Wow - so I was really looking forward to finally trying this place but ended up entirely disappointed. After patiently waiting for over 30 minutes after we ordered, we FINALLY got our food. No big deal since we weren't in a rush and the kids working were nice enough... annoyed, sure, but whatever - we had our food. THATS where things went from bad to worse. The $30 for two burger combos wasn't a huge deal since they use pretty premium ingredients. The 30+ min wait was annoying, but it happens and the kids looked like they were really trying so I'll let that slide. But to pay $30, wait 30+ mins, AND get served cold food is just going too far. Being served a luke warm burger on a cold bun is bad enough but do you really expect me to eat cold, congealed cheese fries? The kid in charge was nice enough and gave me a refund but all I wanted was a hot burger and fries! Its too bad since I was really looking forward to this place and was craving a good burger. I was excited to check out BB but was not very impressed. The burger itself was okay but was a little dry. Probably too little fat content. I did think the bread was fantastic though. I asked for light mustard and they gave me heavy mustard so that didn't help. I was not impressed with the fries either. They seemed more soggy than crisp. Maybe retrain him or if he doesn't like his job find another. Everyone is entitled to make mistakes. I own a service business and we mistakes all the time. How you choose (or not choose) to handle mistakes are everything. My wife and I went in to get lunch. We ordered our meals on their touch pad. We waited for 25 minutes to get only half of our order. We then waited an additional 12 minutes to get the rest of our order only to find that my wife's order was partially wrong. By the time we finally sat down to eat, her meal was totally cold. We were already in our car and we were just done. We didn't want to go back in and wait longer. They attempted to do nothing. When people make mistakes, they can at least make some sort of reasonable attempt to compensate for them. I will be very reluctant to return. read more

Tried Burger Boss for the first time on Sunday only to fall in love with their quality of ingredients. From the moist brioche bun to the crisp crunch of the white onion, and bright redness & green of the tomato and lettuce, everything was assembled perfectly and arranged nicely for "to go" orders. The "boss sauce" was a mild version of Thousand Island dressing which the texture of the bun soaked up nicely as it was not overdone. Loved the burgers! I wish they had a kids burger that was vegan, but we all enjoyed the bean patty and all the toppings they offer. I prefer their bean patty to all the fake impossible type burgers put there at restaurants. You can make a truly delicious and rather large burger here. The sweet potato fries were really good too. Anyways, Burger Boss definitely has a great business plan on becoming a popular chain. When you first walk in, the place itself is clean and lit up. They have a kiosk where you can order from the screen, but since it was my first time, I decided to go order with a cashier because I still had questions. The cashier was friendly and my order was correct. Burger: I ordered a 2/3 lb white Kaiser burger with cheddar, garlic herb mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled jalapenos, and mushrooms. I definitely liked the portion of the burger because it got me full. However, I was concerned with the amount of lettuce and tomatoes I got. I literally ate half my burger and I had like no more toppings left. Don't know if it was an accident, but that raised a few eyebrows. Overall the burger is good, but it's more on the plain side if you do not add sauces and toppings. Ketchup is always free which is a plus. Fries: This place emphasizes their fries as "fresh cut" fries. The fries were as described, (fresh cut) but the fries honestly lacked some flavor. They weren't the best fries but werent as bad as I thought. I got ranch for my dip. The fries are good, but not the best. Pricing: THIS PLACE IS PRICEY lol. I spent $17 on a combo. No big deal but I wouldn't be coming on a regular to spend almost $20 on a meal. I understand this is near Irvine and the price of living is pretty expensive here, but maybe if they can cut the price a couple dollars, I'd be okay with it and most people could agree with me. A dinner date here would be around almost $40 like goddamn y'all have to chill Oh and for the atmosphere, this place is pretty noisy, so if you're trying to dine in a much quieter setting, then this place isn't the place. This place needs loud music or something to make up for the noisy atmosphere. They have TVs but it's still pretty noisy.....but atmosphere isn't a problem tbh. To recap, this place has a bright future. The burgers are pretty good here. You get to boss up your own burger ;) , but it's missing something to make itself stand out.
