style cut, it was thin, flat, and honestly looked like a breakfast steak. For a restaurant that prides itself on being a modern Mexican restaurant, serving Argentinian steak as carne asada just didn't make sense to me. To his credit, he removed both carne asada plates from our bill, which I genuinely appreciated. After that, he asked if there was anything else we'd like. I personally said no, but someone else at the table asked for one more ribeye taco. The manager replied, "You know what? I'll bring you one, and I'll bring them another too." Naturally, I assumed he was offering the extra taco as a goodwill gesture since I hadn't ordered anything else. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the bill and realized both tacos had been added to our tab. I wasn't going to argue over the price of a taco, but it was frustrating because I never asked for it. In fact, I ended up giving that taco away to my friends. If it wasn't complimentary, it shouldn't have been presented as if it were. Another thing worth mentioning is that while the carne asada portion has clearly gotten much smaller, the price remains exactly the same, which doesn't seem justified. Overall, my biggest disappointment is that there was no indication when making the reservation that this was essentially an experimental period with a new chef introducing major menu changes. Had I known beforehand, I never would have recommended Mirate for our dinner, and to be completely honest, I probably wouldn't have made a reservation at all. I only get two days off each month, so this was supposed to be something I could really enjoy. Instead, it honestly felt like a waste of my time and money. I'm sorry to say that while there were a few good moments, they faded very quickly. Unfortunately, the negative parts are what have stayed with me, and that's what I'll remember most about the experience. It's disappointing because I know how great Mirate can be since I experienced it just a few weeks ago. I truly hope they can regain the quality of food, service, and overall experience that made me recommend it in the first place . The place was also nice and clean (though a little too dark if, like me, you get there early and have to kill time before the rest of your party arrives, so you try to read, but can't), and the staff was helpful and friendly. So, what do you need to be prepared for? Well, they usually serve stuff family style. Because of this, things don't come out at all once. In our case, we got the pita a good 10-15 minutes before the chicken. But while this would normally be a blemish, it wasn't because not only did my friends tell me this would happen, but so did our server. Which is why I'll go again, especially since I now know what to expect. One last note: the place is in a strip mall, and while I had no problem finding a spot, my friends had to go elsewhere.
