Finally got to try out this small burger spot. Burger was ok and chili cheese fries were ok. I can't really say I'd recommend it here. Only because the burger was small for the price and chili had a sweet taste to it. I won't return, but there were a lot of people here so I'm assuming they like it.

I was craving some chili cheese fries, and I found this place on Yelp. I saw the reviews and was eager to try. The lady at the counter was super pleasant. I asked for the fries to be crispy, so the chili doesn't immediately make them soggy. I opted to eat them in my car, instead of sitting in that heat. The fries weren't crispy, so they were already a bit soggy. I found them to be just okay. I threw out more than half, because they were just soggy.

Wanted fast food. Found this shack near by. A burger shack that is!. Ordered an original hamburger, #1 Double cheeseburger combo and beast Chilli fries. Took a bite and it was delicous!!! The hamburger tasted like a hybrid of In and Out and a jumbo jack from Jack in the box. The chilli fries was huge! All was delicious.. no complaints. Definitely come back. It is a hidden gem. Must try. Only a few tables out front. Took my food home. Plenty of parking. Make sure you get a receipt, noticed they won't give it to you unless you ask.

Tried Classic Bixby Burger and went with the Bixby double burger with raw onions. The burger was big and stacked high with two juicy patties, melted cheese, and fresh toppings. The raw onions gave it a sharp crunch that cut through the richness of the beef and cheese. The bun was soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together without falling apart. It had that classic neighborhood burger stand feel, straightforward, just solid flavor. Service was quick and friendly, and the food came out hot. The spot has a casual, local vibe. Highly recommend.

A tiny little place that delivers powerful burger and chili fries flavors at an acceptable price point. It's so easy to pass by, but I'm glad I didn't.

Definitely my favorite burger place in LB! I've only been a few times, but I usually get The Big Bixby. It's a massive burger with 4 patties! When I first went, I was a bit worried they wouldn't be able to do a lettuce wrapped version of their burgers. But, they do! I've been trying to decrease the amount of carbs I eat, but still need to feel full. So, eating at Bixby Classic Burger definitely helps with that! The patties themselves are delicious! They taste like In-n-Out patties, but slightly better seasoning. The patties are also a little bit thicker as well. The guy at the window is friendly, patient and takes your orders pretty quickly. The food also comes out SO fast! I really appreciate that because I always come here while on break from work. You'll get the old time-y burger joint on the side of the road feel too. They do have tables you can eat at though. Super cool, super casual. Definitely recommend eating here!

I really thought that I would never find a protein style, (lettuce wrapped, no bun) burger to compare with In n Out. Today I found a burger that's better than In-N-Out which shocks me to say. This is the place. This is the ninth or 10th stop in my Bixby Knolls food tour. Everything was A+. California hotdog- looked delicious. I didn't taste it. Kevin said it was very good. Beast mode fries- covered in cheese, grilled onions, and delicious homemade chili. Well constructed with a lovely cheese pull. Hotdog with ketchup- high quality hotdog with a grilled bun. I like the hotdog/bun ratio to be pretty even and this was. I don't want a bunch of hotdog sticking out of the bun. Lettuce, wrapped single cheeseburger - like I said it's better than In-N-Out. Held together well despite me forgetting to ask for no sauce. That used to be my go to burger at In-N-Out, double-double protein style, no spread, raw onions. Bixby Classic Burgers has ruined all other burgers for me. We also got a single cheeseburger on a bun. I forgot to order grilled onions and they put raw onions which I had asked for. All of the food was fresh and the burger meat was delicious. The service was stellar, friendly staff, and everything in the order was correct. The ambience is hard to describe because it's kind of like a little shack. The tables outside were clean and my food came out well packaged.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Parking: 3/5 (shared parking lot and street parking) Family friendly: 4/5 Stroller friendly: 5/5 (outside seating) ADA accessible: 5/5 (outside seating) A good buddy of mine introduced me to BIXBY CLASSIC BURGER. Definitely a diamond in the rough. Old school burgers, old school menú, and decent prices for the quality of the burger. I ended up getting a Bixby double with grilled onions ($7) and fries ($4). It's a classic cheeseburger adorned with lettuce, tomatoes, and ketchup and steak fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and super tasty. If you don't feel like a burger, then go with the hotdog or whatever is on the special menu! If you're in the area I would definitely drop by and support this local biz. ( There is also a little ice cream shop in the back if you want dessert afterwards!)

Top 3 burgers in Long Beach. Tried the deuce and oh my, what an amazing experience. Yes it's a burger, but a great burger is a great burger. Perfect burger patties, chili was tasty and the onions were a perfect pairing. Great French fries, hot and crispy. So happy I finally tried this spot.

I don't have a picture because I ate it all But the burger was so good. I'm pretty easy to please. I like classic-basic cheese burgers. It was so well made. The fries were crispy. I love the calm jazz music they have playing. It really gives it that cute vintage vibe to it. I would have eaten there since it was a nice day out. The lady was extremely nice when she took my order. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my experience. 10/10. Awesome

Trying several items on the menu provided us a nice sampling of what they have to offer. We enjoyed everything we ordered. My favorite was probably the Brussel sprouts as they were cooked to perfection and not sweet like most restaurants serve them. A close 2nd was the chicken parmesan served over zucchini noodles. The final item ordered was a mushroom pasta with shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic with a light char and perfect flavoring. The pasta was good. It was a bit to spicy for me with the chili oil so I only had a small portion. The inside is simple yet inviting with an open layout. They seemed a bit short staffed, but every one was hustling and honestly we were well taken care of. Sad I won't have another opportunity to try more of the menu, but grateful to squeeze in this visit before they close in about a week.

The calamari was crispy, Cajun and delicious we really enjoyed the fried lemon slices! The mozzarella balls we're good but the house bread was a stand out! It's warm, flaky, savory and the tomato chili fenell butter complemented very well. For entrees we ordered the grilled branzino, short rib Agnotolli and the truffle pesto lasagna. The Branzino was perfect and the chili crunch herb salad was amazing. The short rib agnotolli was very savory and I loved the robiola bosina. The lasagna was very good and cheesy.

After enduring weeks of record breaking heat in Long Beach, this was the perfect place to land as the Summer Breeze... Makes Me Feel Fineeee again. A very well but gently lit space that still feels cozy and spacious. The outside gives no indication of how well the inside has been designed. Great for lunch or dinner dates. Noise level was low and there's no feeling of a chaotic restaurant environment. Food/Service 1-5: 4.8 I order the shrimp and lobsters fettuccine, bone marrow as an appetizer. My company ordered the lamb burger. All dishes we beautifully plated; true works of art. Neither of us had any complaints about presentation and creativity. As far as taste and as excited as we were to dig in to our food, the ONLY setback was the lack of seasoning mainly salt. I'm aware that a Chef does their best to meet the expectations of their guest. I'm also aware that meeting everyone's expectations is impossible. To confirm my advice of needing some salt in the food I patrons the restaurant twice, two days in a row. The food needs more salt and I stand solid on that opinion. The service was great and I thanked Mel for taking such great care of us. Mel is a rockstar! Diversity score 1-5: 4 The restaurant definitely appeals to diverse crowds. It reminded of the days I frequented Marcus Samuelsson's Red Rooster in Harlem, NY. Go again score 1-5: 5, Absolutely. I do hope I don't have to keep bothering the server for salt and pepper.

I'm not sure if it's always that lively on Friday nights, but it was the weekend of Warped Tour, so there was a lot of music and energy. If you're looking for a quieter meal, this may not be the best night to visit. The food itself was good, but the wait was much longer than expected. We waited almost 40 minutes for our order. Unfortunately, my burger was also made incorrectly. I ordered the Bacon Bleu Burger but was served a different burger instead. Not quite sure what it was, but it had mushrooms and American cheese. Since we had already waited so long, I decided to just eat it rather than send it back. The burgers were flavorful, but they were smaller than I expected for the price, and they don't come with fries. To round out my meal, I ordered the poutine fries. They were decent. The fries were nice and crispy, which I appreciated. My husband ordered the Burger Don Chendo, and that ended up being the standout of the night. I usually don't like spicy food, but this burger had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but between the long wait, the incorrect order, and the portion size for the price, the experience was a bit hit-or-miss. I'd be willing to give them another try, especially for the Don Chendo burger, but I'm hoping for a smoother experience next time.

We had made plans to hang out on a Monday and found that most of the restaurants we had been dying to go to were closed, so I turned to social media to find a cute spot for a girl dinner date...they even have a "girl dinner" special! While we didn't opt for that combo this time, everything we got was utter perfection. To start, we were greeted warmly by Alanna (I'm probably butchering the spelling; sorry, girl!) and invited in, and because The Attic occupies a cute old home on the corner it really felt like being welcomed in by a friend. She was exceptional, and was so excited when we mentioned Martini Mondays and kindly explained some of the menu for us and pointed at her favorites as we were visiting for the first time and love getting recs from those in the know! Best dirty vodka olive martini I've had since visiting Commander's Palace in NOLA; if you know, you know... the cornbread with honey butter was a phenomenal choice. We also raved over the wedge salad which had this curry crumble that honestly paired so well with the blue cheese and bacon, absolutely lovely take on an old classic while still being familiar and comforting. The lemon pasta dish (I don't recall the exact name) was perfect for a hot summer evening, it felt refreshing but also filling, probably one of the best pastas I've eaten this year in southern California. Thanks to Alanna we had the best time here, but everyone was so friendly and on top of their game! We will absolutely be back, and I look forward to trying some of their other specials and seasonal menu changes! ETA: I forgot about the beignets! A New Job, A New Milestone & A Chance to Rewrite the Narrative…read more My best friend and I have a tradition of celebrating new jobs with a nice dinner. Since this was her new job and a major milestone, I let her choose the restaurant. She had visited Bo-Beau last year but didn't get the full experience, so this was her chance to rewrite the narrative. And it was truly night and day. I researched the restaurant beforehand and was excited to see that Bo-Beau is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group, which I mostly associate with San Diego and South Orange County. After this experience, I really hope they're here to stay. I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating her new job, and for once, the restaurant actually read the note and acknowledged it. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was excellent. The hostess welcomed us downstairs, another staff member greeted us when we reached the rooftop, and our server quickly followed up. Then came the surprise: complimentary champagne for both of us. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially because those little celebratory touches seem to be increasingly rare. Our server was also patient with our questions and attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. We spent about 2.5 hours enjoying dinner and catching up over: Baked Brie Brussels Sprouts Steak Frites Everything was flavorful, and the entire experience felt relaxed, peaceful, and worth the price point. The food was great, but the hospitality is what earned the 5 stars for me. Real hospitality is paying attention to the guest, recognizing the occasion, and making people feel genuinely welcomed. My best friend got the celebration she wanted -- and a much better Bo-Beau experience this time around. Will definitely be returning!

Everyone I've encountered has been very nice, but sometimes it's the simple things, like showing that you're happy to serve your paying customers and making sure they feel taken care of. Each time I've visited, we've found ourselves waiting close to 30 minutes for our server to come by for refills, a to-go box, or even the check. I completely understand that mistakes happen and that things can get busy. I've worked in the restaurant industry before, so I really do try my best to be understanding. However, during one of my recent visits, my order came out incorrectly. There was an item on my plate that I had specifically requested not to have. Of course, mistakes happen, and I had no issue communicating the mistake to my server. What bothered me was that instead of apologizing for the error, she looked at me and simply walked away with the plate. I assumed it was a minor mistake and that she would have the order corrected. I could have just removed the item myself, but at the same time, I shouldn't have to pick through my food after receiving an incorrect order when I'm paying for it. When she brought the plate back, she simply left it on the table without saying anything or acknowledging the mistake. I actually found myself apologizing to her for making her do the extra work, and she just walked away. Overall, I really do think Luna is a great restaurant with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. I'm sharing this feedback because I think with some improvement in customer service, communication, and wait times, Luna has the potential to be even better. I would definitely come back, and I hope this feedback is taken as constructive criticism rather than anything negative.
