Lupe helped us from the start and was so very helpful. She made me and my wife feel like family. She immediately offered to help walk us through each step of the way because she wanted to make sure we really enjoyed our first experience there. She shared why that was important to her and kept on guiding my wife and I on each step to make our plate the style we would she recommended based on a description we had given. This restaurant was great! They had so many fresh options to choose from to add to your bowl! Including 4 different types of meat, every vegetable you could think of, 3 different types of noodles, and 8 different sauces! They even had complimentary bowls of fried, brown and white rice you can help yourself to, along with two different types of soups. They also have a self serve ice cream machine for when you're done with your tasty bowl. Very clean and the service was great. In the area and wanted some non fast food. Googled the area and found this place. Upon arrival I noticed a customer taking noodles out of the tins with the tongs provided then also using her hands. I informed the staff at the counter because I was just getting ready to pay and now was getting ready to turn and leave (possibly run) yet she assured me she would handle it and seemed just as appalled as I was. In that moment I decided to go with it and just not get those noodles. Once done paying she went over and removed all the noodles that the person had touch or used and apologized again. She was a very sweet girl. I had no idea what I was doing and occasionally she offered assistance, if needed. When I got to the sauce she told me what I may like or needed to know. It was extremely helpful! Now I ordered the unlimited veggie bowl ... I thought it would shrink and since it's all veggies I may want more.... wrong!!! I was soooo full after 1/4 of the bowl!! I would rethink this if going to order, because you can't take leftovers home. My only recommendation has to do with my own personal preference. On the noodles... the chow main noodles I would ask for them to be cooked a tad long so they are softer. We are new to the area and like to every weekend go out and try some food. I was craving Mongolian bbq and this definitely satisfied all of our cravings! It is a great place that really accommodates any food allergy you have (gluten, peanuts, and peas). They really protected our allergies, which is somewhat rare when we go out to eat. The owner was extremely friendly, conversational, and helpful. He really went out of his way to help us and so did his employees. They have good prices for what your meal includes, also when we went it was buy one get one free! The meal included your bowl, rice, and a drink all of which we got to go. Something about stir-frying of meats on a large spinning iron mechanism doesn't sound too sanitary, but it sure was interesting. My coworkers and I decided to give this place a try one day and had a very interesting experience. The place was a little dirty, but was very spacious with plenty of natural lighting. The staff was friendly and kind. The first thing you do is pay at the front, it is ridiculously expensive for the quality they offer. The value is not worth it, trust me. After you pay, you get your bowl and you start loading it up with noodles, veggies, frozen rolled up meats of all kinds. You than dump some sauce of your choice on it, and you finally take it to the spinning iron mechanism, where the chef cooks your creation in front of you. My creation wasn't too bad, but definitely not worth what I had to pay, and one of my coworkers creation went all wrong. It seemed simple enough, noodles with frozen rolled up beef and some broccoli and some baby corn and carrots. But that creation literally went right through him.....and fast! Not even 5 minutes after he finished eating it, like the releasing of the river in the LOTR two towers movie, he shatted himself with no warning. He suffered that day... No... we all suffered that day, riding in the car back to the office was torture. Mind you it was a good long drive, that day the heavens tested us with all the traffic lights against us, a few car accidents slowing down the commute, some road construction, everything... ever rode in a car with someone that shatted themselves? Not pleasant at all... Overall quite an experience, however coworkers and I decided we shall not be back. read more

Although if you don't know what sauces and how much to put on your bowl...it could lack in flavor or visa versa. My suggestion is the MORE the BETTER, because the grill cooks off any wateriness in the sauce. Anyway give it a try. You'll get better with practice. *My advice: put lots of the garlic & ginger sauces, maybe a spoonful (or two or even three!) of either the Blazin Mongolian sauce or the House sauce or even the Spicy Thai. I've been eating here over 20 years. The prices have gone up a bit, but so have costs. What keeps me coming back is the fantastic food. The current owner added new vegetables to the selections that offer more variety. I had take out about a week ago and went back Monday. I was so sad to see the temporary closure sign during Covid-19. I always ask for them to clean the Grill before they cook my food as I can not eat spicy foods including Jalapeños, usually they do a good job, but today the cook just scrapped the grill not cleaned it properly, he said it is fine when I questioned the cleanliness of it, qnd I told him I can't have anything spicy, he cooked my food on the scrapped grill, and I can taste the spiciness in my food, hopefully I don't get sick again likeI have in the past from using an unclean grill. read more

We had gluten, soy, and dairy allergies in our group (all actual allergies, not preferences). We were immediately impressed when the hostess had a reference card identifying which ingredients contained which allergens. She even provided a bright red tray for the allergen customers so the chefs would know not to cross-contaminate. They have gluten-free noodles which aren't terrible tasting! The hostess even brought out a fresh bowl of GF noodles to ensure no cross-contamination had occurred in the food line. They have a wide variety of ingredients, all of which appeared fresh and tasted great. The cooks saw the red trays coming and set off to thoroughly scrubbing down one of the two grills and all the associated cooking tools. After we got our cooked food back, they even saved the allergen grill for us to make a second pass without having to clean it again. We were extra pleased when we wandered over to the ice cream machine for dessert, and the hostess darted over to tell us that it wasn't allergen-compatible with some of our party. That saved a few people from having hours of painful post-meal stomach cramps. Great job! ---------- We've gone back several times since the above first visit. The food continues to be excellent. A couple of the staff haven't been as allergen-aware as the first hostess, but we discovered they have a full allergen compatibility chart on their website. read more

And that the only portion control is that of the size of the bowl. If you want to put in a lot of something you can put it on in there. The owner was working when we showed up and he took the time to explain the system to us, and told us about different options for making our food. He also pointed out their different sauce recipes and I have to say- the sauces were probably the best part. My wife wanted to buy the garlic sauce to cook with at home. The choices of fresh veggies, meat and noodles was very vast and they had a great choice of sauces, including vegan sauces (perfect for my vegan child). If you want the vegan house sauce, just ask they keep it separate to not cross contaminate. There was a large choice of drinks and even ice cream. Better then I have gotten in San Diego. Definitely one of my favorite spots. New owner has definitely spiced things up and given the place a few improvements. The inside is very spacious and has enough room to eat comfortably. There is a great variety of meats and vegetable ingredients to choose from that are absolutely complimented with their sauces. The soups they offer are alright, I find them to be a bit too salty for my liking. The fried rice is a bit bland, and something I rarely indulge. Regardless, their main item is so good and so filling that I'm never left in disappointment, so I give those items a pass. Great food for a great price! I was greeted by the New Owner who rang me up.... this whole set up was kind of confusing to me & I told him it was my 1st time. One of the best Mongolian places I've been in Phoenix. You can either get a single bowl that comes with a drink + ice cream or an unlimited bowl with the same. Only about $3 difference in price. You build your own noodles with the meat, veggies & sauce. Then they cook it on the wok right in front of you & you can get rice with it as well included.
