With the DePasquale family owning Mare, Trattoria Il Panino, Quattro, and Bricco you would think there would be a phone call/some sort of alternate option offered. We ate here on Saturday night. The tables were packed in like sardines and we were treated like cattle. We were told we had to order apps and entrees at the same time to move things along. Then we were told that they ran out of dessert, ALL desserts! How can a restaurant run out of desserts at 7:30? Thewaitress said that is what "management told them to say". We were given our check less than an hour after arrival. It was obvious all they wanted to do was turn the table over. Overall a very bad experience. One word...fabulous. I rarely write reviews for restaurants but this was my favorite Boston Italian spot yet (and I've been to many). The interior and outdoor seating was beautiful and spacious. Our waiter Jovanni was fantastic! We weren't able to get a heater till the end of our dinner (which Jovanni got for us from a different restaurant) and they treated us to some limoncello and dessert to make up for it (which was totally unnecessary because they gave me a pashmina to wear since I was a bit chilly). I have never experienced such attentive customer service like this. The Bellini and aperol spritz were delicious and the chicken parm and pasta vongole was 5 star. Our family had the pleasure of eating here while visiting Boston.... we felt like rockstars. I called for a reservation for 4 and 20 minutes later we were there and sitting at the best table in the restaurant. When we asked about wine we were offered samples and ended up with a great bottle of red. Our daughter is dairy free and they worked with us to create the perfect dish for her...she loved it!! My mother in law and I ordered the bolognese and My wife had the risotto, it was so authentic and we loved every bite. For dessert, grapefruit and lemon sorbet for my daughter and an amazing tiramisu served in a mason jar for us. Did I mention the blood orangecello and limoncello. I was disappointed with Aqua Pazza after all the rave reviews I read. My group and I ordered everything from the Sfizi menu and the burratina was the only thing that really stood out to us. Also the ravioli and the bolognese entree came out al dente, so if you prefer your pasta to be softer, I would be sure to let them know. All six of us tried a bite of the ravioli and we agreed it was 2 out of 5 stars compared to other ravioli we've had in the North End. Bolognese was 3 stars. My friend got the Pomodoro and really enjoyed that, and said it was 4 stars. Overall service was very good and they accommodated our party quickly and efficiently. 3 star experience overall and would not come back because I think for the money, there are far better dining options in the North End. read more

The concierge gave us several recommendations for restaurants in the North End. This one was his recommendation if we were in the mood for seafood Italian. The Fritto Misto and Bruschetta Trio appetizers were simply amazing. We also enjoyed the Aqua Pazza (whole fish). Though we were tempted to carryout cannolis from a nearby famous pastry shop for dessert, we ordered the key lime tart. The Earl Gray whipped cream and key lime curd was the perfect finish to the meal. The service was friendly and helpful. read more

We are italian and we were looking for a nice seafood restaurant where fish is done "the italian way". Aqua pazza is definitely one of the best restaurants we have been in in boston. We had an amazing pasta with vongole and a whole snapper, and we couldn't had been happier with our choice. Our waiter also suggested to try a special burrata appetizer with vegetables on the sides that was delicious. Also, a special mention goes to Giovanni, our waiter, for how friendly and attentive he was with us (and as we could see also with the other nearby tables). It was so nice to be back at Aqua Pazza last night. I've been a frequent patron since it opened but haven't made the trip since Covid. The crudo, oysters, and seafood risotto were as tasty as I remember. And the patio seating is a great addition that I hope sticks around after Covid. Incredible pesto was served with bread early in the meal, and it was so delicious that I asked if I could buy some. My waiter/the chef kindly brought out a whole container and two baguettes for the 4 of us, free of charge. I really love this place and I'm so glad to see it doing well. read more

I called and Patrick answered the phone, I told him about the situation and he was very accommodating and invited us to come in...Saw Frank DePasquale as we arrived outside and congratulated him on the reopening. First experience at AP was a solid 4 star. Great server, updated atmosphere, and quaint location. The crab carbonara was seasoned in an unexpected way that I unfortunately wasn't a huge fan of. Went back last night and am now willing to give a 5 star rating. Service was, again, excellent. Our apps stole the show: burrata that had the most delicious tomato jam, tuna crudo, and oysters. First time here. Amazing! The Salmon Crudo was delicious; make sure to dip in the salt around the edges of the plate. We had the Snapper baked in egg white and salt and then filleted at the table. A show unto itself. Of course it too was perfectly cooked and well worth the time it takes to prepare (ask for this on your way in). The staff were friendly and even a little sassy. This place is a MUST go-to restaurant. I was there a month or so ago, so this review is a bit overdue. We made reservations at a restaurant next door (Limoncello maybe? I honestly don't remember) but showed up early so stopped here to have some appetizers. The service and food was amazing, and when our table next door was ready, we left and promised to be back for dessert. Huge mistake to leave at all - the service next door was terrible, so we left before even ordering drinks and came back to Aqua Pazza. Seriously, the service and food could not be more phenomenal. We sat at the bar, and Philippe was our server - sit at the bar if he is there!! He will take great care of you! We also spoke to the owner a bit...they were all so friendly. And the food, THE FOOD....I died. So good. We had the Burratina, Arancini, Zucchinata and Caprese to start. They were all delicious but the zucchinata was my personal favorite. Everything was packed with flavor, and the attention to detail was top notch. I am gluten intolerant, and most of their menu could be made gluten free. They were incredibly accommodating. For my entree, I had the bolognese. Phenomenal. I practically licked the plate clean. My friend had the orata I think, and forgot what my other friend ordered, but including pictures of both. This restaurant has restored my faith in the North End. Started with amazing Gavi wine and a fantastic Spuma alla Pesca (sparkling rosè with white peach foam). Began the meal with amazingly curated oysters. We originally only ordered 9 but got 6 more bc we were so happy with the quality. We also had the zucchini trio with zucchini flowers that were spectacular. Our meals were the pomodoro, which tasted exactly like my grandmothers, a risotto with delicate scallops and shrimp, and a vongole with Manila clams so tender. Dinner was amazing!!! We had the crispy smelt that were perfect!! They were not fishy at all! There were 4 of us and each of use ordered Oysters and they gave us each our in its own icy tray so we did not have worry about taking one that we did nit order.
