Loving this place! Very consistent! Great food! Many options! Great service from everyone that works here! Very clean and new inside! I'm establishing myself as a regular, here!

Food was amazing!!!!!! Very flavorful, plate came with rice, salad, hummus, pita bread and the protein. Great service as well. They have Mediterranean, Mexican and American. Will return, definitely recommend to try out.

Ordered the Chilaquites-1 star The worse Maxican food I've ever had Tortilla chips taste old n blend. The green sauce on the top I turned sour badly ruin my appetite. Beans is blend as well. I couldn't finish this dish at all. Green sauce turned bad bubbling sour! I told the front girl, asking if I can switch it to red sauce. The other guy then walked out of kitchen brought me the red sauce instead, but it's still equally bad. Do not serve anything when it's not fresh no more!

The service was great, the cashier was really helpful and nice, I ordered the kabob plate with an orange juice. Everything was delicious, especially the orange juice. It was one of the best freshly squeezed orange juice I've ever tasted!!! Give that cashier with glasses a raise :)

Buy one get one deal here ! Had a chubby burger and burrito! I paid for drink and coffee I believe I payed less than 20 ! Great deal TBH ! Service was cool

The specials are great. I love the Kebobs but like most places with kebobs they are kinda pricey.

I was out with my daughter, taking care of her DMV stuff for her new car I just bought her, and we were in the neighborhood, so I had her google a spot for us to have breakfast. Z's pulled up and we were only 1 mile away and decided to give it a go. Since it was highly rated (4.5 stars) I expected it to be really good. It wasn't... The eggs were okay, the bacon wasn't as crispy as I had hoped for, and the potatoes were cold. My daughters bagel was okay, she said.. Overall we spent close to $40 and I wasn't amused. The music and all the pictures on the wall was pretty cool, but that's about it. Overall it was a 3 star establishment for me, because the young lady taking our order, was nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

Came in on a Sunday for brunch. Pretty busy but we got our food quickly. Fairly priced menu with tons of options. Clean restaurant with patio seating. Love their coffee/tea bar. You would expect this restaurant to be a sit down place but one must order/pay at counter. Also we couldn't find napkins and had to continuously ask staff for them. The staff was friendly though. My child enjoyed her turkey sandwich. My wife loved her sunrise combo and I devoured my brunch combo. Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be coming back even if we have to bring our own napkins.

    It was so delicious!

My loved ones brought me food from here today and let me tell you it was so good!! I'm not 100% sure how it's on the menu but it was chicken, rice, hummus, salad & pita bread. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!

I love their Sizzling Kabobz! Sometimes they serve it with an authentic pita bread which I love. But sometimes it's served with those store bought pita breads that are more pillowy and bread like, I don't prefer. #207 Raffi's Super Kabob Combo- perfect for indecisive people! You get both beef and chicken. Chicken breast was not dry at all and was tender and juicy. Beef was just the same. Both were flavorful. Rice is always seasoned well. #201 Ground Beef Lule Kabob- seasoned well and tender. I did not like their Chilaquiles breakfast plate. Didn't seem coherent. Tortilla chips were just topped with sauce and drizzled with sour cream, added chopped onions and cilantro. Seemed dry even with sauce topped all over. Egg on top was over done when I asked for over easy. Stick to their non breakfast items. You can order them all day long even during breakfast hours.

Is the full menu available during hours of operation?

    Yes, everything all day!

Are there any vegan options available?

I'm sure there is. A lot of Armenian food is vegan by nature.

Is this the same Z's that's located in Vernon?

No Vernon location. This Z's is the same place that once was on Monterey Pass Road in the industrial section of Monterey Park...They moved to DTLA...then four months ago or and they moved back to the SGV...to the old Rods location in Montebellow.…

Are you going to have cookies? I've heard about Z's famous cookies.

I went back and returned everything. I didn't see a hair in my other sandwich but couldn't even eat it without thinking what could be in each bite. The same girl was there when I returned and a young guy. I spoke with the guy and he gave me a refund right away and apologized. The girl who had made my food was maybe 5 feet away and couldn't even turn around to look at me or apologize. Very disappointing since the owner seemed like a nice guy who probably works extremely hard to build and maintain his business, only to have it ruined by some employee who couldn't even care enough to take 5 sec to put on a hair net. Shame on her.

Their coffee is just as impressive--they roast their own beans, make their own café de olla syrup, and you can even buy their coffee beans to enjoy at home. Every cup tastes fresh, rich, and authentic. I also love the atmosphere. The artwork throughout the shop is beautiful and gives the space so much personality. Seeing the server and an Asian staff coming out from kitchen confirmed that the cooking wasn't fully American taste bud. But that is the reason why it hit me very well. Honestly, whether you have American or fusion or Asian taste bud, the taste quality is better than some average American restaurants. I tried the butter squash soup, lamp chop, and bow tie pasta with chicken. I was enjoying my soup and lamp chop a lot. The pasta was pleasant to me, but it wasn't exceptionally great compared to the lamp chop. My fiancé loved the pasta though, saying that the sauce wasn't overwhelming. It is not a cheap place to come for, but it is because the food and drinks (good white wine) have quality. The wait for the entrees was a little long, even though it wasn't that busy. I believe it was the chef spending time to make sure each dish was done well, unlike the busy restaurant where chefs only follow the restaurant's recipes to make it quick and easy. Lastly, the ambience was okay, but it was more an older fine dining/family owned style. It had some nostalgic vibe if you'd take it that way. Keep it up. I really hope it will be there forever long.

Made another and was not even remotely disappointed. This was one of my recent favorite meals by far and dunno if I was just starving or what cause it was all hits and no misses. Our server was very sweet and friendly, as were most of the staff here. The inside is cozy, casual, and comfortable with lots of wood and plants. We ordered SO much food, mainly to try more things, and also because my eyes are perpetually bigger than my stomach. That's fine though! Even the leftovers were delicious as heck. - Cornbread--absolutely smothered in butter and honey, crispy on the outside and very moist on the inside with great jalapeño flavor. Saw some lady on social media say this was gross and dry... surely that was rage bait? - Bread--got both the jam and butter which were both amazing as it came with two types of warm bread that was perfectly crusty and soft. However, given the amount of butter overall in this meal, it wouldn't be a loss to skip. - Peaches--came with farmer's cheese, which is like a creamy, drier version of cottage cheese, that paired really well with the sweet juicy peaches, basil, and fresh lemon dressing. Summer on a plate. - Carolina gold rice--never had this dish before, it's like shrimp n grits met porridge, rich snd hearty with plenty of shrimp flavor from the shrimp butter. - Mushroom-crusted pork chop--easily usurped my previous favorite pork chop from Chez Maggy in Denver, and is now my favorite pork chop :) - Ribeye with bone marrow--also one of the best steaks from a restaurant we've had. My husband's gotten to the point where he doesn't like ordering steaks (usually I'm the offender) because they're usually not very good even from "steakhouses", but this ribeye was great. Perfect crust, perfect med-rare cook, lots of flavor, tender and delicious. Bonus was the bone marrow I saved half of for my spoiled dog. - Sticky date pudding--I think I confused this with a sticky toffee pudding although it's very similar and equally tasty as heck. Don't skip this! Typically I have to be borderline blackmailed into eating all my leftovers but there was no arm-twisting for Dunsmoor's. Street parking unless you valet. There's a line by opening for walk-ins, and apparently a separate line for reservations on the other side of the door.

The eggs were soft, pillowy and cooked to PERFECTION. Not overdone and not super runny either. The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful. The sauce they used was sweet and savory, the pickled onions balanced it all out with the perfect acidity. I wish I was around this area a lot more, I'll definitely be coming back!

Chilaquiles are my favorite breakfast food and these did not disappoint! I got the chilaquiles with…read moregreen sauce and tomato sauce and let me tell you, that tomato sauce was INSANE. The green sauce has a significant tang to it so the two really balanced each other out. Next time I'll definitely add a protein as well, but this bowl of chilaquiles was delicious! I also had a Jamaica lemonade which was great, it had a nice kick/tang to it. They make everything in house - the chips, their meats, everything. They have a solid, limited menu, and I can't wait to try other items. It's a small restaurant but they make you feel like you're home. The gentlemen at Tenampal are so welcoming, they give so much attention to each customer, they really take care of you. They constantly check in on you to make sure you're happy without being overbearing. As far as service goes, this experience was within the top 3 experiences I've had at a restaurant in my entire life just in terms of how welcoming they were. I was very lucky to grab a seat here on Sunday - I've heard usually it's pretty busy to get in here but since I went during a World Cup game, I was able to be seated right away. The only thing - parking was pretty difficult, ngl. You gotta luck out finding street parking or go into the residential areas to park. But it's worth it!
