I came here for my boyfriends birthday and wasn't thrilled. The best part of this restaurant is the ambiance which is a 10/10. So beautiful! This is tapas and only serves wine and beer- I ordered a glass of wine and nothing on the menu was AMAZING for wine choices. Tapas I enjoyed: mushrooms and tacos. The ceviche is also great but a bit spicy. I didn't like the steak or cheese board (total rip off). The cheese board is such small portions I could eat it in one bite. Don't offer a charcuterie board if it isn't done well in my opinion. The blue cheese is gross and there's only 3 cheese options. Our waitress was pretty MIA for most of our dinner, however we enjoyed some dishes and the ambiance. Probably won't be coming back- but worth a shot if you're open to mediocre food with good ambiance. read more

Awesome brunch spot! I had never been to this location so I wanted to try the brunch for the first time and I was so impressed! The patio is beyond adorable. I felt like I was in a European country. Amazing natural light and trees surrounding you! I had a delicious red wine sangria. The food was also amazing. The egg pizza was crunchy and thin. The Brussels sprouts were fabulous. The avocado toast was phenomenal and shockingly good for such a simple dish. My favorite item was the French toast which was fluffy and full of flavor. It got pretty full around noon on a Saturday. Seems like the perfect place to celebrate a birthday because they have big tables for big parties and the atmosphere was super fun. Felt very safe eating there as they have out there seating and all the staff were very carful handling the food and everything else to minimize any chances of contamination. I absolutely loved this place! Their menu has a lot of options and they come in small portions so usually two to three plates will fill you up. I went with a group of five people and we got about 8-10 different plates and were all very satisfied and ended up spending $25-30 each including tax and tip which I think is great. Personally, I prefer smaller plates of food in general because I like to try multiple things and this place was great for that. Their outdoor seating is also very cute and romantic and everyone was at a safe distance. I think a couple must haves that we got were the chefs salmon, the stuffed mushrooms, and the oaxacan pasta. Back in my Westside days, I often dined at Bacari PDR. Praise the food fairies: they've stationed a location on 3rd street! Since their opening nearly a year ago, I've been to this location at least 5 times, and it never disappoints. There are several of the old faithfuls on the menu, and many new delicious items to choose from. The restaurant has the perfect ambiance for date night. When you are walking down 3rd street, Bacari is easy to miss. You walk through a brick tunnel and enter a wonderland. With part of the restaurant in a courtyard-esque area, you feel like you are in a Parisian paradise. The wine list is extensive. Go for happy hour and you can enjoy many specials on drinks (beer & wine only). The food is all meant to be shared, which I appreciate. Both brunch and dinner menus are delicious. A few of my favorites include the lamb stuffed eggplant, stuffed mushrooms, noa's cauliflower and the octopus. You can't go wrong with the bread pudding for dessert. For brunch, I loved the crab cake benedict, with grapefruit hollandaise and sous vide egg, and the smoked salmon pita. Bacari hosts different themed dinners, such as their 'Friendsgiving' or All-You-Can-Eat Roast Lamb night. All in all, a great place to go with a group or your loved one. read more

The food was delicious, the setting was chic and hip and inviting, and our server Lindsay was amazing. she was friendly, competent, helpful and timed the food perfectly. The food is awesome and the scene was hopping at 7:30 on a Sunday night. We had a reservation, but ended up waiting outside for about 15 minutes for the host to find us. All the outdoor tables were booked, so we were initially seated inside, where it was so loud my friend and I couldn't hear each other. They nicely agreed to let us sit just outside the indoor area on the patio, close to a fountain. It was much better than dining inside, but not as great as being in the garden (where I was last time I visited). Food -- by chef Lior Hillel -- is delicious, always, and plates are small, as expected. The pour of wine was generous and the staff positive and attentive. Order the cauliflower, brussel sprouts and salatim that come with fresh hot pita. We had malabi for dessert, which was unusual and extremely sweet. Only thing I would have done differently menu-wise was not order the beet gnocchi -- although it was creamy-tasty, it seemed to be mostly sauce with extremely small gnocchi that I could barely see. I can't afford this place weekly, but annually, with a friend or a small group of friends, it's on my must list. read more

Just ordered Postmates from this restaurant we were excited to try .....unfortunately out of the five items we ordered only one was satisfactory. Both our beet salads were horrible no flavor didn't taste like beet salad I mean how do you mess that up? The bread pudding was horrific, literally I couldn't even tell it was bread pudding, It was like they took a cake mix out of a box and mixed it with water and then threw in a big clump of it with some cinnamon on top it was cold and there was nothing that resembles bread pudding or anything sweet. The margarita pizza first off the cheese was half way off the small ( the regular size looks like kids size) pizza and there was one basil leaf on it and the pizza was ICE cold! The petite filet was decent but cold and house sauce was very salty -note you get 4 pieces it's no joke a petite petite 4 pieces. Would I go there,....No, not after this experience nor would I spend $86 on Postmates for that order too bad because we heard good things about this place. read more

I had the pleasure of hosting a private event at Bacari, with a full buyout, I worked with Brittany A. and Celina, the event managers, to detail out the event. They were responsive and very thorough and easy to work with. As an event planner, it's hard to know how a restaurant venue will handle a buyout, but their staff and service was impeccable. From Jordan and Sam, the managers, and their amazing chef who created the most delicious dishes, to all the staff that night: Milos, Tony, Nick, Tyler, Nichole, David, Ricky... the event was a hit and the service, phenomenal. WOW just WOW! It was my first time but definitely not my last time. I found this place on IG and it looked all cute and all that. I called to make reservations the night before and was told that the garden was booked - had to get a table on the sidewalk which was okay. We got there like 30 minutes early before our reservation, the host checked us in (also temp check). Without asking her if there was any cancelations, she said that you'll be sitting in the patio, which was great. As we sat down, the waitress came to get our drink orders, long story short we ordered about 5 different dishes - all of them were very delicious and tasty and those seasonings were the best. Lovely birthday dinner here tonight with a good friend. The atmosphere is perfect and the food is really delicious. It's the first time in quite a while that the entire menu was something we would have ordered -- no disappointments, just exceptionally planned and deliciously executed across the board. That's really hard to do, so brava all around. The cocktails and wine list were totally en pointe, btw -- I can't recommend the Yaya Lemonade highly enough. Exquisitely chosen and executed. The service tonight could have used a little support. To be clear, everyone was friendly and helpful, but perhaps a little inattentive at times. I'm going to chalk that up to the current Omicron surge as most businesses are struggling to be fully staffed (or even staffed enough to stay open) so Bacari must be doing something right. Vibes here are the best when gathering up with a few friends! We went on a Thursday night, and it was pretty packed. Waiters, waitresses, and the host were so friendly and helpful! LOVED a the food! Small plates but it's perfect to share a little bit of everything between two people. What we had Kale salad 8/10 - it was really good and light Chefs salmon 10/10- so much flavor and I would be lying if I didn't say I wanted another one! Sea bass 9/10 - so yummy and fresh tasting I definitely would get this again, didn't have as much flavor as the salmon but it's sea bass it's suppose to be clean and fresh. So good! Pro tip: get the 90 min alcohol that they have it's $30 and we had about 4 drinks each that night read more

I love how everything is tapa style and you are able to get a taste of so many different things because of the portion size and the incredible prices. I have to say the drinks are amazing, the food has a wide variety and it's very vegetarian and fish friendly. It has enough and everything for everyone. We were able to have the salmon, the Seabass, the ricotta and beet pasta, the stuffed mushrooms, and the Xoacan pasta. I literally loved everything to the point we were literally licking the plate. Order food from here on Sunday Night. Pick up time was 945pm...we got a message from the GH driver that the food wasn't ready & the restaurant told him 10mins. At 1010pm another message from driver that they still had not gave him food, he said he was contacting driver support. GH then called restaurant and was told they were backed up and were going as fast as they can. GH support contacted us. Finally at 1030pm and 45mins after GH pick up time our GH driver got the food. The poor GH Driver waited 45mins past pick up time out food. This place closes at 10pm on Sunday. Restaurant should not take delivery orders if its going to take them 90 mins to cook it. read more
