My Country Breakfast was awful. Burnt Bacon, rock hard cold biscuit, over cooked eggs just awful. I won't go back. I won't recommend.

12/26/21 Cafe Bellini is located inside the Western Village casino. I was here for breakfast with my boyfriend and his family. The menu is pretty extensive, but I narrowed my choice down to the Italian omelet and he got the corned beef hash skillet. The service was a bit on the slow side since they were busy that morning. The waitress was prompt with the water and coffee while we were waiting for the food to come. All of the food (6 plates) came out in 15-20 minutes. The mini-muffin they had for the skillet was pretty small, sad and hard that my boyfriend didn't eat it. I had a small bite of his skillet and after eating my omelet, both dishes were unremarkable. My boyfriend thought that eating tomato sauce on the omelet was weird, but the taste kinda grew on me when I was halfway done with the plate. I appreciate that the eggs were freshly cooked and it smelled appetizing, but I've had better. read more

This cafe is in Western Village casino , it's always busy morning noon and night. But sometimes you can time it perfectly!! This was one of those times. Saturday morning 8 am The Bloody Mary looked too good to pass up. All the snacks were what was best, the beverage was a bit weak. On to the food, hubby had the whole hog the larger version of my piglet. All was very tasty. They crisped up my bacon as requested and the eggs were cooked a perfect over easy. Definitely your typical casino cafe/restaurant with solid food and friendly staff. My chicken fried steak was good and comparable with other breakfast spots around town. My mimosa, however, was a perfect balance between juice and alcohol, and really hit the spot! I enjoyed the comfy booths, which are also good for keeping a pair of toddlers from escaping and running loose! I like to stop in here after I've gambled a bit. The food and service is always good. Tho sometimes there's a wait to get in. I do like that as a Platinum member I do seem to get seated pretty quickly. I just flash my card and I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes. I have two favorites at Cafe Bellini. The terminator burger, which I get about 3 meals out of. It's a full pound burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and a pickle, and a generous helping of fries. I always sub and get the waffle fries with ranch dressing. I think they made the ranch in house because it tastes yummy... Way better than the bottled stuff! My second favorite is the patty melt. The bread is crispy but not greasy. I love the grilled onions on the rye bread... I mean what's not to love. Of course, I make the same sub and get waffle fries with ranch. I guess I should mention their shakes... very old fashion deliciousness! They serve some of the shake in a glass but then they also bring the metal cup that they made the shake in... there's just something that I love about that!! I really haven't had anything else here because I love these things so much! Western village has remodeled since I was last there very enjoyable now not all dark and gloomy. I'm very picky so service was ok, not much personality especially for being the hours where it's ok to be off. The Eggs Benedict, now this is where all places are getting this wrong. Now I get it's more cost effective to multi recipe ingredients but if the ham is thicker than bacon it's not Canadian Bacon it's still ham. When it's thick the toughness doesn't flow with the poached egg. The amount of salt over powers the Hollandaise. I did make sure to ask for extra toasted English muffin. You can never go wrong with Cafe Bellini at the Western Village. In fact, I find the food and service here to be a lot better than what you would find in some of the other larger casinos and the prices here are more reasonable than most other places. Today I decided to start our Thanksgiving holiday by having lunch here. To my surprise, they had a Thanksgiving special menu which I have attached in my photos. I ended up ordering the Baked Salmon with Bearnaise Sauce. To my surprise, our server brought out small freshly baked loafs of bread with butter. The bread was nice and warm and was very tasty. Then shortly my order came in. The presentation was very nice. They give you good size salmon cuts here and the wild rice was tasty as well. Good portion for lunch. Best part was that the meal also came with a vanilla ice cream pumpkin pie. For the smooth $12 you can't go wrong with that now. The Bearnaise Sauce was good also. Had this creamy texture and didn't have too much flavor, but was just nice buttery smooth. Our server was good also checking up on us periodically. Overall I give this place a 5 star rating. We did not order appetizers, and Wifey and I were laughing at each other, because after finishing the soup and salad that came with our entrees we were already full. Their signature Green Chile Chicken soup was fabulous, and a darned big 'cup' of soup with alot of chunks of white-meat bird. I soldiered thru most of my well prepared Chicken Parm, but gave up with most of the spaghetti left and all the garlic bread untouched. Their menu includes all day breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sometimes when I'm craving an omelet for dinner I head over here or Cafe Milano. I loved their shrimp and ham omelet. It had the perfect amount of cheesy goodness and it's served with avocado, hash brown and a mini blueberry muffin with a side of toast. Their chicken friend steak is also delicious! Cafe Bellini (or what we like to call the Western Village Coffee Shop) is located in the heart of the casino next to the Steakhouse. We usually come here for date nights to grab desert when we visit Reno. Prices are lower than other competitors and service is friendly. The employees have always been so friendly and accommodating to us every visit. The menu has a good selection of food and beverages, along with a drink menu. We've started to come here for breakfast after work. If you have ever been to Hobey's in Sun Valley, this is basically an upgraded/better Hobey's. This place is basically a 24/hr diner that serves up great food (if you're in Reno, don't even bother with a denny's). A lot to choose from the menu, daily specials, a crap ton of food, friendly service, and did I mention yummy food?! This is where the locals like to dine! The 1 pound burger was cooked to our liking (medium rare), well seasoned, juicy, and had that char to it. The cod was soft and flakey, I believe the BF also said buttery. The famous mini loaf lived up to expectations. We tried a few of the breakfast items and sandwiches; which were also good for diner food. Service wasn't the issue. Parking wasn't the issue. The breakfast was a total letdown! I was here twice and was disappointed on both days I was here for breakfast. 1) corned beef skillet hardy had any beef and the hash browns was either over cooked or was still raw. Like the combined yesterdays potatoes with something they cut up only a few minutes before. Over easy eggs was rubbery and looked like it was cooked the day before, refrigerated and then reheated. Danish was fine. 2) biscuit and gravy had an off taste and the biscuit was mostly a brick. Hash browns looked overcooked on top/ raw in the middle/ and black on the bottom. Huge slab of hash browns, like they were trying to get rid of it. The middle of the hash browns was still a solid white color. Bacon was way too salty and undercooked. Scrambled Egg was again rubbery. How do you do this? Sorry but I can't recommend this for breakfast for anyone. read more

So they deleted my favorite burger here. The Bleu Burger. The server said it's been deleted and no longer available so they had room on the menu for the baja burger. I spoke with the manager and she said it was available, but at a higher price. I told her that it was stupid for the chef to delete it. While eating something else, the other wait staff were laughing and joking about customers and their "gravitational pull" I didn't ask for the manager again, because she sets the tone on what is acceptable behavior. She's not doing a good job when the wait staff are behind the counter joking so loudly. I'm not going to go here again unless they bring back the burger that I really love. read more

We ordered two meals including a cheese burger and fish & chips. The cheeseburger was undercooked and the cheese wasn't melted. Asked for mayo on the side and no thousand island dressing on it. They messed up and had to redo it. The dish and chips probably came out of a box from winco. Pretty poor food all around. The servers were nice, though they made apologies mistakes, as they were making them. The table next to us ordered ice cream for the table. They came in the little plastic cups that condiments are served in. I would not recommend the food here. read more

I used to love going to the cafe. Lately tho it's gone down hill. I went and ordered my usual Cobb salad because it's my favorite. Well this time it was a disappointment. I don't know who decided to pretend western village is fine dining and change things. It's just not. I got my Cobb salad and was so disappointed in the way it was made. There was hardly any toppings on it. I used to love how piled high everything was on it. Now it's not even worth it. Why mess with something if it ain't broke. And the choice of dinnerware makes it look even worse. The waitress didn't even know what to say. Poor thing was embarrassed for the cafe. I absolutely love this restaurant and Lonnie the restaurant manager. I have a sweet friend who enjoys the machines at Western Village and we have lunch here on a regular basis. Our favorite entree is the Icelandic Cod. With a green salad, baked potato and fresh veggies this is a meal I could eat every day. The wait staff is very efficient and makes you feel welcome. Every time we go here we have a delicious meal, even if we deviate from our Cod! I took home for my husband, hot pastrami sandwich with Swiss cheese and he loved it. We have always had great food and drinks, sometimes you just need a Scotch on the rocks with a splash of water, am I right? I love to cook, and this restaurant delivers the flavors I love. This spot is beautiful, clean, elegant, and offers accessible parking. I've lived in northern Nv for most of my life and just recently heard of this place. I can honestly say this one one of the best restaurant experiences I've experienced in COVID-19. They have easy to make reservations which offer a "options section" in this section I made sure to indicate my desire for candles and something cute for my 2nd year anniversary. THEY DID JUST THAT. We came here about 11:30am on a Sunday. We had never been to Western Village before and were amazed when we walked in the door. The exterior gives no clue as to the interior. We learned It is a Peppermill property, in fact the interior looks like a smaller version of the Peppermill. There was a 45 minute wait. Fortunately you can try your luck while waiting. After playing slots a bit, we went back to check where we were on the list. We noticed they had open seats at the counter and asked if we could sit there. He said "absolutely" and handed us menus. We had a seat and started reviewing the menu. It seems like a smaller version of the one at Cafe Milan in the Peppermill. It was a difficult decision as there seemed to be many good options. My wife settled on the nachos and I decided to try the hot pastrami sandwich. As we waited we saw many other entrees that looked fabulous. Our food was delivered in a timely fashion. The order of nachos was enormous and the pastrami sandwich looked delicious. They were both very good. We were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. read more
