They give you a tube top to wear so that your shoulders are exposed so they can massage you. It was so relaxing. Afterwards they blow dry your hair for you and air drop you photos & videos they took for you during the appt. Nice touch! My hair was so shiny!! After seeing headspas pop up on TikTok, i wanted to try and treat myself to a session on my day off. It was my first time going to a head spa so i wasn't sure what to expect but it was such a luxurious experience. Started the session with the scalp analysis and she gave me information on what types of products to look for for my type of scalp/hair. Once we started, they let us to a different room to change our top into one of the tube tops they offered and got ready for our massage. There were so many parts to the massage that i didn't know which part was my favorite! There was a clear attention to detail in the experience and they always checked in on me for preferred massage strength and water temperature too. The waterfall ring was such an experience that it's so hard to explain but i could see myself getting addicted to these. I felt myself feeling so calm and sleepy and almost fell asleep during the 90 min session. Overall loved my experience and would definitely come back! This is a very relaxing and pampering service that is also affordable. I actually came all the way from Sherman Oaks because they had the best reviews of other headspas in So Cal. My scalp was so clean and my hair felt amazing. I have highlight in my hair and they were actually a little bit lighter after the procedure, but I didn't even care. The consultation was interesting and informative. I honestly never really gave much thought to my scalp. I only wash my hair twice a week as it takes a while to get oily, but not the same with my scalp. This was very educating. The tech I had was very sweet, but her touch was too light and tentative for my preference. I adore a good head massage and that part of the service was lacking for me. They are located on a busy street, and entrance is a little hidden, which is easy to miss. Small parking lot is available. Their lobby is small, and a friend receptionist greeted me when I walked in. She analyzed my scalp and recommended me to use shampoo with natural ingredients. She led me to a room and asked me to change into a gown and took me to a treatment room. The room was dark, and I heard the sound of running water, which was relaxing. My therapist gave me a brief head massage, scalp purification, a warm eye mask, face wash/massage, face mask, and a hair treatment. My therapist also gently massaged my shoulder and neck. Her pressure is a bit weak, but not a deal breaker. The process probably lasted for 65 minutes, and she took me back to the changing room to change out. She then blow dried my hair. I left the spa in exactly 90 minutes. This is my first experience of a head spa. I enjoyed it. read more

So my social media reels have been filled with head spa videos for months now and when I first looked into some places they were booked months out, I figured I'll let the craze die down and maybe someday these places will have same day appointments available... well the day has come! I love that quite a few places have booking available online and it makes it so easy to book when you're ready including some very last minute appointments. My bestie was in charge of booking our appointments while I was at a work event so I can't speak on that process but she said it was really quick and she paid the deposit online. Our appointment was for 6pm on a Friday, we found the place fairly quickly thanks to Google maps. Walking up we were just a tad concerned because it looks a little sketchy, but once inside it's so cute! The receptionist greeted us, did a quick hair scan to determine what type of hair/scalp/skin we have and they use products based on what you need. She also gave advice on what things we should or should not eat. I have oily skin and apparently I should not be consuming coffee, tea, anything spicy, no garlic no onion etc etc (I got distracted from the other things she was posting off as I was trying to figure out what the heck I'm supposed to replace my coffee and tea with!) Then we changed into these comfy tube top dresses (top only, they do a shoulder massage) and were lead back into the room where they do the wash and massage. You get onto the cot and are covered with a warm fuzzy blanket, get heated slippers and pillows are adjusted for the perfect comfort level. They start off by putting on a warming eye mask (which they remove just a few minutes in to do the face massage) and it felt soooo good on my tired eyes, I actually have these at home and I keep them on for 30-45 minutes. Then they do a face and shoulder upper arm massage, head massage throughout the entire experience and of course wash your hair and use products designed for your skin type. It was so relaxing I had to fight off falling asleep but I totally did. I can't remember the girls names that did our sessions but they were both so sweet and really knew how to do their jobs well. The entire time I was thinking "this is amazing, if I was a millionaire I'd do this every day!" When it's done they have you change back into your clothes and blow dry your hair. There's no styling or anything but they take their time and make sure you're happy. My hair felt so soft and clean I felt like a million bucks walking out. I will definitely be coming back and bringing my mom next time! read more

We selected this place based on the positive reviews we found on Yelp and TikTok. However, upon arrival, the staff seemed confused about what service we had booked, but they eventually seated us for a scalp analysis. During the analysis, they noticed dead skin and asked if I wanted my scalp exfoliated. When my boyfriend inquired whether this was included in our 90-minute massage, Sophie looked puzzled and asked, "90 minutes?" This was frustrating, as any business should know the details of their customers' appointments. After changing for the treatment, I wanted to confirm that they knew we had booked the $138 Kaori head and scalp treatment with a 10% discount. Again, the staff appeared confused and asked when I made the appointment. Though frustrated, I decided to proceed to answer her and continue with the service. The treatment was mediocre at best. The water had a bad, sewage-like smell, and I even experienced an allergic reaction to the oil and face cream. (I understand this might just be a personal issue.) At the end of the session, they took us to a room to dry our hair and offered us fresh water and a bag of cookies.(or so I thought....)However, when I grabbed the cookie bag, I found it was half-eaten by a previous client, indicating a lack of attention to hygiene. Drinking from someone else's cup of water was also off-putting. Overall, I felt that the staff(Sophie was the one that serviced me) did not care about the customer experience. I was so excited to come here ! I have been experiencing really bad dandruff for the last 6 months and saw great reviews on this spot. Was so easy to book even got a discount! When I went in everyone was so friendly and helpful. Right away they used a camera to look at my scalp and told me how I can fix my problem areas. Then Lin took me to get changed and to head to my treatment! The treatment was a whole experience ! It started with head massage, facial, shoulder and chest rub. Warm little sock on my feet, warm belly warmer and eye mask. Was so relaxing! Lin told me all the steps she was going to do. She was so sweet and after she took me to blow dry my hair! Wow! This place was amazing. I had no idea what to expect but was beyond pleasantly surprised and impressed! Everyone at Aroma was super kind and accommodating. First they do a scalp analysis, then you're taken to a room to change into a robe. Then you're taken into a large room with a series of beds. From there you go through a series of different scalp treatments, a facial, and a massage all over your head, neck, and shoulders. It's soooo relaxing! Finally after about an hour and 15 minutes you're taken to get your hair dried and a final call analysis. I really loved this and definitely would come back! read more
