Came here with my husband yesterday and really enjoyed it. I really like that they have the sauce combo recipes posted on the wall in case you don't want to blindly experiment. They have a lot of ingredients to choose from to add to your bowl. We came in the middle of a Monday afternoon, so it wasn't busy and the service was quick. I definitely prefer this over YC's. The only thing that would have made it better would be if the chili oil was spicier and the bowls you build your dish in were a little bigger so the noodles don't hangout the sides.

This place is the worst place to get Mongolian! The noodles are gross they used chow mein noodles. They were sticky and tasted horrible! It was non edible! The place was clean, vegetables seem fresh. Don't waste your money here they can't even get the noodles right! Not to mention oh I cannot give you a to go box that is an additional .25 cents. My daughter was ok with the rice noodles. Service was fine!

No complaints here!!! Service was amazing. Gisselle especially really set the tone for the entire transaction.

Ask the Community - Blazin Mongolian BBQ

What's the rule for the bowls, can you build them as high as you want?

Yes anything you can fit in the bowl pack it as high as you want.

Is this all you can eat?

Yes that’s an option it includes rice, soup, drink, and ice cream for $14.75.

Since it's create your own, what's stopping anyone from just making a beef only bowl?

We do not restrict what or how much of any ingredient you put in the bowl. However in my opinion having a variety of ingredients will make a much more enjoyable meal.

I loved every bite and literally crave this place!…read more Super easy concept you just grab a bowl, load it up with noodles, meats, veggies and whatever toppings look good to you then hand it to the cook and they throw it on the big grill right in front of you. There are so many good sauce selections to choose from and they all sound good, so I feel like you can't go wrong. I asked for help w/ the sauce and they put me on, it was perfect !! Everything came out sooo flavorful and tasted amazing. Just add some siracha for that heat and you're set! If you're in the area, def check it out !

A couple of friends and I went to YCs in Tempe and being first-timers, we wanted to learn more…read moreabout their bar flow processes of arranging our Mongolian bowls. As someone that's used to having Mongolian BBQ, I know different restaurants flow differently. Here's what to know: * Diners pre-pay for their bowls (small or large) right at walk-in. Past restaurants I've gone to handle payment after dining so this was different. * You take your bowl and begin building it with the noodles and toppings you desire as you go down the line. It's pretty simple. However, here's where a newcomer can question something -- their house/specialty sauces. They are labeled on the bar glass overhead but the labeling can be confusing to see on the bar to know if/when you're choosing the right sauces and some sauces are or may be new to a diner that is not familiar with its ingredients. If you get stuck on this, just ask the staff to help you. * Personally for me, anytime I have Mongolian I always ask the cook to first clean the grills before cooking my bowl to ensure two things: (1) If someone has a topping that you either don't like or maybe allergic to, cleaning the grills beforehand helps you (AND) (2) It gives you peace of mind knowing your food is being cooked on a cleaned hibachi grill rather than mixing your bowl's contents with other diners contents and seasonings. Asking the cooks to clean the grills beforehand helps before they cook your bowl is not a burden to them -- they are happy to clean it beforehand. The restaurant has a dark aesthetic ambiance which might feel a little dull but there is outdoor seating depending on the location, so there is that option. However, separating this from the dining experience is key because the food is flavorful based on your own preferences. It's a great place to enjoy for casual dining. YC locations are Gilbert, Scottsdale, Tempe/Phoenix. Happy grilling!

I used to go to the one in Tempe on Southern and McClintock a lot pre-Covid and was sad when that location closed down. When my boba sistah suggested this spot for a lunch I was excited to try this location out. The restaurant is a few doors down from the Sweetwaters shop, on the opposite end. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the shaded patio is quite lovely. You pick your size bowl, and whether you want soft serve for lunch (I think it's included for dinner). The large bowl is only $1 more than the small so I went big, as I didn't want to go home. The meats are thinly shaved and frozen so don't be afraid to pile it on your bowl. Push it all down with the paper that is offered next to the meats and then pile on your vegetables, noodles and sauces. I appreciate that they have tried and true sauce mix recipes but I usually go rogue and create my own with varying results. My mixture of YCs own, orange sauce, garlic, ginger, Thai peanut, and curry was decent but probably could have used some more YCs sauce or soy sauce to balance out the more sweet flavors. Oh well you live and you learn! I also didn't realize they have sesame oil as well as chili oil right next to the sauces so layer that in if you'd like. At the counter they have more chili oil bottles and sesame seeds if you'd like to finish your bowl with those toppings. Rice (white and brown), 2 types of soup and wonton crisps are also offered at a little stand you'll see after getting your cooked bowl. I enjoyed both the YCs signature soup (A chicken and veggie concoction) and the spicy beef. Drinks consist of fountain sodas and various iced teas. Since I had a towering mountain of protein and vegetables I was stuffed after eating half of it so I got a to go box ($.50). I figure it will be good for dinner or for the next day. Service at the register, grill counter and clearing our plates was very friendly and pleasant. I'm a fan of this location! If I lived closer I'd be here more often but when I'm in the area this will be a great place for a design-your-own stir-fry meal.

Read the owners attempts to make everyone wrong who has a poor experience below and then threatens them with legal action, which is illegal! So I am expressing my disappointment with the treatment and overall experience I had at this restaurant. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in, the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. To begin, the restaurant itself was in very poor condition. There was spilled liquid on the floor with a wet floor sign placed over it, but no effort was made to clean it up. Flies were present, and despite the restaurant being nearly empty, there were very few clean tables available for customers. At the register, I was prompted by screen to enter my phone number for your rewards program. While I was in the process of doing so, the cashier, the brunette employee wearing glasses, abruptly cleared the screen and told me that there was no rewards program and that I didn't know what I was talking about. This was both dismissive and unprofessional. As my friend and I proceeded through the buffet line, the same employee stood across from us and closely watched every item we placed in our bowls. This behavior felt intrusive, uncomfortable, and unwelcoming. The situation escalated further when I prepared my sauce in a bowl and added my noodles into it so they could absorb the sauce. The employee loudly reprimanded me, stating that noodles were only allowed to be placed on top of the other bowl, not inside the sauce. This seemed arbitrary and unnecessary, especially given that we had both purchased large bowls and did not take advantage of other included items such as drinks beyond water, soup, rice, or dessert. Being spoken to in that manner over something so trivial was frustrating and embarrassing. It felt as though the focus was on policing customers rather than providing a clean, welcoming, and professional dining environment. I have attached photos showing the condition of the restaurant and the lack of attention to cleanliness and customer service. It is concerning that more attention was given to monitoring customers' food choices than to maintaining the restaurant or assisting guests appropriately. I strongly encourage your team to reevaluate staff training, customer service standards, and cleanliness protocols at this location. This experience fell far below what should be expected from your brand.

For whatever reason, Chinese restaurants in Arizona serve egg hockey pucks and cover it with various items and call it egg foo young. I even asked about it before I ordered it. Alas when I got home and saw what I had, I was disappointed. It's faster to make it this way but the egg hockey puck had no taste - zero. They could have at least added oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, maybe nam plah, and perhaps sesame oil. It was tasteless. A complete miss. I also ordered something simple, shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious! I inhaled them and will order them again. I'd go again just for the spring rolls. Maybe they have other dishes that are good and I may not entirely give up but the egg foo young is a no go.

First off, the concept is elite--you build your own bowl like a culinary mastermind. Want noodles? Done. Extra meat? Obviously. Way too many sauces because you got overconfident? No judgment here (we've all been there). Then they take your chaotic masterpiece and toss it on a giant sizzling grill like it's dinner and a live performance. The cooks? Absolute legends. Watching them work that grill is like witnessing a mix between a chef and a DJ--flipping, chopping, spinning your food like it's a hit track. And somehow, no matter how questionable your sauce combinations were, it comes out tasting incredible. Portions are huge, prices are fair, and the vibe is always fun and laid-back. It's the kind of place where you accidentally eat way too much and then immediately start planning your next visit. YC's isn't just food--it's an experience. A delicious, slightly overstuffed, "why did I add that last scoop?" kind of experience. 10/10, would build a ridiculous bowl again.
