Fresh Salmon Yubu, Fresh Ginger Tuna Yubu, Lemon Pepper Salmon Yubu
    Alyssa N.

No line, quick service, and not too expensive! Each piece is around ~$5.50 without tax. I highly recommend the Fresh Salmon and Ginger Tuna! They provide soy sauce and wasabi, which goes great with the salmon since it's not seasoned. My only critique is I wish they put more filling on top for the price.

I've been here several times, and the yubus are always juicy and flavorful. The tofu skin has the perfect amount of sweetness and balances well with the toppings and rice. I love how each bite is a different combination of flavors which keeps things interesting. They often sell out of options. Often times when I visit, they're not fully stocked. This one time I went later on in the day and more than half of the options weren't available. There is limited seating here and parking here. This spot is located in a small strip mall.

this for sure hits the spot. i ordered the salmon, tuna ginger and the tako wasabi. I love the tako wasabi one the best bec it delivered the best flavor. It is raw octopus but its so good. I had three and its a good amount and to feel full. will def be back to try other toppings. so worth the hype

Really really unique flavor profiles. I got 3 and it filled me up! My favorites I tried was the salmon, the bulgogi, and the creamy roe. I also tried the lemon pepper which was too strong of a flavor for me super duper salty. If they add less lemon pepper on top it would taste better. I can't wait to try the garlic butter crab next time! Loved how fresh everything tasted and it left me feeling full and great!

Finally visited Atoyubu in Buena Park after hearing good things about it. I really liked the concept--a healthy yubu (tofu pocket) base topped with your choice of ingredients. Having protein options ranging from fish to meat made it easy to try a good mix of flavors. The food tasted great, looked very neat, and offered excellent value. At around $5 per piece, it is remarkably affordable considering current food prices everywhere else. The portions are generous, too--two pieces are plenty for a full meal, and three will easily satisfy a bigger appetite. The packaging is clean and thoughtful, making it a nice option to pick up as a gift for someone. The parking lot is a bit small, so I'll likely opt for takeout next time, but overall it was a great experience.

I have been hearing about this place for some time now and I'm glad to finally have visited! The place is definitely worth the hype! Came in on a Saturday afternoon. The place was pretty busy with dine in and take out orders. Our order of 4 yubus came out pretty fast! As basic as it is, my fave was the fresh salmon yubu! Perfect balance of flavor and the amount of fish and rice! The other yubus were good as well. I wanna try other flavors next time but they were very filling that i could not get more

What a treat. While the inside isn't anything to talk about, it was at least comfortable. You're able to watch your order being made. I wasn't a big fan of tofu before, but I am now! Just remember when it says spicy, it is!! The spicy tuna and grilled spicy pork were delicious but next time I would ask them to tone down the spice a bit. The garlic butter crab was delicious even though it was imitation, but for me the fluffy egg didn't have much taste. Parking was tight and very small area. The employees were welcoming and quick with your order. I will be back to try the other numerous choices because the prices are excellent!!

Located in a small plaza. Keep in mind that there isnt alot of parking and this placeis very popular! I was excited to try this place out and it didn't disappoint. Got most of their selections. My fav was the seared salom one for sure and least favorite was Bulgogi just because it tasted like normal Bulgogi that I would prefer not in yubuchobap. Overall a pretty solid place, as it is popular not sure if you could find seating. So expect to eat this on the go!

Wow!!! This is a hidden gem! I happen to find this spot on Instagram and happen to be in the area this week. When you go in to order, there is a kiosk for you to order on, however, the workers are all super helpful and gave recommendations. I ended up getting the spicy tuna which had a strong kick to it! I also tried the Beef Bulgogi, Garlic Butter Crab, and Ginger Tuna. These were all amazing but my two favorites were spicy tuna and beef bulgogi. The flavor of the beef being torched was so yummy. I can't wait to come back and try more!

Solid food! Thought some were way too sweet because of the sauces/mayo paired with the semi-sweet tofu skin. I honestly just rather have fresh sushi. There are loooong lines on the weekend so just be aware! I had to park across the street at the Target bc how full the lot was. This feels like more of a takeout place than a sit down restaurant.

I found Atoyubu while browsing Yelp and decided to check it out. I probably wouldn't have discovered it on my own because it's tucked away in a very small plaza, but the good news is there's parking right out front. I went on a Friday right when they opened at 4 p.m. When I stepped inside my first thought... did this place just open? There are tables and chairs, but not much else. No photos or decor on the walls. There were two men behind the counter and I wasn't greeted, so I walked up to the digital menu to place my order. I also noticed the all-gender restroom, which I liked as an option, though it wasn't very clean during my visit. For food, I ordered several of the yubu rice balls. I tried the lemon pepper salmon, chipotle salmon, sweet barbecue gyro, and another one with crab. The sushi rice was cooked great and the fish tasted fresh. My son was a really big fan of the sweet barbecue gyro and liked it so much that he ordered another one. The barbecue sauce was very sweet, maybe a little too sweet. As for the little wrap around the rice, I couldn't quite figure out what it was. It didn't really add or take anything away. For three of them the price was just shy of $20, which felt a little on the pricey side. Overall, the yubu was a new experience for me and I really enjoyed it. I'd come back.

A little expensive in my opinion but I'd pay anything for "sushi". I do think they could have put more fish than rice. It felt like the rice almost filled up the tofu skin and the fish was just placed on top. Here's my review of the 4 pieces I ordered through DoorDash. Spicy Tuna 9/10: Personally really enjoyed this one. The buldak sauce was spicy good. Definitely not for anyone who can't handle spice. Fresh Salmon 8/10: Very fresh. Wish they filled it up more. It felt like rice with a side of salmon. Fresh Ginger Tuna 6/10: Average, nothing too special but it's like a loyal guy friend who will never be your boyfriend. Garlic Butter Crab 7/10: So good, but it's imitation crab so you can literally stop by the grocery market and make this yourself for a fraction of the price but if you're lazy like I am then it's a 8/10.

...today, after my chiropractor appointment, I was asked again to get more Korean Dubai cookies for my friend, Chloe. As I'm walking to the door, I pass another place where two guys are sitting close to the window and I notice they are eating stuffed inari sushi. I backup to see the sign above. ATOYUBU!!! I go in to check it out... and the lady starts talking to me in Korean, then quickly switches to English asking if it's my first time. People are casually sitting at small tables, so I discreetly glance to see what they're eating... then, decide to try it out... My choices: - Eel - Korean BBQ - Garlic Crab Hard to pick up with your hand, so I use a fork to eat from the top. Flip it over to eat the soy bean curd and I leave half of the rice. The eel was by far my favorite and the garlic crab was my least. Happy I got to try something new today. They are all about $5-$6 each...

Can these be make gluten free?

Without the rice? You can maybe try asking for the tofu skin, and only fish? But I'm not sure if the sauces with the fish are gluten free.

Is there anything else inside aside from the protein like rice or crab meat?

The Yubu does contain white rice and there are two options on the menu that have crab meat.

Is the tofu wrap gluten free?

This is my question too. If the tofu wraps are seasoned w soy sauce, it will contain wheat.

Do you have a tofu based/vegetarian option?

Incorrect. The rice contains minor bits of pork.

    Is there vegan options?

Well, you could order the imitation crab as it is not real meat....

After some waiting, they start calling out orders and somehow the couple behind me got to the front and took the bag. I thought I had heard the employee say #62, but in all that chaos and loudness, I couldnt confidently say or hear it. Eventually, order #63 came up, but was never claimed for a good 20 minutes. I asked the cashier if they can check on my order #62, and they checked the kitchen. Turns out my hunch was correct, and that the couple behind me took my bag. I didnt make a big deal out of it, and the employee said they will remake my order. After waiting for probably 30 minutes total, they were all they way up to calling orders in the 80s. When they gave me my order #62, the employee gave me 2 free gift cards for the waiting and hassle. Im very glad and appreciative of them for handling it very professionally. This was my first time at this particular In-N-Out, but I've been to about twenty others and loved every one of them. The Buena Park location was as good as the rest. There was a long line at the drive-thru, but parking was easy and the actual restaurant wasn't that busy. We ordered and had our food within fifteen minutes, probably less time than it would've taken us to get through the drive-thru line. (I have found this to be true at almost every location.) Service was great, as always. In fact, my three-year-old dropped his cheeseburger on the floor after a few bites, and we got it replaced on the house, just like that. The kids also got little In-N-Out sticker activity books to play with, which kept them entertained for minutes at a time. I got my usual order, a double double with grilled onions and a heaping side of whole yellow peppers from the condiment stand. Pure deliciousness. My boys got a grilled cheese and a plain cheeseburger, and they both ate well. We got some fries, too, and while I'm not a particular fan of In-N-Out fries, I ate my fair share of them. We hit the bathrooms on our way out, as we had a long drive ahead of us, and I noticed the bathroom situation was less ample than the typical In-N-Out, maybe because this one wasn't right off the freeway (I do think the restaurant was smaller overall, but this was the only way that mattered for us). Just a couple of single bathrooms instead of the usual stalls, and we did have to wait to use them. In any case, this was an excellent, easy dinner, the perfect way to end a long day in Buena Park. I look forward to my next In-N-Out meal, wherever it might be.

I am super glad that my partner and I finally decided to make the drive there. Between the two of us, we shared four Shrimp Burgers, an order of Shake It Fries, and an order of Shake It Nuggets. For the fries and nuggets, we tried both the cheese and onion seasoning packets. The portion sizes turned out to be bigger than I expected. The standout of the meal was undoubtedly the Shrimp Burger. Each burger was packed with flavor, and the shrimp patty had an especially satisfying, tender texture. The fries and nuggets were also enjoyable, particularly because the seasoning packets allowed us to customize the flavor. Both the cheese and onion seasonings were good, but the onion seasoning was my clear favorite, offering a more savory and aromatic flavor. The fries were nicely crisp with a satisfying crunch, while the nuggets were juicy and tender on the inside. For a fast-food restaurant, the service was impressively quick. The portion left something to be desired, but it tasted alright. *** Overall think of this place as having an In-N-Out vibe with a red and yellow color scheme but McDonald's-quality burgers. 3.5-star on Bulgogi and Shrimp Burgers but the buns were a bit soggy and sad. It's a small gesture, but it immediately made us feel welcomed. We decided to go with one of the combo meals, which came with boneless crispy fried chicken, cheese tteokbokki, and fried potstickers. We also added an order of corn cheese because... how could we not? The chicken lived up to the hype. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in a sauce that had me licking my fingers without shame. The cheese tteokbokki was exactly what I was hoping for. Chewy rice cakes swimming in a rich, spicy, cheesy sauce that kept me coming back for another bite. The corn cheese deserves its own paragraph because wow... I understand why Korean restaurants serve this. Sweet corn covered in gooey melted cheese is one of those dishes that sounds simple but somehow disappears before you realize it. The fried potstickers rounded everything out nicely and added another crispy bite to the meal. And because apparently we hadn't eaten enough, we finished with Dippin' Dots for dessert. It was such a fun way to end the meal and brought back a little childhood nostalgia. Overall, the portions were generous, the food came out hot, and the whole spread looked as good as it tasted. The garlic has a little kick to it, while the soy ended up being my favorite. The sauce was savory, slightly sweet, and somehow the wings stayed incredibly crispy even after being coated. Next time I'd love to try the honey soy, and eventually work my way through all of the different flavors. The wings themselves are nice and meaty, so you definitely get your money's worth. We also ordered both the deep-fried gizzard and the stir-fried gizzard. They're completely different dishes, but both were excellent. The stir-fried version comes with jalapeños, garlic, and onions, and it was absolutely delicious. Be warned though--the jalapeños bring some serious heat. If you like spicy food, it's so worth ordering. The deep-fried gizzard was just as good. It comes with a smoky, spicy dipping sauce, but honestly it doesn't even need it because it's flavorful all on its own. My only small complaint is the portion size of the gizzards. They're huge. One order of the deep-fried gizzard is around $24 and could easily be shared by four or five people as an appetizer. For just a couple, I wish they offered a smaller portion at a lower price. After trying the gizzards, I have a feeling the original crispy wings would be delicious even without sauce. That said, the sauces we tried were so flavorful that I'd probably keep ordering them. The soy in particular was outstanding, and I loved that the wings stayed extra crispy from the first bite to the last. We'll definitely be back to try more flavors.
