Wanted to eat something close by and found this place! Looking at the menu online I was sold by the prices of pho since a usual bowl is $8-$10. The pho broth is good but I would recommend a large because they barely give you any noodles. The service is not great I ordered a Cafe Su Da (Vietnamese Coffee with condensed milk) and it didn't come out until after we finished our food. I had to remind the server and he told me not to rush him and that it's only him when there it one other table than us here. I give customer service a 2/10 and food a 5/10 read more

If you can get past the subpar service, the food is completely worth it. They have some of the best beef stew I've ever had (apart from my own of course). Well off the beaten path, but a boon for far NE Dallas, this restaurant is just plain delicious. I had the Goi Cuon and Bun Thit Nuong, both of which were as fresh as can be. The GC were meaty and filled with lettuce, sprouts & cliantro. The pork in the BTN came out right off the grill, and was hot to the last bite. They need advertising and a bigger sign. Absolutely horrible food. I wanted to try just the standard fare for my first trip here. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and the Basil Beef Noodle. There were no vegetables other than bean sprouts in either dish. The seasoning was 100% identical between both dishes. There was so much excess oil in the ToGo container that I had to soak it up with a paper towel before just tossing the extra in the trash. Having just moved down to the area from Plano I was lookin forward to some good Asian food since we were surrounded by it up there. Should've listened to other reviewers. 1. 75% of menu is not available. In fact, only 3 items are available: pho and grilled pork rice or noodles. 2. The lady in the kitchen is beyond rude. She kept yelling at the old man serving (assuming her husband). I ordered a grilled pork noodle bowl with extra sunny side up egg on the side to share with my son and she was hollering from the kitchen in Vietnamese, "What's this egg on the side, who does she think she is placing such a complicated order!?" I wanted to leave but my husband didn't wasn't to put them out since they had started making our food. If you want to pay to be belittled and made to feel like a beggar then please come here. 3. Utensils were dirty. They gave me a pair of scissors that had not been washed still had sriracha on the blades. 4. Husband ordered a grilled pork chop rice plate. Came with no pork chop, just grilled pork, nut pork is pork so fine. Also, fried shallots instead of green onions over the entire place. Lazy, disgusting, sorry excuse for a restaurant. 5. Old man waiter also told us we shouldn't have come here, that all the local Vietnamese know better and we must be travelers. This is one of those solid, always delicious, go to places. Get the pho ga (chicken is white and dark meat). It is the best in the city - hands down!! The Pho Thai was great. I had the regular portion but I wish I had just got the larger bowl for a dollar more. The portion size was too small for grown adult. The Lemongrass Vermicelli was great too. I also enjoyed the Shrimp Spring Rolls. I only give it three due to the lack of tables available due to prior patrons dishes. The service was so-so, as I was hand gestured to move my glass out of the way so she could place my pho down. Not a biggy but the abruptness at which it was done could've been more professional. Worse Pho ever. Got a #15 & 17 Pho to go. Broth cold. Not room temperature but cold. Told the older man that speaks little English and he told me I need to heat it myself. I let him know about the dangers of eating raw beef so he told me I don't know how to eat Pho. No sir. When I go out the door and live 5 minutes away I expect to have everything at the temperature it's suppose to be. You don't know how to cook prepare your broth. It was also just not good. This place was delicious. Honestly the best Pho I've ever had. The brisket meat was tender, cooks perfectly. The broth was savory and perfect temperature, and the noodles were so so good.
