Needless to say, I was probably giving off some slightly stressed-out bride energy. And then there was Hannah. Hannah was absolutely amazing. She patiently went through everything with me, made sure every single order was entered correctly, confirmed all of the pickup details, and even took the extra time to write everyone's names on their individual food items so there wouldn't be any confusion on the wedding day. With 24 different people and orders, that small detail made such a huge difference. On a morning when there were a million things happening at once, Hannah and Arome Cafe were one thing I simply did not have to worry about. Everything was ready, organized, and exactly as we had discussed. Hannah, you were truly a quiet angel in the middle of our chaotic wedding morning, and I will always be grateful for how kind and helpful you were during a week when my brain was being pulled in about 500 different directions. Vegetables were all pretty raw/under cooked, with the rice also being either dry or undercooked as well. The meat did pull through, being extremely tender with a flavorful sauce as well. Sucks that the rest of the dish can't be the same. Overall not really a place I'd recommend for food.

Food: Bánh Hỏi Nem Nướng Chả Giò: 2.8/5 This dish has woven vermicelli with sliced grilled pork roll and mini eggrolls. It comes with some julienned cucumbers and a dipping sauce. For me, the best item was the dipping sauce. It was very nicely balanced with a hint of spicy, slightly salty, and has a good amount of sweetness. It's slightly thick and contributes well with the dish. For the vermicelli, they seem sightly undercooked for me. There's too much of a bite in it. This is a personal preference, so not a really a complaint. For the grilled pork roll, they're borderline too dry from being thinly sliced and cooked like that. It's also missing this nice scent that I get from other grilled pork rolls. The flavor is so similar to the ones I get in a bag at the Asian supermarket, but missing some kind of flavor to it, so it seems one dimensional. The eggrolls were cute in size. Flavor was alright with the shrimp and some meat. Interesting with the slight doughy/soft filling inside. Cơm Bò Lúc Lắc: 2.9/5 Starting with the rice, it is very dry. Maybe it is a personal preference for them to lean more on the dry side for making their carbs. When I took a bite of a singular grain, it was borderline hard and undercooked. For me, this rice would benefit from a little more water. Their rice grain also seems different from other places that I've eaten at. It looks to be long grain, but the texture feels almost like the broken rice grain. For the beef, it is very tender, which I like. The meat is seasoned, but not as much as we would like it to be. It just tastes meaty and salty to me though. Not a lot of the umami flavor comes through, which is interesting. They also come with a dipping sauce. Again, this is probably my favorite item on the plate. For the bell peppers and onions, they were pretty undercooked. The bell peppers was still pretty hard and didn't have too much of a charring on them. For the onions, I really don't mind eating them raw in other dishes. For the purpose of making this dish, I think it did need some of that sweetness from caramelizing the onions.
