One of Asheville's most tasty burger places for sure! My family can't stop talking about the lunch we had here just a few days ago. The staff of young adults is about average; they did seem a bit tired, but who wouldn't be after being cooped up inside on such a beautiful day? We all loved the little menus (pictured in other reviews) that allowed full customization of your burger as well as countless combinations of old favorites. The black bean burger was beyond good-easily one of the best I've ever had. Everyone else in my family was pleased with their burgers as well. This should be only a order and eat at the restaurant, never take it to go. I made that mistake and when I got home the grease from the fries and sandwich made the wrapper and paper bag so greasy it broke and had to cradle it so i wouldn't drop it. I ordered two chicken sandwiches and ended up getting one chicken and one egg sandwich ‍ The fries were so stuck together I didn't eat them, and the cheese fries were so flavorless I didn't eat those either. Servers know that even the worst experience will still usually garner a 20% tip from Tourists with money, visiting from cities where such behavior is common. Mistakes are not amended, yet open palms still remain. Burgerworx has been on the Page Avenue location for years. My family, including 2 year old daughter, has never had a bad experience. The food is always exactly like it tasted the first time. The ordering system and burgers are top notch. The fries are hand-cut and delicious. Try their genuine hand-scooped milkshakes. Even Vincent Vega thinks they're a pretty freaking good milkshake. It's worth five dollars, and pretty freaking good too. Service is always with a genuine Asheville smile. Mountain Happy. Great spot for quick quality burgers and fries in downtown Asheville. The prices are fair for the quality of food you receive and the service was fantastic. The staff asked us several times if we were happy and if we needed anything throughout our visit. They also thanked us as we left. It was a black bean burger (appeared to he house made) and crusted and fried in a light breading. I love being able to choose toppings on the clipboard. I got the small fry - lots of fries and SO GOOD! Crispy, salty, skinny fries = my fav. Maybe they've changed the recipe? My partner got the double patty, and they were kind of flat and skinny- not a big, fat, juicy patty like you want. He still liked it, just not as good as expected. WOW! Seriously great burger. We had the daily special which was the Mushroom Swiss. This was our first visit and did not choose any toppings. I went for lunch one day after my co-worker told me how good they were. She was right, the burger and fries hit the spot! This isn't your fast food fare even though they made it quickly. No this was fresh food and it tasted wonderful I really like their ordering style. A bit pricey if you allow your stomach to do all the thinking so I did my best to keep it simple and stay within budget. I do highly recommend that you get a double burger! This is our favorite joint downtown for 3 reasons: no-nonsense, friendly, and consistently delicious. My companion calls it "the perfect burger." Expect friendly service with a smile. Your order will be reasonably priced. (I don't understand complaints regarding paying extra for toppings. Then again, I'm a cheese, lettuce, and tomato gal.) Fries come in huge portions. I cant choose between Five Guys or this place. Its a bit expensive but worth it. If you go here make sure to get the milkshakes because theyre delicious. I got pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and bacon with mine. All of that with mustard, ketchup, and mayo is a good combination. I really like the burger. I got cheesy fries and they were good. The cookie I got was pretty hard and to big for me. They got the order right and it was pretty quick. The way you ordered was by clip board. Checking off everything you want and that was pretty good. My fiancée and I stopped by for a quick bite for lunch. This place is very similar to Five Guys- fast and friendly service, simple menu, and good quality food. The menu is very simple: pick your bun, pick your burger, pick your toppings, cheese, and sauce. I got the bun-less burger option, which came in a bowl on top of shredded iceberg lettuce. It was more lettuce than you usually get it you get the bun-less option, so that was nice. We got the large fries to share, which came fresh and lightly salted. I really liked their ordering system. You take a small clipboard at the front and mark your order on an erasable card. When you're ready you give the card to the cashier. This is perfect when you don't know exactly what you want because you don't hold up the line behind you while you're trying to decide. I was really looking forward to this place, but I expected more based on them being billed as a "gourmet burger shop". The fries were great, but the burger was really nothing special. The bun was your typical store-bought white bread; it would have been much tastier with better quality bread. Also, they can only cook the burgers well-done (I prefer medium), although this is probably not their fault. Some sort of regulation I suppose. To be honest, the burger just really wasn't much better than what you'd get at someplace like Wendy's. Had the best Black Bean Patty I've ever had, here. Stacked my burger high with options but quickly noticed the angel in the bunch was that delicious, lovely black bean patty. Thick, soft, and luscious. Seriously. I thought I had an idea of a good black bean burger but this one had soul. Crisp layer on the outside and thick soft love on the inside.
