I order my drinks without any sugar. Despite that, I don't get any intense bitterness & I still enjoy the floral notes of the tea. There was no line and no wait when we arrived so we decided to try this place out. Price is cheaper than usual boba place now. A medium boba milk tea is around $3.70 or so for 1 drink. Wanted to understand what's the hype... But the quality wasn't there... almost tasted like quickly drinks except slightly better. The boba was stuck together at the bottom of the drink and it was hard to suck up the boba. The boba was not soft and chewy either... it was a bit hard which was a big no no. My husband got the passion fruit green tea with 50% sugar and it was still super sweet. This place makes super sweet drinks if you plan on ordering non milk tea drinks, please order sugar level less than 50%. I don't see myself coming back again. Egregious wait for boba. I went to try this new popular place spontaneously when I passed by and saw a very short line out the door. There were two groups ahead of me before the line enters inside and the total wait time to order was only 10-15 min if you can gauge from that (wait with caution because temps are getting hot). The line to order is deceiving though. When you get inside, you'll find there is a second room which is basically the waiting area and it is packed. You're maxed at 5 drinks per person and even then people are probably ordering at least 2-3. I waited over an hour for my one drink at 5:30pm and regretted not taking a snack with me while waiting. Drink was just alright- the amount of milkiness is similar to certain chain boba stores, not strong tea flavor. The only thing about this spot is the cheaper price. read more

Went on a Saturday evening at 8pm because I've always seen a line when I pass it. Still had to wait a good like 20 minutes altogether from putting in my order to getting it. There's a kiosk to order from and one cashier who takes orders. So the line will alternate between the two. The menu is pretty extensive as well and everything is cheap. No exaggeration, I don't think anything is over $6 for a large too. I paid $5 legit for my large boba milk tea. I got the basic milk tea with boba. The tea itself is okay. I can taste the tea, not the strongest flavor, but it's milk tea. The boba itself is pretty average/meh not going to lie. I got regular boba and it's smaller than what I'm used to. It's pretty sweet though too so I should have gotten like 50% on the tea instead of 70%. What I will say is that there is a lot of boba in this cup. Pretty good. Not the best milk tea I've ever had, but for $5 it's good. I think if you're going more for taste - around the corner is wushiland which is better. read more

I would not encourage anyone to come here unless they are willing to wait at least 10+ minutes because for whatever reason, despite the basic drinks and various workers, they tend to get through orders slowly and they also mass-call orders rather than one by one. This can definitely affect the ambiance of the place because aside from its cute wall decor, the place itself is quite barren and the amount of people waiting sometimes can feel frustrating already when you walk in. I typically get a Large Green Milk Tea with Boba and Coffee Jelly ($4.50). The milk tea has good tea flavor and the toppings are also usually cooked well. I would suggest lowering the sweetness levels since the milk tea can get pretty sweet. I appreciate how they don't charge extra for toppings. The shop is usually crowded and busy with people standing waiting for their drinks. The bobaristas are typically slammed with orders and work hard to make all the drinks. Pro Tip: If you order for pickup using Fantuan, there are usually coupons that can bump down the price drastically (I've gotten a large drink for $2 before). Also by ordering through Fantuan, you don't have to wait at the shop for your drink because sometimes it's crowded and takes a while for the drinks to be made. read more

PARKING: -There's a small parking lot in the back and some street parking. It's right in front of San Gabriel Square so I'm sure some people park in that lot as well. You guys can definitely run this place more efficiently. My 2 drinks took 40 minutes. Check my receipt and check your cameras. Only 2 people making the drinks while there were more workers in the back. None of the additional workers in the back came out to help. On top of that, you have to be proactive in paying attention to the TV screen that displayed the order numbers that were completed and be attentive to the counter handing out drinks. Our drinks were decent, but good for the price point - which, at the end, made it worthwhile. On top of that, the various FREE toppings are something unheard of in boba places these days. Other than that, the drinks itself are fairly mid and lacking in much flavor. The lines are RIDICULOUS, probably owing to the fact that this is the cheapest boba anywhere in the SGV. The ordering is only done through one kiosk, so the wait for that plus your drink could mean a 15 min long wait. On top of that, there's not a lot of space for the busyness of everything, so it can be packed waiting inside for your drink. If I was on a tight budget and desperately craved boba, I'd come here.
