Hubby and I shared the crème brûlée pancake and an espresso smoothie, and both were delicious! The pancake was incredibly fluffy and airy, with that light, sponge-like texture you want from a good Japanese soufflé pancake. I also really liked that the sauces weren't overwhelmingly sweet, so the dessert didn't feel heavy or sugary. The espresso smoothie was another pleasant surprise--creamy, flavorful, and with a nice coffee kick that paired perfectly with the pancake. Overall, a really satisfying way to finish the night. If you're already in the area for dinner at Yum Long, definitely save some room for dessert!!!!

It took them almost half an hour to prepare the dish, which they notified us when we were ordering. The dish came with a towering soft pancake, half of an actual mango, some whipped cream, mango cream and a scoop of mango ice cream, all for a price of $18. I loved this dish so much, it's a dream dish for any mango lover. Staff members were friendly at the store. Despite not being busy, I saw multiple of them in the store, some working in the kitchen and others taking care of customers in dining area. Overall a really good place to try out some world class soufflé pancakes, with delicious sides.

I honestly think these are some of the best pancakes I've had in many years in all of Los Angeles. They were honestly that good. And, I don't usually rave about pancakes very often. AWFUL is the one word I can describe about my experience with this restaurant. My husband suggested that we try this new place out. At first entering inside the environment takes you back 50 years which is sort of interesting. The wait for our food was 40 minutes! this is pretty grueling especially when you have a toddler and a baby who is hungry! It got us even more angry when my husband was calming our daughter down as the wait was getting too long and saw the plates that we later were served was our plates sitting on the serve counter for at least 10 minutes! After the long wait, to get what we did NOT order was tickling our patience. The food was so bad and worst off not fresh. We complained to the waitress of the bad service and without trying to hear or understand our situation, she excused the restaurant that the bad service was because they were really busy. The restaurant seating was about 90% full but if they couldn't really handle that then they should seek more staffs to be able to serve the customers. I would not suggest this restaurant to anyone. A waste of your money and service is horrible. read more

Strongly suggest you avoid Bun n Burger on Tuesdays (the owner's day off). Food was marginal. Ordered my potatoes well done and crispy and they were served white and soft. I returned them for more cooking and 15 minutes later they were returned to me in nearly the same condition. Breakfast service was so slow I could have ordered lunch before I got my check. Two people asked if I wanted more coffee and neither of them brought it. I love Bun n Burger on days when the owners are here but I won't come back on Tuesdays. read more

Great place for a cup of coffee or breakfast in the morning. The serve traditional American dishes and they specialize in some Mexican dishes too. My favorite is the Huevos Rancheros. It's perfect and not too greasy. If the street is full theres plenty of parking in the back. read more

It's a sit down meal & a server takes your order. Our server was efficient and checked on us once and that was it. We ordered: Machaca (with beans and rice, menudo & chilaquiles. Our food arrived shortly. Decent portions. My husband ordered and forgot to order the red sauce for my chilaquiles. It was good but I prefer the green sauce. The server said it was hotter (spicier) than the red sauce so it might've been best that I got the red sauce instead. Hubby said his Machaca was average & he had better. All in all, it hit the spot to kill the hunger & I took the rest of the menudo home. The experience was average yet I find myself thinking that we would've been better off at Macho Cafe which was closer to us from home. The reception there was warmer.
