Just had date night last night for the Slow-roasted special Tri Tip. First, my partner and I are of the larger size and they sat us in one of the little 2 seater booths. All of their tables were taken with large groups. My sweetie was tight in his seat and uncomfortable. Next, out waitress was very friendly, but had just been seated a 10 top, already had a 6 and 4 top and had to add us. I think they were short staffed. When she took our order, she didn't know which entrees were included on the slow-roasted special or what it came with (2 sides and a pizookie). We both order salad and she asked if we want it out first and we said yes. Then proceeded to order 2 of the slow-roasted tri tips and sides. We then sat for a good 20 minutes before, surprise, our entrees arrived. No salads. We mentioned to the manager who delivered it that we hadn't received our salads yet, and he offered to take back the entrees and bring salads and remake the entrees, but we said no and to please bring our salads. The tri-tips were rare, which he likes, but I like it medium. The salads came and were good. When we were finishing up, the waitress came by to see if we wanted anything else and I had to inform her our meal came with pizookies and she then had to check. Came back and we ordered them to go. It took a while to get those as well. Normally, BJs is one of our favorite spots. But tonight was very disappointing. read more

I was with a party of 9 on a Friday evening. I was with a date and we were there 30 minutes early. We made our table request for a table and were told 45-50 minutes. So we went on to the bar to wait. The bar staff were friendly, but no Bushmills. I settled on something else and waited. At the 40 minute mark, we were told they were ready for us. It was a booth and that wouldn't work with our group. So we waited another 10 minutes and a table was ready. As we were sitting down, the staff dropped a drink which splattered on my open toes and my cast. As a couple of wait-staff began cleaning up the liquid, another dropped his tray with a loud bang. Three times during the meal, one of the waiters knocked into my chair. Of all of those incidents; one apology on a chair bump. The food was delivered with the expected confusion for a large party's order. All was quickly sorted out. A couple noted the pizzas were not really well cooked. The rest loved their meals. We ordered desserts and for some reason, one was brought to go (mine). (I guess they really wanted me to leave?) The billing was also a problem and took a couple of tries. Other than that, the server was attentive. Another note, the background music was quite loud which required all to have to talk loud. My ears were actually ringing when we left! Honestly have been to this BJs several times but this is the first time we have had the pleasure of meeting the AGM, Michael. He made recommendations from the menu that were delicious and was fun and engaging everytime he checked in on us. He even exchanged some hilarious (yet appropriate) jokes with our Grandson. This place used to be delicious! The economy and post-Covid has changed things however. I went this past week and the food was not palatable and poorly made. My large pizza looked like there wasn't enough cheese to even cover the top. My small pizza literally looked like piled up scraps from the garbage. I keep trying to give this place another chance, but they just keep dropping the ball. The food is usually great, but the service is absolutely awful almost every time. They understaff their servers, and it usually takes over 5 minutes for someone to check on you after you've been sat. When they do finally come, they're rarely cheerful. Walked in just before 10 tonight, and it was pretty slow. The hostess sleepily confirmed our count and took us to a table. We waited for nearly 10 minutes with no sign of a server. A young lady finally approached us - she didn't even try to smile, and almost seemed annoyed that she had a table. My daughter ordered root beer, they said they were out (what?), and we left. I'm officially done trying to deal with lousy service. We see the same people every time - why aren't they training their staff or replacing them? My team did a fundraiser here one night. They call them "spirit nights." The restaurant is a lot bigger than I expected. They have a bar area and a general dining area. Their menu is a bit overwhelming because there are SO many options. I couldn't figure out what I wanted because everything sounded amazing. They have gluten free options for those with a food allergy. I chose to get the ahi tuna salad. It was great! Light but filling! They actually give you a good amount of tuna. The food is decently priced and the portions are a good size. I would definitely recommend stopping in here. read more

Living 10+ years here and I've never been to any locations of this place. I wasn't expecting it to be really nice and cozy inside. However, the table setting (high tables) are sat very close together. It would be really awkward eating with your elbow reaching your neighbors table. We ordered their burger and chicken fried steak. Burger is good, huge and juicy with a side of wedge potatoes. It was very flavorful. My CFS however, is dry. It would've been really good if they sent out more gravy. Well, I'm going to have to drop my rating a couple of stars. In the past few weeks I have twice taken my team to lunch here. Both times the meal service was completely disinterested, slow, and somewhat random. Everyone's food arrived over a long period of time. The servers never said anything about why or when the food would be out. Drink refills were never offered nor was anyone ever asked if their meal was OK. On the most recent visit things were so bad I complained to the guy passing himself off as a manager. At first he denied anything had gone wrong. But then offered a big discount off the meal plus a gift card along with an admission of failed service. If it hadn't happened twice I would have let it go. But twice in a row means something is wrong and the rating needs to be revised. read more

Came here for lunch, their prices are good and there's tons of selection on the menu, took me a while to make a selection but I finalized on the half chicken club flat bread with salad for less than $8! The salad was a small portion, pretty simple paired with vinaigrette, the flatbread on the other hand wasn't so good, I think mainly because they flavored it with a lot of ranch sauce, too heavy and it overlaps the natural flavor of the chicken, avocado, and I believe bacon or pepperoni, I ended up having to wipe some of the ranch sauce off. Service was below average, we waited around a few times not being checked up on, but in their defense, lunch time is a packed house, also when they gave me my flatbread they accidentally swapped my order with a gentlemen from another table... Still gave it to me because apparently he hasn't touched it. Not the most appetizing start but I was starving, after the few waiting periods. I wouldn't recommend BJ's food to anyone, and their service isn't anything you can count on, i'm not a beer drinker and I noticed that's one of the things they're known for, but can't supply much input on that. I recommend coming here to try their hand crafted beers and pizookies. Bjs has such a diverse menu. From salads and quinoa bowls to pizzas, steaks, wings, pastas, and grilled cheese sandwiches; there's an option for everyone. I really enjoy eating their burgers with wedge fries but I heard their deep dish pizza is a good option as well. Their appetizers are pretty large so feel free to order one to eat as your entree. I recommend getting the grilled chicken flat bread pizza which comes with chicken, tomatoes, avocados, and bacon. As for their pizookies, they come in two sizes: regular and small. A small is about 3-4inches in diameter and is usually enough for around 3 people to share. My favorite would be the chocolate chunk or white chocolate macadamia nut pizookie but if it's your first time here and you're not quite sure what to get, they have a trio option which allows you to choose 3 different small pizookies with a scoop of icecream on each. Their service was not the best. The waiter seemed to be in a rush to give us our checks and only refilled our waters twice during our dine in even though we were out of water. We paid before dessert and didn't see our waiter after that, leaving us with no water when the pizookies came out. Pizookies tend to make you thirsty but because we never got refills, we left dehydrated. read more

I came across on their appetizer menu and saw their Honey Sriracha Brussels sprouts and I was so excited to try them, even on their Instagram said "it's not your average vegetable". I've been loving Brussel sprouts for few weeks now and so I had a pretty high expectations from this place too. The meal arrived on a perfect time and I took my first bite. The sprouts were cooked perfectly BUT there were no salt whatsoever. It tasted pretty bland but with the sauce they had on made it a bit more tasty but seriously just no salt. I had to grab the salt shaker from the table and put some more on top of it and it was delicious after that. I was planning to inform the server but it was a pretty packed night. While the people are nice, the kitchen process is a shambles. Figure this out if you will... "We'll start with the calamari". Simple enough I order steak and my wife orders clam chowder and wedge salad. Take a moment to predict the order in which the food should come out and how it did come out. Well, you'd expect the calamari to come first since it's an app. Since someone ordered a steak for their entree, you'd expect the other person to be eating their chowder and salad as their entree. Right? Wrong. Out comes the clam chowder and salad. So I tell my wife to start eating otherwise it'll go cold. The out comes the steak AND the calamari at the same time. Like WTF serious? So my steak is going to sit there and go cold while we eat our appetizer, or I have to mix eating both, and I didn't order surf and turf. The food and beers were fine, which is why I didn't doink the review down to 2 stars. Very disappointing. It's a shame management don't appear to read/respond to reviews here. I really like BJ's - for a chain, it offers good quality food, consistent service and an easy in-and-out dining experience. The menu is very extensive (ala Cheesecake Factory) and probably could be edited down. That is, if everyone else is like me and tends to order mostly the same things every time they visit. The other thing that's nice about this location is the large dining room that somehow balances offering lots of seating without becoming impossibly loud. read more

This review is solely for the PIZZOKIEE. BJ's has a huge selection of food on their menu but I haven't eaten off of it in years so I won't comment on it. I mainly come here for their pizzokies! Fresh out the oven, warm and oooey-gooey, paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream . May seem simple, and yes you could easily make it at home, but what fun is there in that?! I love coming in for a quick dessert or when I'm craving something extra sweet because the pizzokie just does the job. Service has always been fast and friendly - they'll get you in and out with your craving satisfied. One pizzokie is definitely enough for two people - it's so sickly sweet that if you try to finish one alone you might end up hating yourself . I usually get the original chocolate chip pizzokie but they have many other cookie flavors for you to choose from and even a flight option if you want to try more than one at a time in manageable portions. Just here to say their famous Pizookies weren't as great as it was advertised. They were overly rich and melted the ice cream too quickly. Not my kind of place, but my friends won't choose where to get dessert next time without gold research. I went here for a nice cold beer and some pizza, but ended up with beer and burger. The burgers looked so good, I had to try one with a wedge salad to boot. And glad I did. The blue cheese dressing on the salad had a bit of sweetness to it. I loved it. My partner ordered the pizza and it was tasty. We were there on a crowded fathers day, but still received fast seating and great service. Lucky there were only 2 of us because some of the large families where waiting for quite a while.
