After a long week, some ice cold beer was in order. I knew my husband would enjoy the large, no nonsense selection of food, too. In comparison to Yard House, a similar concept, BJ's is more family-oriented and less trendy. Yard House usually has 50 or so craft beers, while BJ's focuses more on their own beers and only offers a few craft beers. We arrived around 6:15pm and as such, we were able to order drinks at the happy hour pricing. I really enjoyed the IPA brewed by BJ's. We shared a deep dish pizza. Although we were turned off by the pricing - $23 for a large! - I have to admit the pizza was quite good. Unlike traditional Chicago deep dish, the crust has a nice, lightly crunch cook on the outside. The dough and fillings make up a light & fluffy inside. A large is easily splittable by 4 people- or you can take home leftovers like we did. Our server was great! Very attentive, friendly, and frankly one of the best personalities from a server I've had in a long time. He was really honest about his preference on menu items, which I love from a server. Since I've never had a bad meal or poor service at BJ's and their menu covers many bases, I'll go 5 Stars. I should eat here more. We had the tavern cut spicy pig pizza and split it for lunch. It checked all my taste boxes! Think cracker, pizza and jalapeño pain pills. BJ's has good food...not just pub-grub. We sit in the bar because there is often no wait. The service is pretty good as long as enough waiters. Their beer dinners are fun and often less than other breweries. Their signature pizookie with ice cream is wonderful...several flavors and two sizes. We had issues with our server tonight. He greeted us about 10 minutes after being sat. The pazookie we ordered first came out burnt and with a hair. I had to get out of my seat and bring the plate to my server to ask for a new one, his response was "Ok." No apologies or any emotion. I asked for their manager and Ms. Hailey saved our experience. She was so professional and understanding. She not only said more than one word, but fixed the problem. We need more managers like her! Hailey deserves some recognition. read more

Really good date night place! The food is always good, and there's a really sweet manager that always comes around when I'm there. It's cheap and good for 2-6 people, but having a large group is a bit of a hassle because they won't seat you without the whole group being there. Your experience is almost solely dependent on the server you get. I've gotten servers that can't be bothered by you in the slightest, and I've gotten fantastic servers that go amazingly above what's expected of them. The food is alway good, can't recommend the pizookies enough, but there needs to be consistency on the server you get. read more

We've dined at BJ's before (all in California), so we thought the quality would be good here too. We were so wrong. Our food was cold and chicken was like rubber. My wife and I got the parmesan crusted chicken and waiter claimed it was one of the best. It was nasty! The potatoes were like a hard scoop of dried cold glue, our broccoli was cold and soggy and hardly had any flavor/seasoning. Waiter hardly came by at all and as a result service was excessively slow. I know COVID makes things more difficult, but we won't be eating here again when so many other places are better! I'd rather help a good place to eat stay open. Start to finish our waiter was on point. We started out with mozzarella sticks and the Wisconsin cheese curds. Hubbs and I had beers. Jeremiah Red and the Dallas Blonde. Kids kept it low key with a bubbly sprite and just what the Dr. ordered, that's right, D.P. We placed our order shortly after. Appetizers were brought out fast. Both chowed down in a blink of an eye. Our main meals arrived and they were all cooked to satisfaction. Fresh, hot, delicious. We finished our meal with a chocolate chip pazookie. So good that momma bear got left about 2 spoons of it that pretty much was at the melted state. Can't lie, it was still good. The famous deep dish pizza was okay tonight. It was pretty dry and we could barely tell cheese was present. The sauce on our spaghetti and meatballs was pretty good. If we came back i would be happy to have a dish that includes this sauce. It won't be the meatballs though. Their meatballs are okay but the meat to bread crumb ratio is off, not enough meat. We did have good service and a couple of really good beers. I liked the red and he liked the stout. There are several to choose from. Get some samples to see which is your fav. I have had some really terrific meals here in the past but this was not one of them. :( the ahi poke is a favorite of mine. I may have stick with it or a dish similar. Happy dining! read more

Deep dish Pizza had a funny smell like a dirty mildewy dish towel. Perhaps they used a dirty towel to dry the pizza pan. We smelled it at the table and again when we heated the leftovers at home. We usually go to BJs 2-3 times per month. We won't order pizza again. read more

I've had delivery from BJs twice now. Both times I ordered the Mediterranean tacos, and both times they've been delicious. Food was securely packaged for delivery and consistently GOOD! Its served with a dinner salad and a couscous kind of side dish which was also tasty. I will definitely be ordering from them again soon! read more

My second trip to this location, worse than the first. This time I went at 4:00 PM. There were about 3 tables occupied and two host. The two host were engaged with another customer, who had walked in just before me, for five minutes while I waited to be seated. I left. This visit is very similar to the first a few months ago, which I did not review. I ordered a sunset peach tea and when I got it had no peach taste. I told our server, Holly, who simply replied " I promise I saw them put three pumps in. Again, I said "I don't taste any peach". If you are looking for the freshest, tasty crispy chicken tender salad (crispy chicken salad) , look no further! I can't believe a Brewhouse salad is ten times better than the restaurants such as Cheddars, Chile's, 54th Street etc. The tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce are cut to perfect ratio so every bite you get a little of all. We also ordered sliders and sides and all the food was delish! Go BJ's - as long as you keep making that Salad, you have a customer for life! I was not impressed with their menu It's too confusing to sit through page after page cause after a while, everything looks the same. The person that set us just gave us the menus and vanished.
