I remember going to this Tapioca Express every weekend and getting afternoon snacks or lunch. Their beverages and snacks are always so tasty. I always get their fries (no spice), crispy chicken rice combo, and a honeydew milk tea. Inside this store is so aesthetic and every time I come in here it feels like a house almost haha. This Tapioca Express would be a perfect place to study at. It's usually not that busy on the weekend in the day time. I would recommend coming here! Their tempura is the best and I order tempura whenever I can, perfect thickness and crispiness but still retains that chewiness inside. I recall a couple of months ago, they were given a measly restaraunt rating of a C. But it was totally understandable, as there was dirt everywhere -- especially on the couches. However, since then, their cleanliness has dramatically changed, bringing them back up to an A. I am no longer afraid to sit on their sofas. This place is great for groups. While the magazines and games (Jenga, Connect 4, etc) may have collected a bit of dirt and dust over the years, they can still be entertaining. If you come in a group, appetizers are great. The fries, popcorn chicken, etc, come in these bags that are filled up all the way! The prices are really friendly toward your wallet, but the foods aren't to your weight -- or if you're watching your acne. The drinks here are alright; however, I haven't had anything spectacular thus far. This place can get very crowded during lunch hours and afterschools, so be cautious. As an Arcadia native, this is a good little spot for some Boba! I have had my fare share of Boba drinks, and this place makes the BEST milk teas I've EVER had! located in a small strip mall, this place isn't very appealing from the outside, but once you walk in, you'll be greeted by a cozy interior with clean tables, low lighting, chairs, COUCHES!, a selction of magazine & arcade games next door. i don't know why you need a key for the bathroom though.. there's also seating outside! although they also sell food, they specialize in their boba/tapioca drinks. read more

A boba place but has a lot more to offer. They have pretty good amt of serving for any food you order. They have the fried squid which is made to how much spice and heat you can handle without the taste being altered. Only thing is that the place is too small to have a lot of people hanging around because of the Wi-Fi. There was a time we went there and there 's no place to seat. Drove there to pick up my cell phone around 8:00 pm and when I asked the woman who found it, she said she did outside in the parking lot. i yelped this place before going, my review is not as pleasant as the other yelpers.. craving popcorn chicken and jasmin green tea boba drink so decided to go here for lunch, since it's closest to work. first of all, it's on a warm day and the interior of this place was hotter then outside, u know they tryin to save money on not turnin on the a/c and it's already around 1pm. ordered crispy chicken, i figured it should taste the same as other places such as lollicup or ten ren tea, but when i got it back at work, it tasted dry and no flavoring, the chicken chunks were all stuck together in large clumps and they didn't have any basil leaves for flavoring. The chicken meat didn't taste good, so overall a bad experience. The reason i gave this place a two star is at least the jasmin green boba tea tasted aite.. so nothing special here, the tea was a bit weak and boba was a bit too chewy (hard centered) means it's either not cooked correctly or it is old. not returnin here, rather drive extra 3 miles to lollicup in arcadia next time. read more

I used to go to this cafe every week to eat their snacks. This place never seems too crowded. . The snacks I usually go for are either the french fries, popcorn chicken or calamari or even all of them. Their calamari is extremely crispy! I love it that way. Their french fries are wonderful as well since when you order it mild spicy , it isn't too spicy ( it's just right). However, for the popcorn chicken, there were couple times where they accidentally put too much spicy stuff onto the chicken. I have once tried their taro milk tea (hot) , it was really sweet at first but it tasted a bit funny once it cooled down. Their staff seems really nice; there are times where they will try to start a conversation with you. There are games and manga ( I think) for kids to read and play with it! The food is pretty good for the price, 7 dollars will get you combo rice plus choice of tea drink. I really didn't enjoy paying only in cash when my meal is almost $10. They have an ATM in the restaurant, however it charges $2 for a $10 meal. It's just not a pleasant experience when you have to force to use the atm when the meal isn't even that cheap. The owners clearly are very cheap to the customers. The milk with boba was so nasty. AVOID 3pm. It took me about 20minutes to get my fries and boba milk tea. When I got there about 3:15ish, there was already a long line of middle school and high school kids waiting to order. It almost looked like after school day care center. I couldve just went home and came back later, but I was really craving their fries and milk tea! They also serve combination menus, where you would get a plate of food and a choice of green tea or black tea. I believe you can get a different drink with extra charge. The portion of the food is pretty big for the price of 6~7dollars. You can even share with another person. The food can take up to 10min wait, but that's because they are that good. Lol. I am pleasantly surprised the phone calls have generally been pleasant but we have always gotten our 10 combo orders with so many drinks CORRECTLY! Used to go here a lot in the middle school days (so like 8 years ago) where me and my buddies would try to scope out chicks from other schools. Weird calling them that since it seems so pedo but I was like 13 at the time as well. Anyway, they seem to maintain an overall good service as they get me my drinks seconds after I'm done paying sometimes and they're pretty friendly. Quality wise, it's definitely lower-tier tea house comparable to Lollicup and Quickly. But the drinks are fairly priced so it's kind of expected of a lower grade tea shop. What I do like about this place though is their expansive list of cooked/fried meals and snacks. Popcorn chicken, tempura, and the fried chicken rice entree are some of my usuals. Pretty good place to hang out since it's so close to home but the place can get riddled with Asian wangsters whose favorite past time is smoking cigarettes and dogging anyone who walks by---'cause you know, they're so amazingly cool. Should I mention I once saw like a 12 year old girl smoking a cigarette here? Seriously, cut it out it's gross. The drinks were always pretty decent, but as more boba places started opening it seemed like everyone forgot about good 'ol tap ex! I didn't stop going, UNTIL...
