What a bummer. We've been getting turtle pie for family birthdays for over 20 years. Never ordered from this baskin robbins and won't ever again. First I got a call that they couldn't fulfill my online order. I called back and the employee said whoops, we can. It was someone else. Then I picked up the turtle pie and it was smooshed ina way too small box. I had my birthday child with me and we were in a rush so we let it go. Something seemed off but I wasn't sure. When I got home, I compared it to the online photo. It was missing our favorite fudge and pecans. Ok, bummer but whatever, I'll let it go. Then we bit into it and it was a random nut crust not the standard Oreo. Tasted totally different. So I call the manager to say, hey can we get a new one. Smooshed, missing two ingredients and the crust is wrong. She said- sorry- no can do. We can't get that Oreo crust anymore and you should've said something in the store. I didn't inspect the cake in the store and do a photo comparison. And I sure couldn't see the hidden crust under the ice cream in the store. And why is the store making things with different crusts and not telling customers? For $35, it was a total waste & awful customer service. Just apologize and replace it. I get it- mistakes happen. but to say, whoops our bad, that sucks and we don't care is next level. read more

Your basic Baskin Robbins shoppe. The staff is generally friendly and attentive. Ice cream is pretty good and they never appear out of anything. Dollar scoop nights are pretty awesome, although expect to wade through a sea of kids wrecking the joint and not watching where they are walking with their cone. My husband almost got impaled by some kid's ice cream cone on his butt one night! I would have said four stars instead of three, but one thing is a bit annoying. You must make a $5 minimum purchase to use your debit/credit card. I've gone in there before ready to have one of those hideous clown cones on my lunch break and had to put him back because he was only $2.. One thing that is sort of amusing. They always ask if it's here or to go when they ring you up. I'm not really sure how that would change things? Anyone know? Is there a small fee for sitting at the tables and eating or ? I love this place. It's no secret that I love Ice cream. Baskin Robbins is located right down the street from my place. They seem to have more than 31 flavors, but I didn't bother to count. For ice cream on the cheap, check out $1 scoop nights on Tuesdays. It can get pretty busy there with families, kids, and little league groups, but be patient and you will be rewarded. If you order is less than $5, they don't take debit or credit cards, so be prepared with cash or be prepared to order more. read more

BR31 (Baskin Robbin 31 Flavors) for the uninitiated should really get more respect. It's not hyped and it's just solid from its variety of 31 flavors and its awesome soft serve. For all the times that I've been regular patron, I just noticed that while it's not special, I'd like to call it special, there is a regular item that is not on the menu ------------ A FLOAT. She answered my questions knowledgeably. She then told me to try to make my order online and if it didn't work out to call back. But worst of all there was a guy serving without gloves and he had a nasty band aid on and I could see the dirt stuck to the sides on the band aid. Really disgusting. I scream for Ice Cream!!! Especially today because they have a special to celebrate 31. 31 flavors also cuz today's the 31st of August. So every 1 scoop is $1.31 and $3.31 for a 2 scoop. I got 1 scoop of the baseball but which consist of vanilla ice cream, raspberry, and cashew nuts. I would have gotten more scoops/ got a sundae but I gotta watch my sugar intake. Might I add they had free water. And customer service here is awesome. I walked in with my son and was greeted and asked what I would like to order. They are fast and friendly. And it was also busy. Dont get me wrong, their ice cream and diffeent sundae concoctions are delicious, but unfortunately theyre not so delicious that I'd spend an arm and a leg for such a small portion. I can get a much more better dessert in taste and quality for the same price AND where Id feel was worth the calories. You can never go wrong with Baskin Robbins! Especially $1 scoop Tuesdays! I love that they have so many flavors. My favorite flavors are the ones you can't really get all the time in grocery stores like peppermint, apple pie a la mode, cotton candy, nutty coconut, the one with pop rocks, etc. For my fiance's birthday I always get him his favorite cake of all time -- the ice cream cake with pistachio almond ice cream and chocolate cake and man it is sooo good. My only complaint is that they now show on the menu how many calories each item has. It makes me feel guilty after eating! But who cares, I would eat their ice cream all day every day! read more

Nothing special about this Baskin Robbins location. It's a decent size and typically has ample seating available. They recently remodeled so it looks much more updated and modern. The menu board looks great too. I usually get world class chocolate (very creamy white and milk chocolate swirl), jamoca or jamoca almond fudge. These flavors never disappoint. I've purchased a few cakes from here & their artwork is awesome, costs extra though depending on the complexity of the design. Bummed that they no longer do $1 Tuesday scoop night. Once or twice a year they do a 31 cent scoop night but it's usually insanely busy. I also love the mocha blast from here, but I've been deterred from buying it after they increased the prices, not to mention the crazy amount of calories they pack (500-780 cal & $5.99 for a medium). $5 minimum charge if you pay via card. read more

Terrible customer service. I walked into the store and asked for an application and the owner (I suppose) yelled across the room. "WE ARE NOT HIRING!" I, as the naive young, handsome, brave, soul that I was, walked out and applied to other places. I warned my friends about the incident and they just laughed at me... It would be a waste to NOT get a $1 scoop if you're near a BR on Tuesdays. Today I got Oreo cookies and cream in a sugar cone. The ice cream was soft without being melty and perfectly molded to my cone. This BR is clean, has plenty of parking, and seems really big compared to other BRs that I've been to. No downsides that I can think of! It would take you over 6 months to try all the flavors if you got a different one each week. I think that's actually a pretty good challenge. This location gets really hot inside, so it's kinda weird going here on a hot day to get ice cream, then have to stand inside a hot store while you wait for your release. $1 scoop nights have discontinued; how disappointing. I used to frequent Baskins a lot especially for their $1 scoop Tuesdays! It's gone up a bit in price now but it's still a good deal. I like this location. You see a lot of the same workers and they're all helpful and courteous. The tables can be messy with ice cream drips but only usually during peak times. Otherwise, they're nice and clean. And the quality of baskin robbins ice cream is always top notch! I love Nutty Coconut---good coconut flavor (not like sunscreen which you find at other places) and lots of nuts. And when April rolls around, I know I can find Tax Crunch (my all time favorite). It's a coffee flavor with chunks of chocolate and krispy crunchy pieces. read more

I would give less stars if I could. I called the Baskin-Robbins in Mira Mesa and specifically asked the staff if they had an Oreo ice cream cake for 6 to 12 people. I was told yes but when I arrived, they had every size except for the one that I needed. They didn't even have a good excuse, all they said was that they didn't have it even though they had specifically told me that they did. Okay so I went to a BR location in poway a day before I visited this particular site and was surprised to see that the exact same size and same flavor milkshake cost me a scant $1.50 over what I had paid the day before at their poway location only about 7 miles away. Also, the milkshake I had here barely had any ice cream in it and was mostly milk. Also, They never seem to put out their popular cakes in the display and i an nearly always see them in the freezer at the back. Wonder what motivates the staff to bring those popular flavors out. Went to Baskin Robbins in Mira Mesa this afternoon because I had a coupon on my receipt from my last visit to another store (buy one sundae, get the second for $1). When I walked in I heard someone quietly say welcome, but didn't know where it came from. Haha anyways, as I walk towards the back of the store, there are 2 young ladies there. One of them was decorating cakes, and the other turned around to do something real quick and then turned towards me. She said nothing.. I kid you not.. haha not one word. She just starred at me for a few seconds until I started to order. She quietly started scooping my ice cream and did ask if I wanted both sundaes the same.. which was the first time she had really acknowledged me. So she scoops my ice cream and then walks down to where the topping are and says "toppings?". I told her I would like hot fudge, whip cream, nuts and a cherry on both. As she started to attempt to add fudge on the first sundae, she realizes that it is on empty, to which I reply uh oh!.. in a playful way.. zero reaction. Haha she walks away and grabs a ladle, comes back, opens it up and starts to fish for some fudge from the bottom of the container. As she scoops it out it was super hot (you could see a lot of steam coming from it) and super chunky and clumpy. I was a little turned off by it and asked if it was normal for it to look like that? She said "yeah". So she scoops it on to my sundaes which looks gross (I don't know why I didn't say anything else), and more importantly it was so hot that it immediately melted the top scoop of ice cream as soon as it touched it. :( I was planning to take one home and eat the other right away (I only live about a mile away). By the time I walked out the door, and got in my car (I was parked right out front), it was already a big cup of ice cream soup. Completely melted. I ended up tossing them but plan to go back and get a refund. Such a strange experience from the time I walked in untill the time I left. That poor girl had zero customer service skills whatsoever.. just didn't speak.. and starred when I talked with zero acknowledgement. Even when I paid, she just told me the total, I inserted my card to pay, she put the stuff in a bag, handed it to me and walked away.. of course I shouted "thank you! Have a nice day!" So very interesting after working out; we went to get someone small, i never realized how weird the sizes and the flavors and tops are. I paid 8 dollars for a double scoop with toppings for something i would have paid 4 dollars at other more popular places....it sucks that they use to be the first place for ice cream but now as time has gone by, it not the same, it isnt friendly anymore, its very out of date, Management needs a overhaul to get with the times read more
