*Be careful if you order at this location!* If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Two young girls at counter, even though zero customers, have no idea what they are doing, showing poor staff training. Made a pre-order the night before and when came to pick it up at the designated time, the girls claimed they had no idea although there was a note on the wall right next to the kitchen door saying to prepare my order at specified time. Instead of properly apologizing, they instead blamed their co-worker for "not letting them know" and talked smack about their co-worker for making a big mistake when they were equally to blame. When asked for a deal/discount in return for the mistake they made, they wasted more of my family's time trying to get ahold of their manager and then denying my request as if they did not make the mistake in the first place that already wasted hours of my time that I hoped to prevent through a pre-order. This ended up costing me to arrive at my important event a couple hours late and disappoint the hungry students. I love bonchon's food but unfortunately this experience will not bring me back to this specific location. I hope they train their staff better to prevent easily preventable mishaps like this. I think all the workers there could work on their communication skills with each other and also improve their customer service. read more

Is this a new place. Was looking for something different for dinner while visting the area. I found Bonchon. People were nice but were being trained. Nice packaging. A lot of sold out items so I got chicken wings korean burgolgi tacos and japgeon? Everything looked good but lacked seasoning. Wings were crispy but meat was hard and dry. Tacos were good but tortillas had really hard edges, like over micro waved. Japgeon missing sesame oil and any flavor. My friends are from Korea. Not impressed and ask if any Koreans working there. Go Bonchon! Thank you for opening one nearby. This Bonchon was super easy to get to and such a nice store. The food good as expected and the yummy crunch is consistent with their Costa Mesa location. We had the soy garlic chicken, the spicy chicken, japchae and the fried rice. All great options to start with the pickled radishes. Service was efficient with our in store and out to go order. My sister recommended this place to me, so my good friend and I tried them out last night. Wings, fries and street corn are so bomb!! The young lady that took my order was super sweet and nice so thank you for your kind service. Inside is pretty small. I wouldn't say it's meant for groups. Meh, grand opening service was good, but I can't say the same for the chicken. The drums was raw so I sent it back and they redid it so I can take it home. I got home and they were still raw. The wings sizes were small also, personally the taste was on point, but I probably won't come back. Raw chicken is dangerous and should be checked prior to serving. read more

This was my first time trying korean fried chicken and I had a great experience! I got the chicken tenders and dipped it in their various sauces of cucumber wasabi ranch, spicy mayo and buttermilk ranch. All were so delicious, and my fave were the strips dipped in their cucumber wasabi ranch! I also ordered their Mac and Kimcheese, Tacos with Bulgogi and Japchae! Best chicken in town!! Super crispy and light batter with the perfect amount of sauce coated! Ordered half spicy and half soy. Spicy was my favorite! Also ordered the Katsu which was absolutely delicious and the chicken was really moist! The kimchi Mac was really good also! Cheesy, creamy, spicy with bites of kimchi pieces! Ok i ordered i think 30 pcs classic soy garlic wings and some aides like the cole slaw and some fries to go. People were nice and place is neat and clean and i think they just opened. Anyway when I got home we were so sad to get half spicy and hald regular wings instead if the soy garlic wings we wanted so I called and I guess i was given the wrong bag bec after they asked for my name they apologized and told me to come back anytime and they will give me the correct order. So i did come back later that day in time for dinner and they insisted to give me a whole family meal even after I told them they do not need to give me the sides anymore and was really apologetic abiut the mistake.
