DO NOT GO HERE!!! Go to the one in Burbank. We decided to not drive 20 miles out of our way and just order from this Bobs Big Boy. It seems like their online ordering is not up to date so we had to place our order inside the restaurant. The young man taking our order did not speak good English and did not understand much of what we were asking. I wanted to substitute onion rings for my fries but, instead, he gave me a side order of onion rings for $8 and the fries I didn't want. On top of everything, I received 6 onion rings in the order. I actually paid more than $1 per onion ring. My daughter's salad did not have cucumber or croutons like she asked and was given 1 small ranch dressing for a huge salad. I asked for blue cheese and got ranch too. It seems like the man taking our order did not listen to a single thing we asked for. Bob's Big Boy is super nostalgic for me. I took a visit there today after I hadn't been in probably ten years. I'll admit, I was not impressed by my dinner. I got the fish and chips and they just didn't meet the normal expectations, however their desserts are amazing. I got the Oreo Milkshake and it definitely hit the spot. We had to wait awhile to pay because there was nobody at the counter. I'll come back again but only I'll try their breakfast or just do desserts. I'd skip the dinner. Plenty of parking in front. The Northridge, Ca location STOLE $17.49 from me and basically gave me the middle finger over the phone when asked I asked for Loraine to see about refunding my card since I got nothing in return. I am super pissed. An online order snafu , Google's fault, I get it - sent order to Northridge instead of Burbank...No big deal right? The Burbank location re-made my order right but I had to Pay them since the manager in Northridge was out when I called to inform them of the backward order and I was assured by a nice employee that they would take care of it. Went in for a burger and fries. Food took a minute and server was quick but not very attentive. Burger came plain and i waited to inform him I needed dressing as I wasn't down for eating a bare burger. Food is average. Very, very average. Fries were too salty. This location is a HORRIBLE representation of this company. We have been to the Burbank location numerous times and this one does not do the company justice. Burbank has a great welcoming aesthetic and a great team while this one is very plain and the staff is very questionable. Now I'm a sucker for quick service but too quick is also questionable. Food was not good at all fries tasted and looked as if the oil was filthy. And I got the mac and cheese from the kids menu and it was definitely a cheap boxed mac and cheese. This place screams 1978 working class husband who just sent his kid to the army, and has a flask of bottom self vodka in his back pocket that he used to mix in his coffee which was poured by Stacey (the middle aged woman with cherry red hair who has 12 kids, and gets hit on by every man with a beard longer than 4.6 inches in length). Overall, good service and good food. No complaints on burger. The utensils have definitely been used since the start of the Cold War. They're Back! Oh My! So Good! 3/19/2021 Folks, the doors are OPEN. I was driving past and I saw people sitting inside and I whipped a U-turn and bam, I was sitting at a table inside with a menu. The place is clean and the employees were all outstanding and happy that folks were trickling in to dine-in. We let the waitress who is also the manager know we were unhappy with the food and she just argued with us and barely gave us any discount. I definitely willnot be returning to location or probably any other locations because of how bad it was. This place was nicer than I remembered, the service was really good. I had my baby with me but the carseat didnt fit the booth. We ended up putting her on the table.. we should have sat somehwere with a high chair.. The parking is very convenient they share a Lot with Target so theres plenty space. My uncle works for Coke so I havent drank Pepsi in literally years. But they have an interesting Chocolate Pepsi here.... I had to try it out of curiosity... it was definitely interesting. Bob's was my first burger love. There was something about that grilled cheeseburger with dripping thousand island dressing with a side of onion rings, that made a bad day better, a good day, great, and a dining experience fun. When most, if not all of the locations went out of business, the cries throughout Southern California could be heard 'round the world. The iconic big boy statues could be found at various consignment stores, and it just added to the reality that the chain would be gone forever. The fact that two of the restaurants held on, was a blessing in disguise. Imagine my excitement when I stumbled upon the infamous burger joint while in Northridge, CA?!? My first attempt, yes, I tried twice to rekindle my burger love. The first time I was going to dine alone, and as I entered the restaurant it really did not have the same feel, but I felt like I was destined to rekindle my love. I waited for almost 15 minutes and wasn't greeted by anyone, and it was clear that it was a wait to be seated situation. Because I had time constraints, I ended up leaving with the thought of not returning. The opportunity presented itself the following day where I was able to go back with a colleague, because we both had such favorable childhood memories, and both of us were eager to see if that infamous burger was still delicious. This time seating wasn't an issue when we were seated within a short period of time. Again, the inside of the restaurant just did not have the same feel that it did nor the same work that it did from our childhood. We both ordered the cheeseburger with fries, despite my wanting that onion rings, the waitress suggested otherwise. Duly noted. Sadly, the burger absolutely was nothing like it had been back in the day. The patties were overcooked, super thin, and the buns look like and tasted like they had been sprayed down with water and tossed on the grill. They were soft and mushy with that hint of crunch. Not something that you'd expect anywhere. The shredded lettuce tasted like it had been sitting around for a while, and the iconic thousand Island dressing actually tastes better when it is store-bought. Who da thunk that store bought would be better ?!? It was great to relive the memory, but sadly the food is just not the same. I wouldn't make a point of rushing out to enjoy it if you're trying to rekindle old memories, try it because it's something different and not stereo typical of most places. read more

They clearly have no interest in cleaning that place up and making it look like someplace I would want to eat. The fries were stale and cold. The fried chicken tasted horrible and we commented it was being fried in very old oil. We got the Hot Fudge Cake and there was a hair in it. We handed it back and showed them and asked for another.
