Baskin-Robbins $36 ice cream cake but where is the ice cream?

Ordered a custom ice cream cake from this location. It was $36. Upon getting the cake, we noticed it was pretty small. Upon cutting it open, it had a sliver of ice cream. The rest was cake. We contacted the store and Farshid said he would send a certificate via email for a new cake and then hung up the phone abruptly. Followed up via email a few times and then when he finally replied, he said he had sent it via text. He then proceeded to send a bunch of very rude texts, insisting that I was somebody else. He definitely did not because I never gave him my cell phone and when I called him, it was from a landline. He said it was for a mini cake from the freezer case which is not what we ordered. Everything about this experience has been frustrating. Proceed with caution when ordering a custom cake.

Small and mighty / gotta love all the flavor variety. It literally has something for everyone to enjoy, sorbet, sundae, cone, dish, cakes... I called ahead to see if my favorite flavor was available and IT WAS!!! I headed over to this one since it was the closest. Monkey Business 2 scoops please. Soooooooooooo tasty!! Service with a smile - can't beat it. Enjoy!

Just your average Baskin-Robbins. As long as it's clean and has all the flavor you want that's the most important thing. I have only had 2 flavors over the past 15 years since Jamoca Almond Fudge is one of my favorite flavors and I like their Chocolate Peanut Butter a lot. I haven't had any of their other flavors so as long as those two are available I'm happy. There's a few seating area inside and outside here and parking is pretty available.

Such a throwback, I've been coming to Baskin-Robbins since it was 31 flavors and I got to take my husband for the first time which was such a treat. Somehow he instinctively knew to get daiquiri ice which is a flavor I haven't discovered outside of Baskin Robbins and is definitely one of my favorite flavors. I usually get the pistachio almond but this time I was in a peanut butter mood I went for scoop of chocolate peanut butter. It was quite yummy. There's plenty of parking in the strip mall and the staff were fast and efficient. Lots of flavors to choose from too so there's something for everyone!

What do you do when there's a heat wave outside and you need a way to cool down? Seek out ice cream of course! The Baskin Robbins franchise has been around for as long as I can remember. Interestingly enough, Tustin has always had a location although it hasn't always been where it is today. I'm always a fan of the tried and true, so their Gold Medal Ribbon flavor is where it's at for me. Regardless, you have up to 31 flavors to select from so enjoy!

Baskin Robbins had a promo today for a free single scoop with promo code in app. This is my first time using their app, so I actually downloaded and walked in to the store to look at the selections. Interesting enough, my favorite flavor that wasn't showing up in the app was available so I mentioned it to the girl that was working and she said I can order any flavor on the app and she will substitute with what I want. When I placed the order, it prompted for credit card info (no Apple Pay) because they charged tax off the original price, which I wasn't expecting but I did it because I was already there. The girl working was so friendly. She changed my flavor for me and gave me a nice big scoop.

Friendly staff and yummy ice cream. They also have a great birthday club that you can include birthdays for your entire family on one account. You get a QR code to scan on the mobile app for the free birthday scoop. Today I stopped by for the free scoop deal on the app and got a nice sized scoop of strawberry cheesecake! Yum!

I work in Memory Care and we were going to have a Family Hour Ice Cream Social. I reached out to Baskin Robbin's on Newport and they donated all the ice cream. They all came pre scooped in containers. They also let us use a cooler to keep them in until we were ready to serve. It made the day go by so smoothly. I had a topping bar and everyone one picked up the flavor they wanted and made their own sundae. The service was friendly and professional. A seamless process. I was so grateful they made the day a success!

Had a great experience ordering a custom cake from here last month for my son's birthday! Although this is not the closest basking robbins to us, this is the location we always go to because they have a good variety of cake and great customer service. I wasn't sure they would do a custom cake but it wasn't too detailed oriented in design because we bought cake toppers so thought I'd ask and the cake decorator did a wonderful job! Will definitely be back for future ice cream cake (and ice cream) needs! read more

The girl working tonight totally skimped on the scoops. It was literally like 1/3 the normal size. The entire scoop was hollow in the middle so that when she put it on the cone, it compressed to a flat chunk about half an inch tall. I thought maybe she misheard, and gave me a kid sized scoop because we got 2 other kid scoops, (which were also tiny), but no, got charged full price. $15 for three of the tiniest scoops ever. So disappointed. I should have said something, but there was a line behind us. read more

Our Irvine locations shut down so I was thankful that we found the Tustin location. I HAD to write in since this was such a breath of fresh air to get such GREAT customer service like the good ol days. We were greeted upon entering the door. My daughter wanted an ice cream cake and they came to see if they could assist with any questions. Very pleasant and helpful. Brent, the owner was so customer friendly and helpful, that my 13 year old daughter told me to write in about the experience. I couldn't leave without getting a scoop of my favorite peanut butter n chocolate. My daughter is excited about her ice cream cake, and they nicely wrote on the cake, per our request. Baskin Robins has just moved across the street to the new address 13662 Newport Ave. This place looks amazing and I love the new decor and all the dazzles. The owner Fred is such a sweet guy and let me have a combo scoop of two different chocolate flavors! They play music and he told me they will be open Friday and Saturday night until midnight. Good place for our teenagers to hang out and be safe and happy! read more

So this place was great from the moment I stepped inside their website and reward system. They have an the place was very clean. Well kept the staff were nice professional, very courteous and welcoming we don't really eat a lot of ice cream however on occasions we do this is a nice spot that I would like to come to and I highly recommend this spot to anyone else in the area is nearby. The library and other places, especially now during the summer, it's not far away, they have a great selection of ice cream and again they're very clean and very nice and professional here it's worth the trip read more

This is the most customer service oriented baskin robbins I've ever visited. I believe it was the owner but not sure, but he was so warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly it was almost like visiting a mom and pop shop. He took care of my cake order and also threw in a few treats for me to try all because I said one of the treats looked really good. The service at this Baskin Robbins is never good but today the experience was terrible. After ordering over my phone, I walked in to Tyler with an annoyed look on his face. I attended to be nice and helpful and was shut down immediately and he walked into the backroom. There was no whip cream on my banana split or mocha blast drink and when I asked for some they charged me extra to add it and it was clearly a drag for me to ask in the first place. when I mentioned the service was not as expected both Tyler and the back room backer gave me attitude. All this to get home to the wrong flavors of ice cream! Do yourself a favor and drive to the Bonita establishment where their customers service is always above and beyond. read more

Came by looking to buy an ice cream cake. As I was looking in the cake fridge, I was promptly greeted by Brent. He asked how many people I wanted to feed, he suggest the 3rd sheet. My family is picky with their ice cream cakes. I told Brent I was looking for chocolate cake and a plain ice cream. He went to the back and found me a ice cream cake to my specs. Awesome customer service, super friendly and knowledgeable about all things ice cream. The chocolate cake was soft and moist. The ice cream really complimented the cake. This cake purchase also came with a single scoop of ice cream of your choice. Their store has lots of options for candles. They even had free birthday crown for my kids. Absolutely the best ice cream. Before there were gourmet ice cream shops with fancy names that "made ice cream into a floor show", there was Baskin Robbins. They have good ice cream, excellent sundaes and great cakes. This store is fresh and new, clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I feel as if I am a valued customer when I go in. There ice cream is always good, they make yummy sundaes to order and no gimmicks like alchemy or frozen tables needed. read more

This place did a wonderful job on my daughters birthday cake and they really went above and beyond to ensure it was perfect for her party. Our party was at 9am on a Sunday morning so I was going to pick the cake up Saturday afternoon, but they called me and said the cake would do best if it was picked up day of. So they offered to open early so I could come get the cake then!! It was super helpful and the cake was utterly perfect for the party and all the kids loved it!! One of the most pleasant experiences I've had in a long time. The gentleman who was helping us was so patient and accommodating with my children placing their own orders. He also gave me extra hot fudge with my sundae! So generous considering most ice cream places don't even seem to offer hot fudge these days. Highly recommend this location! read more

I forgot to get my brother his birthday ice cream cake and all other cake shops needed 48 hours notice. I was able to order online at this BR with about 36 hours notice for pickup on thanksgiving day. I showed up on Thanksgiving morning and the owner greeted me with a "Happy Thanksgiving!" He was really personable and said he didn't have the color icing I requested and if he could switch out the colors. It was really nice that he asked first even though I wouldn't have minded, I'm sure others would. He piped the message right then and there and told me I get a free scoop with cake purchase which made my day! It was really nice to interact with the owner and he's just a lovely person. Really glad to support this business. Definitely recommend for great service and taste! read more

Don't come to this location . The employees are lazy they used old cream and put it on top of the new ice cream . Why would they do that??! Totally fresh ice cream with scoops of old ice cream on top. It says it has non dairy options like chocolate and I go inside and they don't have them . They only have sorbet. The two employees who were dark hair girls working 9/27 on 8:45pm were no helped. They seemed miserable. The store is overly crowded could barely see the options till people moved over because the chairs and tables are so close to the ice cream . read more

The owner "Farshid" is very responsive and reliable. He personally delivered the cake. The ice cream cake tasted like heaven. All my daughters' friends loved it! Baskin Robbins will always be a nostalgic part of my childhood. I was so happy when this location opened because it's close to my office! There are lots of cute ice cream cakes readily available for purchase and many more drink options compared to other BRs. The staple flavors are always a must (strawberry, cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip, pralines n cream), but sometimes I'll indulge on their more unique & limited flavors. read more

I have ordered several cakes from other BR locations in the past, but this one on Main Street is the best! I was blown by the quality of service provided by Lulu. She is extremely patient and details when taking my custom order cake, and the cake turned out so beautifully! My girl was so thrilled with the cake and commended "This is the BEST birthday cake I have ever had! It is going to be the highlight of my party!" We have been coming to this location for several years. Tonight we were charged an additional .39 per cone for a single scoop on a cone. We paid $4.17 for a scoop and an additional .39 for the scoop to be on a cone. The employee said "we always charge for cones". This makes no sense as the board says "cup, sugar cone or cake cone" and then lists scoop prices for single and double. I pointed this out and the employee says, "I just do what my boss says". Not happy about this. I realize it is "only" 39 cents but it's actually $4.17 + .39. Not cool in my opinion. Also today the scoops were melts. Bummer. read more

Service: Removed a star because the flow of the store is awful and it's chaotic to order because you can barely see over the counter. You also have to order before you see the other half of the baked goods. I also unfortunately hear the employees complaining about customers in Japanese (they should know better...) and they're not the most friendly.

I ended up still ordering 2 cookies: miso toffee which was too firm and the ube coconut which actually was well balanced and had a nice coconut filling. Service was very friendly when I walked in and when I order the classic Halo Halo, I could tell that they took time to make it with lots of care. First impression of the Halo Halo was that it tasted very refreshing. Despite all the ingredients inside, it was not overly sweet. The Ube ice cream had great flavor, the slush base provided that refreshness, and the textual contrast of the cornflakes providing that perfect crunch was actually the star of the dessert for me. Round it out with some flavored jellies at the bottom along with jackfruit and you have yourself a well-rounded dessert. I can see myself coming back here to try their other offerings (including their $3 special on certain teas...)

Slander is a legal term used to describe false statements made by one party against another. I made no false statements - unlike your response. I did not react to you rudely when you came in, your staff had no issues with me, and you were parked far longer than 8 min. You are clearly angry, but evidently not contrite. You broke the law (CA sections 22511.7 and 22511.8), but you justify that because you are a good person who donates to charity. Sadly, your reaction is typical of someone who gets called out for parking in handicapped. It is a rare person who can simply take accountability and say they are sorry. I would give this place zero stars if I could, came here for my birthday scoop, some guys came in after me, The worker/owner(elderly man with few hair) asked me what I wanted, then quickly moved on to the guys behind me, and said, I'll get you guys first, they were hesitant, and eventually he got the point, and told me he didn't have to service me first because I wasn't paying. Literally the worst service in the world. Ice cream was good though, go to any other location. The only reason there's good reviews it's bc they bribe people by having the "give us a Yelp review for free scope". Also the owner is a dick for telling me I have bad attitude. I got a great deal from Groupon for a catering at my house. The staff delivered 5 flavors of ice cream all of which I chose and was PLENTY! The girl who serviced our party was very kind and made sure everyone got enough wet/dry toppings. Overall I'd say we got more than what we expected and the groupon deals are totally worth it! They also have $14 for $20 groupon toward anything so you can buy a cake at a discount. I'm surprised that this store has such bad ratings because as a regular customer, every time I go in I feel welcomed and notice the hard work the staff puts into each shift especially when it comes to making customers happy. 15/10 would recommend. I have been going to Baskin-Robbins all my life. Growing up i just used to call it the "pink store" and get so excited every time my parents would take me here. All of the people working here at this Baskin-Robbins are as sweet as their ice cream. They always have the biggest, most friendly smiles on their faces and give you endless samples! which is great for the very indecisive person that I always am. And I love their $1.31 deal every month! This Baskin-Robbins is by far my favorite in all of Orange County! Highly recommend the visit!! read more

Baskin Robbins is a staple in the community and I truly love coming to this store. It is family owned and run, everyone always smiles, the ambiance is always happy and theres so many delicious things to order. I love the Cappuccino Blast and would recommend it with Jamoca ice cream for a more rich, creamy, coffee texture.
