¥¥¥ 2026 review #6 ¥¥¥…read more When I found out Vesti is doing an 8-month residency (until January 31st 2027) at The Maydan Market, I immediately booked 2 seats for their Eating Menu. Yup! You read it currently. Not a mini bites tasting menu that still leaves you hungry after messes. It's a generously portioned full size EATING MENU fit for true foodies!!! An AYCE for 2 hours at Vesti's counter, Chef prepared, right in front of your eyes. Like an Omakase but a million times better, with imported, high quality ingredients and you can even ask for seconds if you really really love any course. Trust me, you will be FULLY stuffed! We started out with Vesti Zippy Dill And Vinegar Chips with Pecorino Mascarpone Caramelized Onion Dip ($12) that in itself is a yummy starter. Highly recommend to add a 12g Tin. ($45) Aqua Best Ossetra Caviar! #iykyk Next, we had the most delicate and superbly balanced Ōra King Salmon w/ cucumber granita, trout roe & pickles. Mmmmm.... I was tempted to ask for servings but needed to pace myself. Bite after bite, we were wow'ed by each and every dish preparation. I got to chat and talk FOOD with Chef Adam and Chef Shane as well as Jorge and Tony -- honestly that was the highlight of the whole Eating Menu experience. The courses kept coming, as soon as we finish one dish, another one pops up! Delicious Nduja sausage in toasted homemade focaccia, super crispy vodka beer-battered wings, Nduja croquettes & Nona's Balls, to-die-for Zoe's crispy fried mortadella sandwich, made-to-order artisan pizza... we were so stuffed! But there's always room for dessert, especially when it's Vesti's Whiskey Caramel Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding!!! Served warm with fresh whip cream.m ^_^ pure heavenly bliss! The menu always changes, even between seatings on the same evening. We can't wait to go back for more Eating Menu! Run, don't walk! Maydan Market at: 4301 W Jefferson Blvd -- Los Angeles Vesti's Eating Menu pop-up at Maydan Market only until Jan. 31, 2027 -- seatings at 4pm * 6pm * 8pm on Tuesday through Saturday *reservations required. Highly recommend booking ASAP 'coz seats are going fast, especially on weekends: eatvesti.com/maydan-market SYOY & at Vesti residency at Maydan Market!

About a 10 min drive from Exposition Park/USC. Parking could be challenging given it's off a residential area -- so you could save some headache and adventure over via Metro! This was the first time I visited a food hall, where I could seat myself and utilize one single QR code to order from various menus, and have it served directly to me! Loved it! Since our boss was treating, there is a feature that they can share the tab link with others, and you can order whatever you'd like from your own phone as opposed to passing your phone around or having a point person order from their phone. I believe they will accommodate normal table side order placement if needed, which is appreciated for people who are not tech savvy or maybe they just don't wanna deal with it lol I thought the menus had very unique offerings and it wasn't too overwhelming with a ton out of choice (shout out to my indecisive people). I ended up ordering from their southeast Asian restaurant-- thoroughly enjoying my two piece Thai fried chicken set, which includes a small plate of pickled greens and going with the French fries and curry sauce on the side. Incredible flavor and value! My colleagues opted for more traditional, Mexican fare, enjoying guacamole, corn, tamales, and sea bass tacos dorados. We all had iced teas! I didn't want my fried chicken to go to waste and appreciated having the ability to box my own food up (containers, located near the silverware and napkins station). I did have to go to one of the food stamps to ask for A to go ramekin because I needed to take the curry sauce!! All in all super cool spot cannot wait to try other things and go back. There's so many different vibes from traditional dining room seating to an outdoor patio with comfy benches. Can't wait to come back for that Lebanese breakfast!!!!!!!!

My husband and I often find ourselves at odds when it comes to dining out, as our tastes don't always align. However, when it comes to Toochie's, we're in complete agreement: they serve the best burger we've ever had. The secret lies in the careful preparation and meticulous smoking process, which elevates the flavor to new heights. Each bite reflects the love and dedication put into their craft, creating a harmony of taste that is genuinely hard to beat. What's more, Toochie's Kitchen has managed to earn a special place in our culinary hearts, something we fondly refer to as a "hood Michelin star" in our household. This accolade is well-deserved, as they consistently deliver on quality, flavor, and hospitality. Whether you're a burger connoisseur or just someone who appreciates a good meal, Toochie's Kitchen is a must-visit destination. They've managed to bring my husband and me together over food in a way few other places have, and for that, they have our wholehearted recommendation. We haven't visited the store yet but we did do the stand a year ago and then tonight we uber eats it. We have been thinking about and following this place for so long. The people running it are also amazing and have the best vibes! Support a local business and family please!!

I personally don't mind the walk. My only complaint is that I had no idea that dogs were allowed in this restaurant. There was a couple sitting next to me with a small dog that kept staring at me eat the entire time. It made me uncomfortable and a bit sad but it was tolerable. Everything was fine until the dog got on top of the table and I immediately became disgusted. Dogs are lovely but shouldn't be allowed inside the restaurant for this very reason. Let this be a reminder to always ask (nicely) if your table can be cleaned before you enjoy your meal!

The line was very short and we were able to get a seat by the window for optimal people watching. The pastries we chose were good and beautiful, but not the most amazing we have ever tasted. I ordered the Mediterranean Eggs which feels like a light and healthy option. My daughter had the BLT Benedict that was SO good. We gave that a 10/10 rating. Their coffee was good too. We ordered an iced americano and hot latte. The restaurant is beautiful with a lot of seating, so it definitely should be on your list of places to try if you are in the Hollywood / Mid-Wilshire area. They usually have valet parking but if you want to save the money during the day, you can find some street parking on the side streets.

Myself and my husband along with 4 of our friends decided to try Vicky's before a play we were attending. At first, I was a little worried as it's not a large place, and looks more like a neighborhood spot, but I was pleasantly surprised when our food arrived. The service was great, as well as the timing of the food and drinks arriving after we ordered. The food was great, and they gave you nice portions that can be shared. Everything we ordered was tasty, as well as my friends were raving about the dishes they ordered. I will definitely recommend, and myself and my husband will be back for sure. Looking forward to trying their breakfast, and more dinner items on the menu. Don't sleep on this spot, its excellent!

I decided to give it another try and lucked out and found a spot. Parking in this area is always a challenge. The restaurant itself is cute, but it has a lot of hard surfaces, which means the noise has nowhere to go. It wasn't crowded when we arrived, so it wasn't an issue at first. As the place filled up, I noticed the noise level rising, but it never became a real problem. I like it when there is an open kitchen. Our server was cordial and took our order right away, but she never came back to check on us. At the end of the meal, we had to flag her down to get a to-go box and the check. Overall, the service was good but not great. I had the pizza, and my friend had the chicken and waffles. I was surprised by the portions, which were more than generous. The chicken and waffles was a piece of art and is probably one of the better versions we've had in Los Angeles. The pizza looked great, but when I picked it up, it was soggy and all the toppings slid off. I ended up having to eat it with a knife and fork. The flavor was good, but I think I would order something else next time.

This was one of the places that we had on a list that we were considering for event venues. It was much smaller than I expected but it could still work for our party. We originally weren't planning to eat here since we had other places to check out but my friends already had a table so we came by to say hi. They tried the food but I didn't so I will skip that part here. Service unfortunately felt very awkward and weird. This takes away from the ambiance in my opinion. We did consider ordering something like dessert (but weren't too keen on the menu) in the short time we were there as a courtesy but it felt very forced and in hindsight would have taken too much time. It just didn't feel warm or friendly at all. Same vibes from hotel staff too (it's inside the Garden Suite Hotel which makes parking slightly easier compared to the rest of the area). We may still return to book an event but to be completely honest I'm not personally inclined to visit again after this experience.

My first night/ visit: I came on a casual evening and sat at the bar. I ordered a variety of empanadas and a glass of Malbec. Finished with the chocolate banana dessert. The decor here is wonderful with a great spatial sense. If la vie bohème were a physical space. The people were warm and friendly and even met and struck up conversation with a fellow patron that was friends with the owners. A place I feel like the artists in 1920 Paris would hang out in, haha. My second visit: it was during an Argentina game watch during World Cup '26 (6/27 vs Jordan). Fugazzettas, choripans, and Maradona beer koozies! This felt like going to a close knit Argentinian community block party. The passion for their national team and the sense of community. I just loved the energy. I also really enjoyed my slice of fugazzetta while sipping down some Quilmes in my new Maradona beer koozie. With a chants and the cheering when Messi scored, I felt like I was experiencing a special 'soccer cultural event'. The rest of their menu looks quite amazing. And everything is reasonably priced as well. I've been recommending it to friends and I can't wait to come back to try some other entrées.

The food was just as memorable. The chicken Parmesan was everything you want it to be: crispy, flavorful, and topped with a rich, perfectly balanced marinara and plenty of melted cheese. The Rigatoni Vodka (we added a meatball) was equally impressive. The vodka sauce was creamy without being overly heavy, and the meatball was tender, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. One thing to know before you go: parking can be a nightmare. There is valet in front, or you can opt for parking in the surrounding neighborhood. You're better off grabbing a rideshare if you can. It makes the experience much easier, especially if you plan on enjoying a few drinks. Between the beautiful ambiance, generous portions, and delicious food, this is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

As we walked in, nothing caught our attention more than the brilliant lively atmosphere. As we took our seats we awaited what would surely be a culinary journey. We ordered the margarita pizza, the calamari, the meatballs, garlic bread, and the pasta pomodoro. Fortunately and unfortunately, our first dish of the night happened to be the garlic bread. The bread locked. It's garlic butter flavor, or that of flavor at all. if it was all we had ordered, Met Him At A Bar would surely be given one star, but thankfully they had more to offer. The meatballs for one held our attention much longer than that of the garlic bread. The flavoring in the meatballs themselves brought us straight back to our childhood straight back to our roots, as the creamy marinara sauce brought the dish to life. A simple yet elegant dish truly. For us, the calamari was simply there. It's maintained everything you want in a calamari yet added nothing new. It stood out to us not in a world of flavor, texture, and culinary experiences. The Margarita Pizza, however it was quite small. What it lacked in size was made up for in flavor. The melted mozzarella mixed with pizza sauce on the pizza to create a pool of flavor, lingering in the middle of the pizza until one slice is picked up and eaten. Lastly, the pasta Pomodoro. The sauce was thin, the pasta was overcooked instead of al dente. In the singular basil leaf stood atop the pasta, not for flavor, but to save the appearance of a disgraceful pomodoro. It's safe to say, Met Him At A bar may or may not be "Meating" us again... Most Sincerely, yours truly: Henry Pollock & Hayden Kalebic
