I was really looking forward to a solid boba fix, but this was a massive disappointment. The boba itself was completely stale and hard on the inside, which usually means it's been sitting out for way too long. Worse than the texture was the flavor. The pearls had a bitter taste to them, almost like they weren't rinsed properly or were contaminated by whatever cleaning agent was used on the equipment. I couldn't take more than two sips before throwing the whole thing in the trash. Total waste of money. Definitely won't be coming back here. read more

I am always looking for a new boba/tea place and this one has been on my radar after reading a few reviews on yelp. It's located next to Lee's Coffee so it was easy to find. My favorite season is here!! The Mango season!! We ordered the mango matcha with mango cream, mango sticky rice with mango cream and the mango coco all at less than 50% sugar and this place continues to wow me (sorry was too excited to even snap a picture of my drinks). This is actually my favorite place to get boba. They really serve their drinks with quality ingredients always. Even their other drinks are delicious. Been coming here ever since they opened and they still produce quality drinks till now. Service is fast, and the staff is always friendly. They will answer your questions politely always. Can even ask for recommendations if you're overwhelmed with the options. They also have some pastries which I haven't tried yet. Service: I never had a bad experience with the service and the drinks always come out so good and perfect. Even when we adjust or customize the drinks they still make it good. Drinks: They add real ingredients on their drinks and use high quality matcha. It doesn't taste like a really processed drink or like an artificial/fake matcha. The seasonal drinks are also so creative and never disappoint. Pastries: The cookies taste homemade and fresh. They always come up with cool recipes and unique flavors that you normally don't see in other cafes. The ferrero ranchero cookie was my personal favorite. The banana cream was incredibly thick and rich, tasting like actual banana (none of that artificial aftertaste you get elsewhere). The matcha itself was earthy and not overly sweet--exactly how it should be. Then came the Coffee Dalgona--strong, bold, and beautifully balanced. It's funny because it's a few doors down from another boba tea shop! Immediately when I walked in through the door, I could smell the fresh matcha and honey in the air. Their menu is quite extensive with lots of options to choose from. The drinks range from exquisite matcha to tasty fruit teas to egg drinks. You can adjust the sweetness and what kind of toppings you want. The boba is cooked perfectly. The price is extremely fair too. The place itself is not too big but it's a nice cozy spot to do some work or hang out with a few friends. Biscoff earl grey milk 5/5, not too sweet, excellent temperature not too hot and was able to drink immediately, thick foam on top, tastes primarily of earl grey w cinnamon and vanilla, traces of biscoff, mainly in foam Matcha-misu 4.5/5, this was soft and creamy with a ladyfingers hidden on the bottom. The matcha flavor is really present throughout though it's a bit rich in sweetness. Smoky Hot Chocolate 3.5/5, I wanted to love this. The hot chocolate is standard itself and it's covered with a very thick marshmallow layer that I had thought was foam but is actually super thick marshmallow top. We both got a version of the banana pudding with coffee and matcha, which was a perfect balance of dessert and coffee you could have at the same time. I visited BLTea after seeing one of my favorite food influencers post about it. I tried the Ube Mango Sticky Rice and the Corn Latte without dairy. I will say, upon walking in, the woman at the register immediately and abruptly asked what we wanted to order. We didn't even have a second to look at the menu, which extremely confusing. Rather than take that as an opportunity to ask if we needed help or explain the menu, she simply walked off for us to figure it out on our own. I was told that my order number would be called and to pick it up in the back. I didn't hear my order number called, so went to check in the back. I saw what I thought was my order but the corn latte was matcha, not coffee, which I specified. The woman working near the back was not friendly and kind of grumbled when inquired about my order. I went back to the front to get my correct drink and they did make a new one for me. Unfortunately the drink had no corn flavor at all. All I tasted was oat milk. Apparently the cream that's used in the drink has corn flavor, so I guess by eliminating it (to avoid dairy) I lost the flavor. They asked if I wanted more corn juice to pump up the flavor. I did, and surprisingly had to pay for it. Honestly it helped a little, but the drink really wasn't great. The mango sticky rice was soft, fresh and delicious though! I loved it, though my husband was not a fan. He said it had no sweetness. All in all, I probably would not return. Some of the staff were kind of rude and grumpy, and it was quite expensive. The cashier working when I went in (she had bleached eyebrows and a medium/tan complexion) was extremely rude from the moment I walked up to the counter. What made the situation more frustrating was that I tried to order ube cream, which was clearly listed on the menu, and she told me no. There was no explanation or effort to help at all.
