Fun Bob Marley tunes playing, Lit Palm Trees, and the Fun and Funky Beach Decor set the mood for a perfect getaway, you forget you are in Rhode Island! Fantastic Food, 14 choice Draft Beers, and Quality Service are what keep John, the kids and I coming back! My girls love the bathroom ceiling decorated with flipflops! Their kids meals come in Classic Cruiser cars, and mom loves the fact they can get a Fresh Fruit cup not Fries. John is working his way through the 12 Signature Burgers they have to offer, 10oz Grade A Beef served on a buttered and toasted sourdough bun, always accompanied by Righteous Fries, and a Signature Dipping Sauce. He washes his meal down with one of Buster's seasonal draft picks. My top 3 picks are the Fish Tacos, Phil's Revenge, and The Konichiwa Sandwich! The Fish Tacos are the best I have EVER had! Came here for my anniversary lunch last Sunday. Worst experience I have ever had. We were told to seat ourselves. 15 minutes later, still no menus. My husband finally got up and got them himself. Another 15 minutes to get a drink (it was not busy, but short staffed). The staff that was working felt it was more important to bus tables than wait on us. Already annoyed, we decided not to chance the food on this already over priced menu. We ordered the crab cakes just to have an appetizer because by this point we were both starving. Warning this is a review by a native southern Rhode Islander. We are seafood connoisseurs. We eat fresh seafood year round. Our favorite restaurants literally harvest their own shellfish from their own salt water farms daily in February. We are the most spoiled people on earth when it comes to seafood. Our grocery stores even buy fish directly off the boat year round. That being said. I would not eat at this crab shack again. Ever. Unless I was from Connecticut or New York. (People from New York and Connecticut have no idea what they are talking about) *they are basically human pollution on Rhode Island beaches. I don't even know what to say about this restaurant. It was like one of those places on restaurant stakeout. Basically a sit wherever you want attitude. Waitresses had no idea whose section we were in. We watched a waitress walk around with a tray of food very confused for several minutes. We waited a long time and the food came out in an odd sequence. Literally un managed. It seemed like local fresh food, but the preparation was weird. Murky chowder. Burned salt less clamcakes. Clumpy lobster bisque. Just weird. We really shouldn't have gone to this area for food. This is a tourist trap neighborhood. Locals don't eat on this road. We were here on a whim. We were just really hungry. We were pretty disappointed with the food we were served. Nothing was fresh, even though the restaurant is across the street from a fresh fish market... The fried whole belly clam patter was more like strips then whole belly.The fried scallops platter tasted like it was just taken out of the freezer and warmed up, similar to "Gorton's frozen fish". One of us actually got physically sick!Extremely pricey for the low quality (around $26 for the platters). This is more of a place for drinks and apps. Weird place. By weird, i mean there must be a ton of people who go there and get the menu who say "where are the crabs?". Only have crab cakes and a crab roll. One menu has actual crab legs and its priced at 60 dollars in a platter. Place and decor is cool. And setting is pretty damn sweet on nice days with the outdoor seating. Had mojitos and a cornita. Drinks were good. And just ended up getting egg rolls with crab in it for an appetizer after not finding anything on the menu that appetizing. Just wish they had actual crabs or other entrees. My family and I went to Buster Krabs last night- 16 of us! Everyone was SO friendly! Our service was excellent. Our waitress took great care all our chaotic demands- and we never had to wait for anything! The owner came out to check on us mid-meal which was a very, very nice touch. The owner even took a few pictures of the 16 of us before we left. Overall the food was good, burgers, lobster rolls and clam cakes were probably the best of everything we ordered. I agree with the reviewer that Buster Krabs of the past is not that of the present. This place really is bad on the palette and wallet. Fish Tacos, $17.95, with very little fish and slaw also soggy. Cmon for that price the tortillas should have been overflowing with fish and slaw. The kids meal, Chicken nuggets, $7.99, looked more appetizing than the fish tacos. BTW, the snack bar at the beach also sells fish tacos for $7.99. Very disappointing Mr Krabs!!! read more

This place is casual in Galilee area, it's seasonal outdoors with usually a DJ. It can get crowded especially on weekends. Plan accordingly, don't expect a quick dinner. Great for kids. We went Saturday at 7:30 pm with 2 kids 7&10. We sat quickly but was told right away the kitchen was behind, the service was good, at 8:30 they sent out free fries and fruit cup since we waited For our dinner . Total time there 2 hours. Save your money. This place is overpriced fried food off a Sysco truck. Service not great either. We started off with an order of stuffies which burned my mouth with the amount of spice or chorizo in it. We also ordered Gorgonzola chips: lack of chips and the Gorgonzola was waterish. No sooner were the appetizers on the table, our entire meal was brought over with no room on the table for it. Now with two kids, there is no room to cut the food for them either. The fish and chicken were a deep fried gross batter. The salad was expensive and it was iceberg lettuce. The waitress never came over to ask us if we needed anything, how it was or remove any of the appetizer plates to make room for us. There was not one part of the dinner that we would say was worth the money. Last summer we popped in on a random Monday night and we're excited they had karaoke. We had a great time and we're excited for this this years vacation dinner there. They no longer offer karaoke except for weekends and it was canceled on account of the fog. We are locals. This is not a place we will be coming back to. There are many other places in Narragansett and Galilee that are worth the money you spend when you go out for a dinner. read more

Spent a week in Sand Hill Cove in the middle of June and several of those days,we spent in Buster Krabs eating,but mostly drinking. Phil and the gang were great to visit with and the drinks were fantastic. Justin made a very tasty Rum Punch and several others that were very good. Will be back there next year but probably in late August or early Sept. The weather in June was not as warm as we like,but,we did have a great place to eat and drink. As an avid Champlins goer my whole life, my family and I had decided to take a chance and try it here. We had the boiled seafood platter, lobster mac, chowder which were all delish!!!! The crab legs were very tasty and Mac n cheese was so cheesy and loaded with lobster meat! Our kids had chicken fingers, fries, and mozzarella sticks; they were pretty basic. We did find it to be a bit pricey considering it's a "clam shack" but the live music was a nice touch to our late lunch! We live up in Warwick and always come down to Narragansett on the weekends in the summer and plan to make a stop at Buster Krabs when in south county. I love the location and the atmosphere. We sat at the bar and our bartender was very nice, I forgot her name but she mentioned she was the manager as well. She had a lot of knowledge of all the cocktails and food answered all our questions. She also suggested a few things on the menu to try, we had the Crab Cakes and the Fisherman's platter which were both great! The bartender made me some delicious margaritas and my girlfriend had a mudslide which she enjoyed. The food did take a little while to come out but we barely noticed because we were chatting with the bartender most of the time, but overall it was a great experience! I can't wait to go back and try some more things on the menu and drinks! The only draw back to this place is that it could use a better view. Some of the other restaurants in the area are right on the water, but the food at Busters is way better. read more

Along that line, the location of Buster Krabs is ideal; patrons are granted a splendid view of the charming fishing Port of Galilee. It was Memorial Weekend 2016, Saturday. Peek dinner time; my husband and I decided to try something new - to experience what Kelli Snow describes her new Krabs as "The perfect beach bar." When we walked in all the servers were sitting around, waiting for diners; we were the only patrons in the place! I suppose we should have taken that as an indication of what was to come, but being drawn in by the Margaritaville concept, we decided to press on. My husband ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger, I ordered the fried scallops, and we split an appetizer of Kalamari. Kalamari, overpriced, underKooked, and rubbery. Twenty minutes later our meals arrived - my scallops were mostly batter and those also bouncy. But what was deplorable and disgusting was my husband's burger - granted, he ordered it medium rare. However, not only was it rare it was cold and bloody rare. What Krabs advertises has "THE PERFECT FORMULA FOR A KILLER SUMMER MEAL" is no joke. If my husband had eaten that burger he could have been violently ill from Salmonella, E. Coli, or worse. Well, we sent the burger back. The manager pacified me with another small plate of chewy scallops, which still got cold waiting for my husband's meal! After another 20 minutes passed, his food arrived back, mine still ice cold. And thus far, we were still the only customers! BTW, we were complimented the raw burger meal. Visiting Buster Krabs was certainly an experience to remember, but one that I will never repeat and would not wish upon anyone else. Add to that the worst service in the area and sub-par food. If you are tempted by the tropical feel and colorful atmosphere you would be better off at the other landmark favorites with better views AND food! We have been going to Rhode Island for family vacations for years. This was a new restaurant, nice location we figured we'd give it a try. The food was average for "bar food" no complaints. We came back for a second time in July of 2012, had some drinks and food. We left to realize we had never recieved our credit card back upon paying the bill...but when we were back in CT! We then called and spoke with someone who said they will mail it to us ASAP. Over a month passed and we did not recieve it, we called and spoke with the manager, ? owner who said " we sent you your credit card stop calling!" and hung up on us! What type of customer service is this. Any manager or owner would never hang up or yell at a customer if they want any type of business. THE MOST AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN.
