Always a very solid place to eat with friends to catch up! We went after work on Tuesday and we're seated immediately. There weren't many people in the restaurant and we ended up in the corner table next to the window. I definitely don't recommend sitting here as the flies congregate here (we even killed 2 with our napkins). Service was extremely fast and friendly. I love Bonchon. This is our go to for when we're in the mood for some fried chicken. Love the sides it comes with and the flavors. Radish is on point as well! The tenders can be a little dry at times though, but the wings are always crispy on the outside and soft and juicy in the insides. They also have other sides that are pretty good too. Service is absolutely great. Great energy and super friendly. They sat us down even though we had about an hour to eat, which we actually did within 35 minutes. Funny story actually! We walked in and asked when they closed, and decided we didn't want to intrude on them. But all the workers that overheard were all asking us to come on in and it wouldn't be an issue at all. This was my first trip to a Bonchon. My family had ordered food here a couple times without me and I was finally able to see and try their food. This location isn't too far for me so it's pretty convenient. I'm glad they are still around. We ordered one of their family bundles and the food was great. We had called it in and they told us what time would be ready. Once we got there there are many other people placing orders and also getting their food. At that time the folks that were ordering on the spot they said it was about a 45 minute wait so this place is definitely popular. The chicken itself has a nice and Calais on top of it where it's also crispy and crunchy but yet there is a good bite to it. One of our concerns was the food we get soggy if we waited too long but it all turned out OK when we finally brought it home. I will always think Bonchon when I think KFC (Korean fried chicken). I always get the drums because it's actually a full size chicken drumstick (not just the tiny wing sizes)! The breading is always flavor packed and crispy. The meat is tender and juicy. I cannot rave more about it. I alternative between soy garlic and spicy because I don't have a sweet tooth. However, the spicy is actually pretty spicy (as someone who loves spicy Korean food). So, if you're sharing, make sure they can handle it! We decided to try the popcorn shrimp as we've never gotten anything besides chicken here. The popcorn shrimp was a little disappointing just because it was a thick layer of breading. I couldn't really taste the shrimp because of it. Parking is free and easy to find. The service you get may depend on how busy they are. The soy garlic just doesn't seem to be sauced enough but I believe it's the style. I like to reheat the fried chicken leftovers in the oven and they taste just as good. Bonchon makes the online ordering and pickup process so easy during the pandemic. They offer curbside pickup and it works flawlessly. The wait time from ordering to pick up has usually been around 20-30 minutes for me. Quick tip for those who like to check their orders at pick up: The fried chicken all comes in one box when you get the family meal but the half spicy and half soy garlic is supposed to have a divider in the middle. I was confused the first time because my half and half order didn't come with a divider so I thought they mixed both in the same box. It didn't make sense but I was already home and hungry. So let's start off with the positive. The food. We got 14 wings combo-half and half. I'm not big on spice so I thoroughly enjoyed the non spicy ones. The spicy ones were too spicy for me, but more power to those who like spice. We got the seasoned fries and to me they were perfectly seasoned. They were tasty and not a salt bomb. Came out piping hot and crispy. Bacon and kimchi fried rice. It was good, but not great. Tasty but for me I wish the bacon was been crispier. It tasted a bit soggy mixed in with the rice. Still flavorful and would recommend. Now on the not so great part. So when we arrived there-our little of party of two-there was only one other couple there. We asked to sit a 4 person table so we could see the game better. After some hesitation we were allowed to sit at there. I would have understood if the place was packed but there was no one was there. I just felt it was super rude. I noticed we were not the only ones that were treated like that.
