Despite this, the AYCE menu includes a huge variety of options like dim sum, baos, Korean and Chinese dishes, tofu, vegies, and more.... We ordered a few meat dishes, and each one was fresh, tender, and good portioned. The service was excellent--quick, friendly, and attentive, with frequent table clean-ups. We ordered via an iPad so our food came out pretty quick. The restaurant itself was clean plus each person gets their own individual pot, which is a great way to make the broth the way you want. An interesting variant on the Shabu Shabu hot pot restaurant format. The staff is friendly and helpful to newcomers, orienting them to the iPad tablet based menu and food ordering system. Several pricing options are available, offering great flexibility, depending on your preferences and budget. Food offerings include the usual hot pot selections with some limitations, such as the unavailability of salmon. This is partially compensated for by addition of various dim sum options, mostly under the same AYCE rules. Unlimited soda drinks and a variety of sauces and condiments are available at a self-service area near the front of the restaurant. Also available there are small bowls and utensils such as spoons, forks, ladles, and strainers. The ambiance is clean, efficient, and modern. However, there is strict enforcement of a 90-minute limit on food ordering, as the iPad app refuses to issue new orders once time is up. It does not give any obvious warning of the impending shutdown, it just suddenly refuses to proceed. In addition, there are possible schedule limitations that restrict diners to even less time. I witnessed a group of 4 women, who arrived perhaps an hour before closing of lunch hours at 2pm. They were dismayed that the iPad ordering shut down completely at the designated end of lunch time. Note that the ordering shutdown doesn't mean that you are ejected at 2pm. You can remain and finish your food, but simply cannot order any more. Thus, I recommend that you "do your homework" by examining and thinking through the food choices in advance, so you can decide and act quickly once the clock starts ticking away. I took the precaution of ordering some crab and crab legs before the timeout, but did not take the time to consume them "on the clock", and cracked them open and enjoyed them mostly after the timeout. I forfeited the dessert options of 4 ice cream flavors, but did order a couple of sweet dim sum options just before timeout. Note that ordering too much food and wasting it uneaten is strongly frowned upon, and may result in a penalty surcharge. Know your food preferences and limits! Do your homework and come prepared! Last seat at 1.30pm and last order 1.45pm. They would pull out tablet so the customers could not order anymore. The server placed the bill at 1.55pm and said no rush. The servers were so sweet and attentive, it's not their fault-- the food was just not it for me.. even for the discounted price, which beware, if you come on the weekend there is no AYCE-including-meat deal-- that's only on weekdays. Ordering 3 cheaper meats, it came out to about $85 with tip for two people. One of the meats we had was kind of stinky in the not-fresh way.. one of the meats was good, and the other was kind of oddly chewy but seemed fresh enough. I'm a big fish ball person and I think the fish ball selection here is okay, kind of mid. They definitely don't have the nicer fish balls you might see at happy lamb or spring shabu. Dim sum is indeed included in AYCE but it's pretty poor quality too, which I was expecting for an AYCE place but I feel like I can get better quality frozen dim sum from Hmart unfortunately. The sauce bar was also not the best in my opinion, the sesame/peanut paste was clumpy and my sauce ended up tasting really oily and bland but that's kind of my fault- I added soy sauce and it got better. The broth was fine, I like that you can get a split broth if you're deciding between two flavors! They allowed only 90 minutes and by the time we got the soup to boil, we only had a short amount of time to enjoy the food. We were charged an extra $10 per person for meat and seafood. We did order the meat and it was very good quality thick slices. Our kids enjoyed the mango sago bun and rhe yolk lava buns. The unlimited soda was also a hit with them. We ended up getting the membership for $30 foe the year and saved $10 off the extra meat and seafood we ordered and they also apply the $30 credit to our next visit. What is more, if I do not charge this 20 dollar annual fee I actually need to pay 3.95 not 1.95 for one meat. the label has 3.95 crossed out and has a big 1.95 when you see them, but you actually need to pay 3.95. And there is no sign saying that you need to pay annual fee to get this price and there is even no sign saying when you sign up you need to pay this annual fee!! I know it by asking them because I see my 4 dollar labeled charge added to be 9 dollar in total. The label is very confusing! This is cheating on consumers. Highly not recommend if you are only coming here one time and not planning to pay this annual fee. Second, they are not labeling the total price I need to pay which is not clear to customers how much they ordered, which in my case is a bad surprise when I see the paycheck. 3, about food : The egg and meat does not seems to be very fresh. This place was a horror show. They advertised "all you can eat". But all the meat they charge a separate fee. That's is probably why they don't sell much of it, making it not too fresh and turning black in color. The place was very filthy, flies flying around the uncovered sauce mixing area. The ladles that are left out has old food and vegetables stuck to it, when we told the waiter, he simply said "oh no" and walked away without replacing it with new clean ones. All the dim sum they offered were frozen dim sum you would find at an Asian market and they just simply heated back up. The soda tasted bad yet there was only two favor that was operational, they didn't even have a simple cup of hot tea. Also, they try to make us pay for a "member fee of $30" to get a couple dollars off meat items, everything about this place felt like a SCAM. Who in the world charges a fee to become a member of a restaurant? All the soup base tasted like they took a bag of powder soup base from an instant noodle packet and split it between four pots. I should've know the moment I walked in and everyone sitting in the restaurant had an expression like they were SCAM, blank faces. Please only recommend this place to people you hate. read more

This is late review but I was here the third night they opened. I went with three of my mates. Let me preload by saying, I am pretty typical standard palette when it comes to authentic foods and have become standardized to the "American style" of those types and generes from all different ethnic foods Now, simply this is a 10/10. You walk in, nice ambiance, nice atmosphere but service and professional hospitality is apparent. It is truly meant to feel like an independent experience and the staff all take their time, to casually ask you how you are and explain the basic style of ordering and pay structure. Recommendations are made and there is no sense of being rushed or moved along. The food comes relatively quick and is fresh, especially when I say I have an American pallete everything here is on point. Dozens of options and hot pot with very reasonable priced options (meats and seafood, not cooked yet) to be added. Throughout the meal, you are checked up on, offering sauce suggestions and made sure if looking for something in the restaurant, that you are greeted and led in the proper direction. Our waitress (I do forget names, but was a nice Latin younger woman) the manager (a younger tall asian American man) who greeted us, the service workers who brought us the food and talked with us. And also a shout out to (not our server, but came and put a mix of flavor sauces together for me) we're all great. You either love hot pot or you don't. But I think this place suits both with an absolutely massive "off hot pot" menu. They have bibimbap, dumplings, buns, tempura, chicken wings and so many other delicious choices to choose and start from. Safe to say you're going be eating good. I thought all the dishes were delicious and the meats, veggies and seafood were very fresh. A few worthy notes that need to be mentioned: 1. Service was horrible, I've never felt more stressed at a restaurant. The hostess was really nice but the people bringing you your food were aggressive and rude! Once you order from the tablet no one knows what's going on because they bring out all the food at once and you have no idea who ordered what. Which person got which meat or vegetable and if you ask they straight up told us "I don't know" and don't try to poke any further cuz it's just a loosing battle. 2. The sauce selection was severely lacking and always empty. 3. No one part from the hostess and one other guy speak English so you can't ask them anything. 4.
