This is a really good place for brunch. The burger was good, corned beef melt on rye was amazing, but the fries really stood out. Staff was nice and quick on a busy morning, very attentive. No wait time. Theres street parking and a parking lot around the corner. Good location near the strip.

10/10 My family and I ate here TWICE during our three day stay. This place has so much charm and the coffee is a must. You cannot order a bad meal from here - I tried a little from everyone's plate and everything was top notch. The French toast is amazing AND the hashbrowns are to die for! The service has been excellent the two times we've been here although it's very busy. You will not be disappointed.

It's a very nice and cozy atmosphere when you walk in. We went for the dinner service and were served very quickly. I ordered the elk tacos which were enormous and covered almost the entire plate. The elk was very good and lean and I definitely got full off of this plate. I also ordered the huckleberry sundae without the chocolate fudge. It was yummy and I definitely had the essence of huckleberry to take home with me for my last meal. Overalls portion sizes were big for what you get. Thanks for having us!

Dale our server was so fun and engaging it just started the entire experience off positive. Seeing all the food fly by made our decision easy - we ordered parm fry's and burgers. The meat in the burger was so tasty and different. It had to be the area because it was flavorful and cooked right. Dale explained different local beers and how they support local farms. We loved the entire meal and experience. When we saw the milkshakes being served with a pile of whip cream we were so tempted but full. I could see why this place is a local favorite. This is a cute space too. Don't miss out on this experience.

This place was busy, busy and righteously so. The food was delicious and portions equivalent to the cost all in all it was fabulous. I think this has to be the best breakfast restaurant in whitefish. We tried the chicken fried steak and the steak omelette. They were absolutely delicious. Both plates were cleared. The hashbrowns that they served with them were so tasty and flavorful and were definitely not just an afterthought, They were part of the dish and super delicious.. . The eggs perfectly cooked The service was also great. Highly recommend this place.

Cute little Cafe with some local character. Food was delish! Perfect for brekky, lunch or dinner. Ive only been here twice and had breakfast once and dinner once. Was able to get in right away during weekday for breakfast but had to wait around 20 min to be seated for dinner. The town is quaint and serene so the wait was worth it and it was nice outside to wait.

Visiting town for a half marathon and worked up an appetite! We actually stopped by a different restaurant who was closing and suggested Buffalo Cafe. There was a short wait, about 5 min for a two top. They had a large variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items- breakfast served until 2. We both ordered breakfast, it was quick, fresh & tasty! We ordered two versions of the "Buffalo pie" (a hash brown specialty) which came with your choice of toast, a side of biscuits w/gravy and a side of french toast. I personally would have liked the hash browns more well done, but I also didn't ask for them that way. Service was excellent, we had a couple people check on us and offer coffee/tea refills which we really appreciated. Great experience!

This is a cute lunch spot in downtown Whitefish! We stopped here for a quick bite after a trip to the bookstore, next door. We shared a juicy jalapeño burger, the light, fluffy bun is made in house ; loved the diced charred jalapeños on top the charred, juicy burger. The strawberry banana shake was delicious, it was a pleasant surprise to taste the fresh fruit with the creamy ice cream , compared to the fake syrups you typically see. I think we walked in at the end of their lunch service, but they were awesome and didn't rush us!

If you ever find yourself up on the popular 3rd street in whitefish, this is definitely the place to be. Portions were immense, packed with flavor and the burger I got tasted amazing, looked great as you can tell from the picture and to top it all off the huckleberry shake made this place so much more worthwhile. Give it a try, the staff is friendly and inviting to tourists and locals alike, it feels like a cozy American restaurant. Love it

My party of 6 is a very picky bunch! The 2 children are very particular about what they like, so we pick options around them. That being said, this was an amazing choice! The food was fantastic! The burgers were delicious. Our server was very nice and constantly checked up on us. The restaurant was very cozy and clean. Overall this was an amazing experience! Would definitely come again!

Not only was the food delicious, but the staff is INCREDIBLE. The owner has amazing calves (definitely a biker) and our waitress was shockingly beautiful. Fantastic place. A mix of tourists and locals. We all ordered various main courses with Elk and sampled them all. Street parking for several blocks around, and a nice park to walk off some calories nearby. read more

This restaurant doesn't open for dinner until 5 p.m., but when they let us in, their service was top notch! They got us seated with drinks and a server so quickly. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious. All the servers are so on top of it, and so friendly. I'd definitely recommend eating here! read more

Do I recommend this place? I think everybody does, check out the lines outside the door. I can't go in there without getting one of the buffalo pies for breakfast, friggin yummy. I had a chicken salad sandwich there for lunch one day too that was delish. read more

We had a really good brunch. Don't wait until you're hungry to go there. We arrived a little after 11. We were given a pager so that we could wander the shops while we waited. We did not get seated until after 12. No pancakes after noon. Hard and fast rule on the noon cutoff. Service was adequate. We visited in mid September. read more

Fantastic place! Huge portions and fair prices. More simple meals, but done elegantly with great attention to detail. Service was great too! My wife and I ordered from the Daily Specials, and were definitely impressed. She got a Cinnamon Swirl French Toast with Strawberry topping, and I got a Buffalo Pie (not a pie folks, more like a hash scramble) that was similar to their Morning Glory, but without Gravy and using Mozzarella cheese instead. Out of town guests visiting family and we had breakfast here yesterday. Yes, you have a little or so wait time but that is definitely a sign that the food is worth the wait!!!! I had the blueberry pancakes that were wickedly good and you won't be disappointed. The KC bacon was excellent. We will definitely be back during our next visit!!!! read more

This place is awesome. A little away from the cluster of restaurants and bars down the street but still close. We went there for an early dinner. Pro's: Great Burgers, Wonderful wait staff. Super friendly. Quick with drinks and suggestions. My Hamburger with figs and blue cheese and bacon was the bomb. The bun was the best part... bakery fresh. The side salad was huge and filled with all kinds of vegis. I snuck a few of my partners fries and they were also fantastic. Battered style and delicious (the few I could sneak off his plate). Waitress suggested the Steak Salad which I may try next time. Prices were reasonable for what you get. We sadly didn't have desert but sad now that I didn't. Different types of milkshakes looked great. Con's: Not open on Sunday or Monday... we would have come back but ended up at Casey's down the street... you can read my review on that place. The seating is somewhat limited so you should get in early to grab a seat. We will be going back tomorrow as we are still in the area and don't want to go anywhere else. We had a great meal here. It's a very kid friendly restaurant too. The loaded nachos were one of the best I've ever had. Fish tacos, roasted carrots, kids cheeseburger were all delicious. I've been going to the Buffalo for years and can honestly say I have never had one negative experience (with service, cleanliness, food, or anything else). I just had the Leslie's for breakfast for the first time and one word : yum!!! I devoured the whole plate of hash browns, veggies, eggs, and the english muffin. The drip coffee at the buffalo is always fantastic. If you go for dinner I highly, highly recommend the shrimp cake sandwich! Oh my goodness my mouth just salivated typing that....I can't even think of enough great words to describe it, it's just a must try, in my opinion! If you're like me you order something once and if you like it you play it safe and order that item every time you go back to the restaurant...I would encourage you to try as many options as you can at the Buffalo...everything I've ever had has been superb! read more

When I arrived they were pretty busy, but staff managed to get everyone seated quickly. I received my food pretty fast too. I got the royale burger with cheese and Parmesan fries. The burger was really damn good. It seemed like they toasted the buns in garlic butter? DELICIOUS. The fries were reAlly good as far as crispiness and flavor, but the "Parmesan" was very little shreds of Parmesan scattered over the fries. It didn't really seem worth it or like much was added. We were on our way back from GNP and were thinking of going to BWW and instead decided to try out this cafe in Whitefish. It's a perfect spot with a great staff! We got the wings, the chicken sandwich, a chocolate shake and a kids meal. Everything was perfect and we didn't regret trying this cafe out! There wasn't much wait on a weeknight but the cafe was full of customers. Very cozy and friendly vibe! We would definitely recommend and come back ourselves whenever we next visit! read more

OMG! From the kind gentleman at check in to fabulous Kelly our server to a delicious meal this was a great experience! Kelly was all smiles as she covered multiple tables and was so sweet. My husband claimed best.burger.ever. Local beef and homemade bun My chick sal sand was tasty and the side salad was amazing-not your typical greens. It had veggies and mushrooms too! We were seated within five minutes in a room with a view of the street. It was raining outside, and it felt nice and cozy inside the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and checked in on how we were doing regularly. We ordered the Tot-chos (half order to share among six people) and I also got a huckleberry soda for myself as well as the bison (classic) burger with sweet potato fries. For dessert, we shared two scoops of huckleberry ice cream (from Sweet Peaks), the bread pudding and the beignets. I loved the Tot-chos, and the half order was honestly a pretty big size already! The huckleberry soda was pretty sweet (I think it had 41 grams of sugar), but I don't regret trying it. The bison burger wasn't bad, it definitely tasted similar to beef, but it was a huge burger so I couldn't finish it. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. In terms of the dessert, I had gone to Sweet Peaks already and liked their huckleberry flavor a lot, so I was excited to see them on the menu. People at my table loved the bread pudding. I thought the beignets were not bad, but they weren't as good as the other desserts.

I give Buffalo cafe a 5 star rating because they have amazing service very nice waiters. I have been going to Buffalo cafe ever since I was born. Right as I walked in they help us find a seat immediately or tell us that it will be a short wait. When that happens we just sit on the benches they have. All over the building there are paintings everywhere. The last time I went to the Buffalo cafe was a few days ago. Right as I walked in we found a table. The waitress was really nice. She asked if I wanted a drink. I ordered the hot chocolate. She came back and asked us what we wanted. I ordered the salmon. It was delicious. When the food came it looked delicious. I tried it. It was awesome. I highly recommend the salmon. The salmon also came with mashed potatoes and a salad. Everything on my plate was delicious. I could eat a whole other one whenever I go to the Buffalo! Of course the Buffalo is already world famous for their legendary breakfasts and staple local atmosphere feel. But believe it or not the Dinner is where it's at these days. The Stroganoff is so good I might actually kill for it. It's quickly becoming something I eat every time I come back to Whitefish. Great casual atmosphere and a friendly attractive staff to boot. For the price, Dinner at the Buffalo is quickly becoming a Whitefish legend all its own. I've had several occasions when I eat here for Breakfast then come back 8 hours later for dinner. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place. There's always a line for a reason and their excellent managerial staff handles these lines beautifully. The waitresses are on point and everything on the breakfast & dinner menus are Delicious . The State has lifted the mask mandate and they are still requiring them, very disappointing but for some reason NO social distancing. There are other places close by that don't require mask but at least social distance. I got the McCabes combo. The eggs were under cooked and pancakes were gooy, the wait was ridiculous.
