I have been a fan of Patrick for years and was sad when he sold his old bakery to go back to France a couple of years ago . Now I am so delighted and excited that he and his partner Kaity have opened a new location which I got to sample yesterday. I gorged on many treats but my favorite are the Canneles and the quiche. My kids had the crème brûlée and lemon tart. Everything was world class and I felt I was in Europe. I have tried many other bakeries but none compare to the mastery , passion and taste that Patrick infuses in all his creations. The new location is also much nicer with ample room to sit and enjoy all the treats and even have a cup of coffee. And there cakes are beautiful balanced sweetness!!! Also there ham and cheese croissant and their signature Canale are super massively toothsome!!! And wow their Dark hot Chocolate with their sweet Italian cream like marsh mellow is amazingly balanced and scrumptious!!! Came here for the first time and absolutely loved it! Got a ham and Swiss sandwich with some cornichon, a croissant and a pain au chocolat and they were all delicious. Adore is a lovely patisserie in Redondo Beach. I have been there several times with friends and we really like it. The service is friendly and the food has always been good but I had the croque monsieur today and it was not good so I feel I should write a review about that menu selection because I think they can fix the problem or not offer it. The bread was too thick & very hard and the cheese sauce on top was messy. It was hard eat, not a typical croque monsieur at all. I guess I could have sent it back but I always feel bad about doing that so I tried to eat as much of it as I could manage since I was very hungry, and then I gave up on it. When we discovered that Patrick had returned and already opened this new shop named Adore, we and our local friends were all beyond thrilled!! For years Desserts By Patrick was the best and only place we'd go to get treats that were exceptionally special, and guilt-free (because Patrick used only quality ingredients which you could absolutely taste the difference). While waiting for my car to be washed and waxed at GreenStreet Auto Spa and Detail Center between Hermosa and Redondo Beach, I stopped by Adore Dessert Cafe. It recently opened and I thought I would try one of their French Chef's Sandwich. It was very tasty and I highly recommend it. The French bread is homemade and made from craft flour from the Cairnspring Mill in Washington State. The mill sources the flour from local farmers there and uses stone milling to produce the flour. No preservatives or additives are used. The next time I am here I think I will try out some of the desserts. It's nice having a good French cafe in the neighborhood. read more

Just had late afternoon lunch/dinner at Adore~ and it's certainly well named. I had the potato gratin which was decadent, silky smooth & sumptuous. Absolutely delicious!!! I ordered a decaf latte which I'm usually disappointed with, but in this case it was equally delicious. They use European coffee beans which gave it a more robust flavor, even though it was decaf. I capped my meal with a chocolate eclair. I thought it was amazing, probably because of the rarely found Tahitian vanilla bean infused throughout the custard. What a treat!! Finally, it's OPEN ! We were waiting for months to visit this French cafe. Oh my goodness...everything looks so good and tastes incredible. You can tell, the owners put their hearts in every bite. Everything is made from scratch and using the finest ingredients. Also our coffee was unique and served with Tahitian vanilla beans infused whipped-cream.
