I will give Aqui big stars for speed of service. This is a order and wait place, very trendy. Parking structure next to Aqui is super convenient, good downtown location. So we grabbed a menu, simple enough, interesting selections. You order at the counter and in a few minutes your pager lights up because your meal is ready, waiting on a tray for you to pick up. M went ahead to "find" a table, you might just get lucky like we did with a view of the street outside. We shared a southwest caesar salad and M went with a shrimp bowl and I the pork entree, add a soda and were at $46. There is a good variety of land and seafoods, salads, and main course dinners or samplers. The menu has great descriptions on the entree and what I got was exactly that. It seemed as though all of the ingredients were waiting to get served not cooked to order. The meal was ok, sounded good and it was but certainly not to my expectations. The salad was literally flavorless. M's shrimp was okay but small and good with a bite of other stuff. My pork was tasty and perfectly tender, black beans good but the raw greens... no thanks. This place IS VERY LOUD, you know when that option comes up on the Yelp check-in, there wasn't a button choice for how noisy it is. Well doing the math two stars granted for speed of service and one star for originality of concept and menu, neither of which I consumed. Aqui is one of our go-to restaurants, we eat at either the Campbell or Cupertino locations at least once a month. Food: Tonight I had the "small plates" Shrimp Quesadillas -- plate comes with 2 quesadillas and beans w/salsa, cotija cheese and tortilla strips. Plenty of food, didn't seem small but costs less than $10. They have a really good salsa bar where you can get several types of salsa and I put some of the yummy chipotle dressing on the black beans. Also I got the Monthly Special Swirl flavor, Blueberry Guava which was very good -- I had the "small" size which still packed a punch. Service: You order at the counter, the lady was very friendly and efficient. Ambiance: Can get crowded but I ate early. Highly recommend for delicious fresh take on Cal-mex food. read more

I came here on a caturday evening around 6pm. It was hot all day so I really wanted their frozen drinks while I was here on vacation ! The restaurant was pretty busy with people sitting both indoors and outdoors. I was able to order quickly at the bar and I was served my drinks right away. I ordered the flight which came with a raspberry, watermelon, and I think pineapple? They don't joke around when they advertise the "industrial strength" here! Okay this is just for their swirls cause the food doesn't fancy me at all. Been here several times just to grab a swirl or two before heading to an event in the area. Aquis has been favorite of mine for years! Consistently good swirls and amazing food. If you're wanting something delicious, healthy and fresh, then this is the place for you. I don't like leaving bad reviews at all but in this case I have to. I ordered the fried cauliflower supreme bowl yesterday and it was both unappetizing and I believe it gave me food poisoning. The rice/beans/cauliflower were decent for the price but the guacamole on top was the worst guac I've ever had to the point I almost spit it out (it tasted strongly floral, like perfume for some reason). The food also was cold in many parts and didn't seem to be reheated adequately. I was only able to finish half of my meal before giving up because I couldn't get the guac off the rest of the food. Then this morning I woke up with awful nausea and other food poisoning symptoms. I really can't recommend this place at all since the food was so bad and probably made me sick. read more

I honestly think it's the swirls that keep Aquis afloat! Their food is ok, it's never been my fave. So why did I come here? I was meeting family for lunch and my sister chose this spot, for the swirl! Let me preface by saying I don't drink, I didn't like it. Since it's family I obliged. We arrived around 1:30 on a Saturday and it was moderately busy so we grabbed a table in case a rush came in. I haven't been here for years so I didn't know if things had changed on the menu, hopefully for the better. What we ordered: Avocado Dip-Seasoned with mango habanero salsa, lime and cilantro. Served with salsa fresca and chips. Adobo Chicken- Adobo spiced chicken breast, avocado, cilantro rice, pinto beans, romaine, salsa fresca, chipotle corn salsa, Monterey Jack, sour cream and cotija cheese. Grilled Shrimp Enchiladas - Sustainable shrimp, rice and Monterey Jack rolled in corn tortillas. Served with tomato saffron sauce, chickpea mash, organic kale, red grape-jicama salsa, dried cranberries and chayote fries. The food was ok. My sister didn't like the grapes on her enchiladas, she may have missed this ingredient on the menu but it also seems like an odd combination. I don't like my guacamole wet so maybe the avocado dip isn't for me. The salsa surrounding it just didn't do it for me. It was good but not fantastic. Aquis I don't know when I'll return. I have been to the Aqui in Campbell multiple times and I live 2 hours away! It's such a nice place for a big group or just for a casual drink. The margaritas are industrial strength so much stronger than it seems! This past visit, I tried the watermelon one and loved it! They don't taste particularly strong but it definitely sneaks up on you! One thing I love about Aqui is the options in sizes as you can get a mini or regular, and they even have flights to try multiple flavors. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a quick buzz and for a group of friends! Excited to come back! read more

This is my go to place for a casual drink, chips and guac, or quick bite to eat. Everything from their generous wine pours and strong drinks to their vegetarian friendly and generally wide range of menu options ...to their their guac (avocado dip) and unlimited salsa bar just makes me happy. my first time in this restaurant and was a nice experience. You need to order and pay with the cashier and them self served the drinks and pick up your food when is ready. Te ambience is nice, confortable and clean, with a lot of seatings and also they have outside seating. Extensive menu with a lot of nice Cal-Mex Food, also they have a bar. (I'm not sure if it's a full bar) The food was made very fast and looks fresh and tasty. The employees were very nice and good spirit, the lady who pick up the trays and dirty dishes was very nice and attentive. We had chips and salsa fresca, Cuban pork and salmon taco. This is in hope to get this message to the owner, The outdoor seating uses hollow aluminum chairs on rough concrete. The noise coming from these chairs is ridiculously loud. I think you could replace with steel or plastic versions that could reduce ear piercing sounds coming from these chairs being dragged on rough concrete. read more

Top 5 favorite restaurant. Everytime I come my meal is whatever the special is. Tonight was Yucatán pork with vegetables, kale, black beans. The sampler is amazing with beans, hummus, and salsa/guacamole and the chips are delicious and refillable. My wife usually gets the crisp chicken supreme bowl and she rarely deviates as she really likes it. The flourless chocolate cake with espresso sauce is back and it is delicious. Save a little space from the main dishes for this delicious dessert. Don't forget to check out the salsa bar also. The firecracker sauce is just the right amount of flavor and hot adding a nice touch to everything they serve. Lastly, you probably heard about the swirls and they are worth the trip just for those alone. Beware, they are industrial strength so make sure you have a designated driver or time to hang out in the area to sober up. One is more than enough and packs what feels like 2-3 drinks into the delicious frozen swirly glass. This is a staple restaurant for us and I have yet to have a special that I didn't really enjoy. Make a trip to one of their many locations. The willow glen and downtown cambell locations offer a lot of nearby options to walk and enjoy the neighborhood. read more

The perfect, fun atmosphere to come with friends or family. Their famous swirl margaritas will get the job done, which is why they only allow 2 per person. The food is colorful and fresh! I absolutely loved it. The meat was so tender and everything was flavorful. My family loved it too. Personal recommendation: My uncle got the tri-tip with rice which was so tender and delicious. The food came out very quickly and I really enjoyed the CRISP TILAPIA SUPREME BOWL ($12.59; Panko and tortilla crusted tilapia, avocado, cilantro rice, pinto beans, romaine, salsa fresca, chipotle corn salsa, Monterey Jack, sour cream and cotija cheese). The flavors all blended together nicely in a way that was reminiscent of a Chipotle bowl but healthier and fresher. Came here with friends and I must say this place has changed their food for the better. Normally we just come here for a swirl drink because the food was just basic. But this time I must say it was delicious. For starters ended up getting the avocado dip and it could use a bit of heat. But it's a good snack to munch on while waiting for the entree. Didn't get to take a picture of the entree as I was hungry. But I got the supreme mahi and it was good. Just too much beans. I could do without the beans. Everyone else in the group enjoyed their meals too. Luckily we were able to find a table outside which was nice as the weather was great. Inside was a little chaotic and very difficult to find a spot for a party of 8. But we had a good time and we will be back for more swirls. read more

While the food is good and there are many good vegetarian options, the long line to order, only to then find there is no seating for a group of 4 (all at about 5:30pm on a Saturday), and then to make the order take-out and wait for a very long time (with no seats in sight) is very annoying. I think this restaurant should stop taking dine-in orders when there are no longer any tables -- it seems like the considerate thing to do. read more

We came for book club on a Tuesday night. It was a party of four and we had no trouble getting a table. I got the aquis sampler, definitely recommend. I also got the strawberry margarita, only can order it at the bar. You can also order half swirls instead of a whole one. I got the lime chicken salad. So delicious! For this location specifically you can either dine in or there are seatings outside. Please note that it may be very windy and can get pretty cold in the late afternoon. Their service is more self serve. You can order and pay directly and they will give you a little buzzer when your food is ready. It's a nice place to socialize. The food was pretty great. And if you also have pets that you would like to bring along, note that you can only have them outside on the patio and not indoors. I recommend trying this place . read more

No unfortunately they do not. However prices are very reasonable.

How is parking?

It can be tough on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Other than that you should be able to find parking without stress. Monday-Thursday there is ample street parking. Most people usually park in the garage nearby.

Does it get pretty busy on Sunday, Monday, Wed or Thursdays at 6 pm? Planning a casual post-work meetup that could have 30 ppl showing up and would like to plan if there will be enough room/tables for us to sit together. Thank you.

We were there tonight, on a Monday around 5 to 6pm and it wasn't busy at all. Closer to 6pm more people start trickling in, but. no where near as busy as later in the week. Thursdays it tends to get busier, especially if it's nice weather.

The sauce was tasty, tomatoey and spicy, and it was chock full of mussels, squid, sooo many shrimp, a whole filet of fried fish, and other goodies - unfortunately most of the seafood was pretty dry/overcooked. We've also tried the steak nachos before too, and while they are good, I probably wouldn't get them again because it's chips overload after already eating the complimentary chips. I've also tried the caesar salad with chicken before, and it's solid but you're probably not coming to a mexican spot to eat a caesar salad. The service is pretty quick too which is nice.

You could tell that they were regulars. The space was intimate with around 10-15 tables seating about 4 people each. Maya's Cafe menu has a wide assortment of dishes to choose from: serving breakfast dishes like chilaquiles, lunch items such as burritos, or soups and full on dinner plates with rice, beans, and choice of protein. We had terrific Crispy Ribs, Salmon, Prime Rib, Beef Wellington, and Clam Chowder. There are many other choices and selections of foods which is all based on your personal preference. You definitely won't be disappointed. The Prime Rib and Clam Chowder were top notch and exquisite. We also tried their seafood station which included oysters, shrimp, fish, and crab. Those were good. Ja Jiang mian - these noodles were cooked to the same texture as the Dan Dan noodles and I didn't enjoy the texture. The flavor was a little too sweet and the texture of the sauce was a little grainy. 3/5 After finishing these 4 dishes we were still a little hungry so we ordered the Q-bao. We also noticed the banana crepe was no longer sold out, so we ordered that too. When the waiter came out with the order ticket she apologized and told us there would be a little bit of a wait for both of these as they were fried. The total wait time was 20 minutes after ordering. The restaurant was not busy, so wait times might be longer if they are busy. 5. Q-bao - these were the best thing we ordered. The bun was warm and fluffy and the filling went well with them. The inside was moist and juicy and the sear on the bottom was perfect. 5/5 6. Banana crepe w/ whipped cream - the batter used for the crepe was the same texture as what you would expect the green onion pancake to have. It was chewy and flaky, but a little off putting as I was almost expecting a savory flavor from my dessert. What I…read morereally like about this place is that one may customize the menu depending on dietary concerns (vegan, lactose-free, shellfish allergens etc.), but however one customizes, the quality is fort-rate. Our party consisted of family and friends who had differing dietary concerns, but we were each able to eat delicious ramen without any worries. We started out with some appetizers - the Karaage Chicken and the Umami cucumber. The chicken had a nice crunch, yet the meat was juicy and tender! Nice! I appreciate the matcha salt that came with the chicken, as it added a little extra flavor to the chicken. And the umami cucumbers were joyfully crisp, with a slightly sweet soy sauce base, the sesame seeds and the bonito flakes on top adding to the umami. I ordered the Sukiyaki Beef Ramen - something unique, and it is not listed on the colorful poster on the door, nor was it listed on the menu card on the table. It caught my eye, though, when I ordered using the QR code. I felt like this was something on a secret menu or something . . . I was in heaven! The sukiyaki beef was tender and flavorful with that sukiyaki sweetness, and it perfectly balanced the saltiness of the broth. Oh, darn! I forgot to take a photo of the bowl of ramen!! Oops! Well, as I mentioned at the start of this review, I was delightfully full at the end, especially since I just could not leave perfectly delicious broth in the bowl. Good enough to drink as a soup! I must say, however, that when this place first opened, I was not impressed. And when I ate here two years ago, I was equally unimpressed. Today, however, I am blown away! Whatever they changed really is for the better. They have found their footing and Hinodeya Ramen Bar has matured into a wonderful place for ramen.

I got the spinach noodles with it, but I wonder if there's actually spinach in it because it didn't really taste any different from the normal noodles! The noodles could be a tad bit firmer too. We also got the aburi chashu as an appetizer, and it was solid! It was basically just the pork chashu with sesame seeds and sriracha. A little pricey, but overall solid. Service is quick because you just order online and pay first, and everything comes out within 5-10 mins. I like how they open pretty late too, and have a decent amount of seating for a ramen place!

They used to be on Winchester Blvd,…read moreand at first I thought they were closing but they just relocated to Hamilton Ave. It feels like a family owned spot, and most of the staff are warm and welcoming. My absolute favorite dish is the grilled shrimp and BBQ pork with rice sheet wraps, it's outstanding. Their appetizers are good, and the egg rolls are especially delicious. The beef soup is also solid and comforting. You can tell this place has a loyal following many of the customers seem to be regulars, which really adds to the cozy, family style atmosphere. Fresh rolls and spring rolls were both amazing (2 for $7.25/ 4 for $11.25/ 8 for $19.25) Fresh rolls came with peanut and fish dipping sauce. A little sad that a lot of the fresh roll was bean sprouts and not noodles. Feels a little cheap. Spring rolls containing veggies inside was fantastic. Piping hot right out of the fryer. I could not get enough of it. Definitely worth the try for first-time visitors. I tried the ginger aromatic chicken this time $16.75, which came with rice and a very very small bowl of veggies that I think lack sauce. The Chicken on the other side was very flavorful, slightly dry. Lastly, the dessert was a surprisingly good finish to the meal. Always great to dine here.
