The breakfast/brunch at Blossom Cafe is definitely worth the hype. First tip- make a reservation. Despite arriving at 9:30 on a Sunday to see more than 50% of the tables empty, we had to wait about 15min as the open tables were all reserved. Despite a short wait, the service was friendly and quick - once we were seated and ordered, the food came out very fast. The vibe/ambiance is impressive given that this location used to be an Irish pub, but now has an understated cutesy feel. Now on to the food. We ordered the Korean egg drop sando (spicy beef bulgogi breakfast sandwich- also available mild) which was delicious. My only critique is that all the beef is centered in the middle of the sandwich so you have to be strategic with your bites in order to avoid having crust-only mouthfuls. The sandwich was flavorful, balanced, and the side of fries complimented it perfectly. Would highly recommend. We also tried the seasonal flavor of the souffle pancake which was apple crumble. It had the exact fluffy, light jiggle you'd expect. Not being a huge apple fan, I still very much enjoyed this flavor. The pancakes themselves were pillowy, almost like eating giant marshmallows (but without an overly artificial sweet taste). The dish was delicious, but not very filling since the pancakes are so light. Our consensus was that the souffle pancakes make a great appetizer to share with the table, but aren't quite enough as a personal meal. All in all, I will definitely be back to try some other menu items. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that the cost adds up quickly and the portions are not very large. You're spending on quality rather than quantity, but I would've liked a few more bites for the price. read more

The freshly squeezed orange juice in the green tangerine matcha was refreshing but the flavor clashed and the pieces of orange got stuck in the straw. The in blossom cocktail was deliciously sweet and perfect for folks with sensitive taste buds to alcohol. The ice matcha latte was light and subtle on the matcha. The soufflé pancakes are AMAZING. Fluffy with the right amount of sweetness. The Hong Kong toast is beautifully toasted and has a great mouthfeel and savory nuttiness from the peanut butter. Took an hr commute to check this place out, the interior of the restaurant is aesthetically beautiful! Just a bit sad the aesthetic didn't match the taste of the food. My friend got the bulgogi breakfast sandwich and I got the karage and waffles w/mac salad. The bulgogi sandwich w/side cucumber kimchi which didn't have much meat but tasted good, and the karage w/the waffles was just okay. I liked my Mac salad more than the main. I got the mocktail spirited away ($14) which was watered down yuzu, but was saved by the delicious matacha clementine drink! Absolutely delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere. Love the wide range of interesting menu options, and everything I've tried so far has been super fresh and well made. Karaage chicken and waffles featured small fried chicken pieces with a tiny bit of spice, on top of crispy flower-shaped waffles with a little sweetness to them. Great contrast between sweet, salty and spicy. Japanese souffle pancakes (first time ever trying these) were SO light, like clouds, served with a strawberry whipped topping, ice cream (!) and fresh fruit. These are made with a meringue that's made to order, so they take a few minutes longer to arrive. Hong Kong french toast was so different than regular french toast, and really filling. Layers of bread are soaked in eggs and milk, sandwiched with peanut butter into a tower, then fried as one big square and covered in sweetened condensed milk. So yummy! Avocado toast was really impressive - the bread was so fresh, the proportion of avocado to bread was generously huge, and the pickled onions on top were some of the best I've had. The Godfather brekkie sando (sausage, egg, roasted pepper, provolone) was a pleasant surprise - I am pretty fussy about sausage and I really liked this version. The roll was again super fresh and flavorful - I love to see restaurants that don't skimp on quality. Drinks have been delicious as well -- mimosas were made with fresh OJ and plenty of prosecco, bloody mary perfectly balanced spice and flavor, strawberry lemonade was fun and refreshing, and the alcohol-free No-hito (based on a mojito) was so yummy and full of fresh mint. Visited the Blossom Cafe yesterday with my friends for Brunch and I instantly fell in love with the place. I loved the atmosphere, the decor, and most importantly the Coffee! I had a latte with Agave, which was delicious. When we placed the order for the coffees, it did take a while to get them. However, it was worth the wait. I have sensitivities to gluten and dairy and was able to swap sourdough for the brioche bun in the Western Sando which was incredible. I loved their take on fusion brunch. I visited with my family and children this past weekend and we were delighted with the space and its warm, inviting atmosphere. It has an open concept with modern aesthetic decor, as well as beautiful greenery that gives it a very cozy feel. We had a surprise birthday party last Saturday in the private room at Blossom cafe in Simsbury. The room comfortably held 26 people. Albert and his crew did an amazing job setting up the room with decorations for us and served a delicious brunch.
