    Boulder Cork Salad
    Michelle E.

We went on a double-date to dinner at Boulder Cork. We made a reservation in advance (recommended). Our waiter was very friendly and we were seated at the time of our reservation. We ordered the Boulder Cork salad to share as a starter and I had the Sake Salmon for dinner. I chose the Boulder Cork salad because it seemed to be the healthiest salad on the menu. Overall, I liked the salad, but would've preferred it without the macadamia nuts. The sake salmon was cooked well and had great flavor but it was too saucy for me and I didn't care for the veggies, they seemed to be frozen or canned and not fresh. My husband ordered the filet and the couple we were with ordered a surf and turf meal and a sake salmon. They all enjoyed their food a lot. Also to note, we didn't realize the restaurant closed at 8PM and our dinner reservation was at 7:15. We stayed at the restaurant until 10 and none of the staff came over to try and kick us out. We had great conversation, laughed, and reminisced, even after closing. We are grateful to the staff for letting us stay!

I'm elated to share that this business continues to go above and beyond for their clients - both regarding in-house service & food as well as projects/activities involving their lot and landscaping. Their staff called to apologize for the noise & make it right in my eyes. I'm so thankful for their understanding and compassion. I wanted to be sure to come here and update my review to share that they did reach out to me regarding my recent concern. I'm happy to be calling myself their customer again.

What a wonderful anniversary dinner experience! The hostess and waitress were so kind, congratulating us on our anniversary (since we marked it in our Open Table reservation). The service was seriously excellent. The food and drinks were so delicious. The atmosphere of the outdoor area with all the plants and string lights was very romantic and calming. And the mud pie for dessert!! Wow. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for a lovely date night, Boulder Cork!

No one greeted me and the servers stood in a group staring at me while saying nothing. Weird but ok. We orders the lobster claws and knuckles and when I put it in my mouth I should have spit it out like my husband did but I ate it. When we told the server Regan (who was the only normal and nice person there) a man named Patrick came over. He seemed new and nervous was very quiet and the conversation was awkward in general to be honest. But they got us different food and took the lobster off. It wasn't till hours later that I knew something was wrong and I was violently ill. I called jax the next day while I was extremely sick and got Patrick on the phone again. Conversation again was weird and there were several pauses that made me ask are "hello, are you still there?" He told me someone would call me Sunday and no call. Patrick did refund our meal. That was nice. However I missed a day of work that I could not miss, was sick all weekend and could not go to the doctors cause who can afford that? I cannot. A conversation could have been good to smooth this over. Needless to say I will not be coming back.

Even better, there were seats available at the chef's counter. I'm sure the dinner hour is a more intense experience, but we walked into a peaceful, beautiful space at 2:15pm. There were a few people in the bar, otherwise the restaurant was empty except for our two seats at the chef's counter with a great view of the kitchen. It felt like the restaurant was closed and just serving the two of us. Cozobi is the Zapotec god of maize and agriculture which is certainly appropriate for a restaurant focused on authentic masa. Outside there's a long, secluded patio. You enter to the lobby of an office building, then go left into Cozobi. There's an elegant bar in front, the dining room in the middle, then the comfortable chef's counter and kitchen in the rear. We started with two items from the happy hour menu: Taco Dorado with wild mushrooms, queso Chihuahua, and guacachile (a green sauce made from chilis and onions) and Ceviche de Huachinango with red snapper and smashed avocado served tostada-style on an authentic tortilla. The mushroom taco was amazingly savory with absolutely delicious flavors that melded perfectly. The ceviche was good, but I'm not a fan of Chef Curiel's extremely hard tortillas. There were too many small bits on the tostada to pick it up without everything falling off and it was impossible to cut. We finally scraped off the ceviche and then broke up the tortilla to eat separately. Next we went to the dinner menu with the Callo de Hacha al las Brasas, Fall River scallops, serrano ponzu, tomato butter, and chives. I've had this before and it was as beautiful and delicious as ever. The small scallops were cooked perfectly. The Taco de Pastor came with Sakura pork collar, recaudo rojo (a tomato, onion, and garlic sauce), charred pineapple, and salsa verde cruda (a tomatillo sauce). Again, beautiful to look at and very savory, tender, and delicious. Finally we went for the Huachinango a la Veracruzana, Baja red snapper in an olive tomato broth with roasted lemon rice. OMG, the broth was amazing. A perfectly cooked piece of fish with wonderful flavors and a delightful dish of rice to accompany the fish. Cozobi offers dessert and we finished with a picture-perfect tres leches cake, swimming in a luscious sauce. I just love trying lots of different tastes and this menu is well-organized to provide that. Six dishes were the perfect amount of food and we left very satisfied. The very charming Asia provided great service while also busy in the kitchen. A few of the servers assisted from time-to-time. Everything ran like clockwork. My girlfriend enjoyed herself and we were both very impressed.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and the beautiful bar is the centerpiece of this gorgeous restaurant. The atmosphere is a lovely combination of elegance and dining comfort. The waitstaff is beautifully trained, and everyone who works here seems to be very proud of the food and ambiance. We started with a tuna crudo which was one of the stars of the meal. The tuna was delicious and the broth was heavenly. We ordered pork taco and a beef taco, both so tasty. For our entree, we had the snapper in tomato broth. I'm still thinking about it! As soon as you know you're going to Boulder, book a reservation. Even is all you can get is an 8:45, take it! This was without a doubt the best dining experience we enjoyed in Boulder. My only regret is that I didn't book at least 3 meals here during our stay! I won't make that mistake again! Cozobi Fonda Fina is simply that good!

The pizzas were also solid and entering to the wood fire smell is awesome. The meh- the prices are really high and then they add a mandatory 22percent service fee but say it's not a tip. I am confused, are diners totally paying the salaries upfront? Pizzas are already $30 and the small bread is $14.., seems like a large up charge. Everything should be pretty darn perfect and it was not. I needed to ask to have my table wiped down and we were all asked if we wanted new plates/utensils with our next course. Strange disconnect. Also, we all left pretty hungry. Portions were pretty tiny. The app was delicious but alas not enough to bring us back. P.s. .they wished someone in my Party a happy birthday but no candle after out meal when we declined dessert. Would be nice for a small tidbit to be on the house for special occasion, a cookie or something ... anything. This is the kind of underwhelming yet expensive dining experience that keeps me from wanting to eat out ..

We arrived at the restaurant around 7PM and luckily two seats opened up at the bar. We sat in the corner and were greeted by Kevin and Stephen, both bartending and taking orders. The bar was packed full and very busy but the service was still exceptional. I loved the ambiance at this steakhouse- moody, dim lighting, a lot of black, and I liked the decor. It felt like a very classic steakhouse. We started off with Manhattans and a wedge salad. For dinner I had the filet, medium-rare and we shared the whipped potatoes and broccolini. We also ordered a side of the house made steak sauce. For dessert, we shared the key lime pie. My filet was amazing! Cooked perfectly and it was delicious. The steak sauce was also good but not necessary for the steak. The whipped potatoes and wedge salad were also great. The potatoes were buttery and tasted like something my mom used to make! The broccolini was a little too overpowering with garlic, so we didn't eat much of it. They key lime pie was good and unique. Made with passion fruit and served with kiwis and whipped cream on top.
