It is not often I get treated to a meal and when I do, it is nothing of this quality. First for me it's unassuming exterior relaxes you prior to the upcoming culinary extravaganza. It is warm and cozy inside, more like your grandmothers house prior to a celebration. The staff is kind considerate and professional always close by but never overbearing. The meals are served family style and in courses who lends itself to creating amazing memories. My kids, never fans of tomato soup, loved this garlic infused offering. Next came beans, a spaghetti appetizer and a fabulously tossed salad. There was none left by the time the main course reached us leaving us ready for the Piece De Resistance. The green beans were tasty and the potatoes a definite hit however the steaks were out of this world. My son got lamb with was flavorful, tender and a large portion. My daughter the filet which was rich, perfectly cooked and a meal unto itself. Her boyfriend, the pre birthday boy had the ribeye that transported him to another plane of epicurean joy. I had the big daddy porterhouse so I could get the best of both worlds of New York and Ribeye. I still can't decide which was better so WHEN not if I come back I will get it again. Don't leave before the ice cream which was greedily devoured by all of us. I highly recommend this gastric gem to all whether it's a romantic dinner or family celebration.

We called for a reservation and got one within 30 min for a party of 4 on a Saturday night. This place was PACKED and super busy but we only had to wait a few min before our table was ready. This is a family style restaurant where you order and wntree and then they bring out soup, salad, bread, beans, potatoes and pasta for everyone to share. The noodles were probably the fav. We had chicken which was a little dry but it came with rice which was good. The ribeye was delish. It also comes with ice cream which was just perfect. The service was good except for a minor mixup when they didn't charge us correctly (they took the cash but also charged the card in full but we were a party of 4 spitting the check). That was cleared up pretty quickly tho. Drinks were good but I wish they had more variety. We will def be back at some point when we visit friends again in that area!

Came here for their tapas menu with friends and had a great time. We got the olives, stuffed mushrooms, chicken strips, fried ravioli, bread and sampler plate with shrimp, beef, & pork. Everything was amazing! I would get everything again. My favorite was the shrimp! I want to get a full plate of shrimp next time. We also split a pitcher of the sangria and enjoyed it. Service was great! Our waitress and bartender were nice and answered all our questions. Highly recommend for a girls night out!

The carpet in particular is somewhat outdated and very dreary. We were seated right away with an evening reservation. Our server was the most delightful, helpful as well as professional person. She definitely made for an enjoyable experience. The menu is nicely broad with some very good and interesting selections. For an appetizer I selected the Alsatian Tarte Flambe. With the description of a "tarte" plus "puffed pastry" I was somewhat surprised when what looked like a flatbread arrived. Although somewhat true to the description I expected something like a cup shaped pastry. It was delicious enough so no complaints over the ingredients and flavor. If anything it tasted a bit top heavy with vinegar, yet still enjoyable. I washed it down with a Schramsberg Prosecco which was a perfect accompaniment. For an entree I choose the Grilled 6oz Petit Tender (medium rare) with asparagus and scalloped potatoes topped by a red wine and berry sauce. It was excellent, flavorful with the meat very tender. I was very pleased. It was an abundant portion so I was quite full after consuming it. My dining companion had the grilled meatloaf with ground filet mignon and pork sausage. It is baked and then grilled. I tried some and it is EPIC. It has to be one of the best meatloaf preparation I ever tasted. Bravo on this dish! We shared a bottle of Tempranillo to accompany it which was perfect. For dessert we shared a nice and refreshing mint chocolate chip ice cream which was generously comped as we were there for a special occasion. Thank you! I would definitely return and try other dishes, although the meatloaf is a must standout. Overall a very good experience.

The heat lamps were on in the enclosed area out front and they have cushions for the wrought iron chains and a shelf of blankets for customers to use. Complimentary Chilean bread rolls brought to the table right away with garlic herb butter, salsa verde sauce (chimicuri like) so good, made the old fashioned way with pork fat. Calamari Frito, Cajun seasoning, light and crunchy with a house made tarter sauce (excellent server brought us an additional tarter) Crab stuffed chili Relleno was a creative version of this meal I've eaten dozens of times, feta and a sweet sauce with the rock crab was delicious. Panqueque especial ,chorizo had a little kick but was cooled off by the pineapple and sweetness of the crepe. All baked together with rice, cheese, guac, veggie's on the side, this was a big meal that was packed with a savory mix of flavors,my favorite thing I sampled. Honey shirachi shrimp, jalapeno, bacon, pineapple,on slaw. Big shrimp, big taste in the sauce, excellent appetizer or can be ordered as a full meal. The entrance was a bit tough to recognize. In addition, the sign requesting patrons to wait to be seated was absent personnel. The youngster arrived while on the phone taking a reservation. Further delay as she coordinated seating for the large group (showing up on Wednesday, she shared). She mentioned they were slow and said I could select whatever table I liked. I ordered a savory martini and filet mignon, mashed potatoes and French onion soup. Soup arrived with the martini and the two could not have been more oppositely received. The soup exquisite, the martini...nearly undrinkable. But to be fair, I wasn't expecting an overwhelming bell pepper flavor. Black pepper Absolute Vodka was the description. I detest bell peppers. I tried to choke down as much as I could, then decided to give up halfway through. The soup was sublime. A 1/4 inch slice of brown toast under the melted Swiss cheese, the broth and onions delicious. I requested a 6 ounce pour of the Caymus California Cabernet Sauvignon with the steak. It arrived with my meat and potatoes beautifully plated. I'm not sure I wasn't served a sirloin. That filet was the shape of no filet I've ever bought or been served. But it was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were sublime - buttery and flavorful. The wine with less tannins than I anticipated- I really enjoyed that. Service was attentive and both the hostess and my server checked on me. My drive back to Sacramento will be pleasant.

Portion was huge and he brought half home. For dessert we had the cheesecake and the cream brûlée, both really good. Only downside, if you are dropping almost $200 for dinner, the bathrooms need to be clean and upscale. Mold in the ladies room toilet at the waterline - yuck - and Toilet paper dispenser broken and laying on the floor in the stall. This needs improvement. Overall we were happy with our meal and we will be back.

Food quality and presentation has been slowly going downward, inconsistent and on certain dishes seasoned with too much "SALT"! Literally had surf and turf where the lobster was like rubber "inedible"! In past entrees were complimented with side items and garnished nicely. Now they're plated with menu item only which lacks of "High End" sophistication and pricing. Sides have been consistently over cooked and burnt. For example the broccolini stems were like sticks, hard, chewy not crunchy fresh. So disappointing. Entrees and sides proportions have also changed from generous sizes to "where's the meat".
