My favorite out of these dishes would be the uni pasta. I'm not sure what the name is because I don't see it on this menu but it's the only pasta with uni, can't miss it. The carbonara was very rich and flavorful with the pork cheek and egg yolk. I recommend this if you like rich and creamy dishes. The uni pasta had beautiful chunks of uni and it mixed very well with the pasta. The uni tasted fresh and it was a beautiful golden hue. The pasta was al dente and had a very nice bite to it. The mushroom risotto was very underwhelming. The rice was overcooked and it was mushy. I did not eat much of that after my first bite. The server was very nice and also brought out something special for my sister and brother in law for their recent engagement. As a fellow LA foodie I love Italian food. I have been to plenty of different ones in both Hawaii and LA. My expectations were high before trying this restaurant. It exceeded my expectations.... One of the best Italian restaurants I have been too b. You can tell everything is made fresh to perfection. We ordered the calamari to be honest I would pass and save room for the mains because they were AMAZING. You MUST order the shrimp pasta it was to die for and as for pizzas I recommend the meat lovers. I have been to plenty of Italian restaurants and this restaurant is in my top three. Our waitress was also very kind and helpful when ordering. As for drinks the Arancino was delicious tart and sweet at the same time. I recommend this drink if you love both citrus and sweet. AMAZING FOOD & SERVICE! We had been looking forward to our anniversary dinner reservation for over a month, and when we checked in and were seated, we were so giddy! Our waitress was so attentive, sweet, and friendly, and apologetic as all get out, so you all need to cut your staff some slack! I'm kidding, but the service was fluid and perfect, really, she was nothing short of perfect. We were seated outdoors, which was very nice for ambience and temperature at 8:00 pm. One of our meals we ordered, the Cacio de Pepe, was so fun to watch prepared at our table! We were just really able to feel like we had more space and air to breathe, which made it all the better for us. The food was unbelievable. The Bolognese was SO fresh & filling, I had to take some back to our room at the resort! My husband ordered the Cacio de Pepe, which we both wanted, so we kind of shared his dish some--ALSO super fresh & super cheesey! We were obsessed with our food and had a hard time eating slowly to savor the evening moreso, but we managed. The charcuterie was a very nice preface to our meal, everything on there was quality and served BEAUTIFULLY. I wanted more than I could reasonably eat, it was all so delicious! This was recommended me to me by one of my coworkers who knows my obsession with uni pasta. I had the Arancino cocktail which was amazing! As we were all actually there for the uni pasta we decided to really just go for the tasting menu. Normally they do not make any substitutions but our server asked the chef and I was able to get the prosciutto swapped out for more smoked salmon. The mozzarella risotto croquette was nice with the marinara sauce and took away from the light dryness of the breading. Second course was the perfectly cooked al dente pasta with the sea urchin that I had been dreaming of all trip long. The tagliata di manzo con rucola was a perfectly cooked ribeye grilled to my liking. The arugula and parm made it even better somehow. Now, generally speaking I am not a fan of sorbets but their mango sorbet awakened my senses and I really enjoyed every little drop of it in my bowl to the end. Overall, I cannot recommend Arancino di Mare enough. Please make sure you have reservations otherwise you will get turned away like everyone we saw trying to go in. read more

Celebrating and early birthday my friend made reservations for a small quiet dinner celebration. ATMOSPHERE Located at the Waikiki Marriott Hotel this small corner restaurant seems to attract slot of tourists that are vacationing here on the island. Street parking along with hotel parking as well. The hotel validates your parking up to 3 hours! They offer indoor and outdoor seating. SERVICE Love that you're able to make reservations in advance. Our wait time was minimum about five minutes. We had an amazing host. I believe her name was Aki. Very Friendly! We shared with her that it was her first time at the restaurant, and she took the time to share a few of the popular dishes. Wait time for our food was very fast. FOOD There was a wide range of dishes to choose from so it was very hard to select. They do offer a complementary bread along with balsamic vinegar on the side. I ordered the. Pappardelle All Bolognese! The portion was a good size. It was good tasting, and very filling. OVERALL this was a great venue. Enjoyed the ambience and was provided great service. read more

Having eaten at restaurants on the streets of Rome, i can at least say that I have some background on Italian cuisine. But this isn't Rome, it's Waikiki. I dined with 2 of my cousins, visiting from Atlanta, Ga., last night and the first thing I noticed was the traffic of people seated inside, outside, arriving, and leaving. There were a lot of people. It was extremely busy. We had arrived quite early for our reservation and were offered a seat, but not in a desirable location in the restaurant. We opted to wait. Once we were seated our server introduced themselves apologizing for having kept us waiting. I assured them they were fine and acknowledged that the restaurant was extremely busy and I also noticed that our server was "working their butt off." This scale of restaurant should not create such a work environment where the servers are running around frantically, stressed out and having to apologize to their guests. As a patron we feel their frustration, discomfort, and anxiety and this is past on to us, and is definitely part of the overall experience. These servers are doing the best they possibly can and in my opinion, the restaurant as a whole needs to assist in what they can control which is the balance of patron to server. Don't cram in as many customers as you can. You're setting your staff up to fail. The presentation of the dish was typical of what may be seen on the food channel at one of those featured high end restaurants. This doesn't impress me, but I'm sure it impresses others that may not have ever had this type of experience. I'm more practical. I look at quantity and quality. I ordered the sea bass and was disappointed. Yes, it had the appearance of a well groomed poodle, but the quantity, as we say in Hawaii, was "manini," and the quality was 3 stars. This place was incredible busy but definitely worth the wait. We started off with very flavorful, warm focaccia bread with dipping sauce. Tried the calamari as an appetizer- recommend! Now the food. The lobster bisque- not too fishy but super creamy and delicious!!! The Uni pasta is out of this world. Creamy, with just a hint of sweetness, past was cooked to perfection. The ambience was really nice. We were seated next to a Greek statue and the tiki torches were a lovely touch. The service was really good as well. I found it helpful that there were stars on the menu that the chef liked and recommended. However, I was disappointed that the pasta was not made from scratch. Terrible service and felt racially discriminated by both the kitchen staff and waiter. Been wanting to eat here for a while and finally got a reservation, only to be completely disappointed for the service. My boyfriend and I sat down and ordered at least 20 minutes before another couple that sat next to our table. However we were served second compared to them. We finally got our food after 50+ minutes from ordering and the couple next to us were already finished eating and paying. Waiter Nick, had an unacceptable excuse of both our tables being #304 and having the same exact same order which lead to the mix up. This completely left a bitter taste to the overly salted pasta served to us. Overall a bad experience and will not be coming back. read more

Happy 2022! First Yelp review for 2022 and I figured I do it on a place that I love and actually just ate on New Year's Day. How have I not written a review for this place?! Probably cause I come here so often lol. Arancino di Mare is located in the Waikiki Beach Marriot. They also have a location on Beachwalk and one at Kahala hotel which is the more fancier one. What I love about Arancino is their pasta is not overly heavy and it's more "Japanese style." Meaning it's on the lighter side. Pasta is always cooked perfectly and they are pretty consistent with their food here. My favorites are the carbonara, spaghetti with tobiko and calamari, and their tagliatelle pasta with shrimp in tomato cream sauce. Honestly most of their dishes are good here including their pizza. I'm just not a huge pizza person. I also like to get the mixed green salad and lobster bisque for apps. And don't forget to save room for their delicious tiramisu! Service is always attentive and great here. They recognize my family since we come here so often lol but we always feel welcomed here. This place is popular so I recommend reservations for sure! This little Italian place is quite hard to get into on the r weekends and you'll need to make reservations well in advance if you want an outside table. Our table started with the Arancini croquettes which were very, very good. I ordered the number 14, it's the only dish with house made pasta. Menu read that it was shrimp in a spicy garlic cream sauce. It wasn't spicy and it was fairly dry, not really much sauce to speak of and their Al dente was a little too underdone for me. I wish I had ordered the funghi risotto, it's finished in a cheese wheel table side. Maybe next time. Kiddos can order alfredo, spaghetti or a cheese pizza with Nutella ears. Service was efficient and attentive! You'll get a complimentary basket bread and olive oil and it's very yummy. We celebrated a special birthday dinner at Arancino di Mare at the Waikiki Marriott. We had just finished the marathon that day and decided to celebrate the achievement and the birthday at this fine restaurant. We'd heard great reviews. Arrived promptly for our reservation, but had to wait for a table to open. It seems that there were many customers who had the same idea as us. It took a while and I was tempted to potentially leave, but we were finally seated. Once we sat down, it was wonderful. From our appetizers to the dessert, we were amazed at the flavors and enjoyed our entire time The Arancini Siciliani was a highlight and the risotto was to die for. Service was pretty bad, had to flag down our waiter to get just one water refill. Pizza crust was good and crispy, but the Burrata was dry. They did give a hefty portion of prosciutto, and it needed the side of pesto. The margarita pizza came with literally 4 microscopic basil leaves. Bolognese was solid, and the carbonara was good. Overall it was fine, especially for Italian food in Hawaii, but don't go in expecting GOOD Italian food. It's decent but not overwhelming in anyway. The deck is small, as most of the decks are, so don't try to bring in your jacked up truck!! Ahem, my husband. Just a normal size car, haha. They also validate for FOUR hours, that's super generous! Food & Service: Amazing. Our favorites of the night: The lasagne. It comes in a hot, sizzling, cast iron skillet! Whoa, Nelly! A hearty portion and leaves you in a food coma. The pizza carbonara was SO GOOD. It was a special, so I'm not sure if it's always on the menu, but holy moly. The guanciale was perfectly crispy and indulgent, and that tkg poached egg was perfection. The table was fighting for the last slice. My sister got the uni pasta, as always, and the quality and taste is definitely consistent. Service was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Arancino di Mare has a very large seating area outside and is perfect for enjoying a relaxing open-air dinner in Waikiki. The UNI PASTAAAA! The best uni pasta I've had thus far. It was not overwhelming or fatty. Perfectly cooked pasta with the perfect uni creamy sauce and bits! We added shrimp to ours and it was the perfect combo! (Pricey: $50 - but when is uni not?). Also got the Tagliatelle Con Prosciutto E Funghi +shrimp as well, and this is probably my fav Alfredo sauce pasta from anywhere, even in Cali! This plate was about $38-40. The meat pizza we got was a little on the overcooked side on the dough, but the pasta was so good - we didn't care. Mind you, this was all to-go AND 30 mins before closing time. If it's good to-go.....I can't imagine how bomb it'll be fresh and served hot dining in. The host that took the call was so nice and helpful! She didn't rush or was short on the call even though it was late (9:30PM). Don't sleep on the uni pasta. Don't forget to add the shrimp! read more
