The bread pudding is great! Honestly, really good! The salad was also goooooood. And I don't really like salads hehe. Try it :)

Nordstrom Bistro you AMAZE me! You are SOOO YUMMY! A must have is the honey chipotle sandwich... the bread is delicious and the sauce that they glaze the steak with is amazing! it's accompanied by yummy french fries and an amazing olive dipping sauce... droOL. Also try the pizza with sausage on it yum!! another favorite of mine is the the the asian chicken salad, the ginger sesame dressing is absolutely fantastic. my mom ended up buying a bottle of it and bringing it home! other must tries is the french onion soup and tomate soup, which i hear is sooo good!! for dessert: DO NOT LEAVE without ordering the white chocolate bread pudding! this dessert is like heaven in your mouth!!! Really really liked this place! I went at around 3 PM on a Wednesday with my mom after a couple hours shopping, and decided to stop by here because of a friend's recommendation. We ordered up in front, and can't remember the exact names, but I ordered the angel hair pasta with chicken and my mom ordered a club sandwich of some sort. Customer service was great, the waitress was really attentive and made sure we were satisfied. I was surprised at how good the food was here! It wasn't expensive at all, and the portions are pretty big. The fries included with my mom's sandwich were AMAZING. Thin, crunchy, and they had a dipping garlic sauce! Made me wish I just had a separate order of fries... My pasta was really good too! The chicken was really nice and soft, not dry at all. Atmosphere was inviting and classy. Nordstrom Bistro makes my heart flutter. It gives me a giddy feeling. It makes my taste bud dance like there is no tomorrow. And more importantly, it satisfies my foodie cravings. I came here by chance because I was craving both a sandwich and french fries. I tried the Honey Chipotle Steak Sandwich and it was absolutely divine. The steak was cooked well and the flavor was outstanding. The best part of the meal were the fries. The fries were well seasoned and thin and crunchy. This is just the way I like my fries. I love how they give you complimentary mint chocolate Ovations at the end of the meal. I liked it so much that I would ask for more and the waitress was so nice to give in to my cravings. Overall, the customer service is fantastic and the food is perfect. read more

My friend and I ate here this morning and unfortunately it just wasn't at all appetizing to me. The servers and cashiers were really sweet and were very accommodating. Considering the fact that there was an electronic set back with the registers which ultimately impacted the speed in which they were able to take orders, they handled it well. Now back to my food: GREASY. Honestly, it's the first word that comes to mind. A close second would be BLAND. How can I say this. No lie, it had to be the worst breakfast I've had in years. I ordered a breakfast sandwich. Simple right? Yah, I though so too. Aside from the bacon, which I swapped out for avocado, it sounded light yet still satisfying enough. It wasn't. It was so greasy. And to make matters worse it wasn't the seasoned type of greasy. Visually my sandwich looked shiny. That was a tell-tell sign that before me were two heavily, butter-laden bread slices. And they were. There was an egg (or two) cooked medium hard ( greasy as well) sandwiched between two super thick slices of the most tasteless Swiss-like cheese (also greasy), topped with a generous amount of avocado, which I LOVE but.... It too was covered in the excess oil/grease/butter or whatever was used in the sandwich. I didn't say anything to the manager because clearly they were already having A hard time due to the fact that their computers weren't working and I didn't want to add to that burden. I pay $27 for both mine and my friends meal, drinks included. Based upon this one experience I probably would pass it up and never come back. I've been pestering my husband about Coming to this café but I don't think I'll be asking anymore. Absolutely without a shadow of a doubt. It's not the end of the world but I will have to say I am really disappointed that I spent that amount of money, and left the least bit satisfied. But alas, life goes on. This place never disappoints me, from the counter where they take my order to the delivery of the food. I really feel great coming here. I may not be shopping but I will always stop to have lunch here whenever I'm in the area. The prices are reasonable and the food is remarkable. My only complaint is that I live in LA so I can't enjoy this place everyday. read more

I had this place bookmarked for maybe a year and I never got around to trying it out... my bf and his daughter meet up for dinner a couple times a week and I thought it would be nice to come here. However, when he saw the prices, he was turned off so one day I just picked up a meal and brought it over to the foodcourt at the Cerritos mall and we all had our individual dining choices. Yeay! Everyone had their choice! Awesome pear, spinach, cherry salad with blue cheese and candied pecans. The white chocolate bread pudding was a major disappointment though as it was very bland and lacked the richness of the yelp buzz that proceeded it, but my disclaimer is that I had them prepared for take out so there is the possibility that they prepare it better in house. I still don't think that it would have made the bread pudding that much tastier though.... Next time, I'm gonna order the chicken sandwich or the grilled shrimp salad. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. This is one of my new favorite places to eat. I've tried all their desserts all of which are super delish that my hubby and I order a dessert every time we've eaten. We usually don't do dessert at all. I've tried their Warm Asian Chicken salad, their Cilantro Lime Shrimp salad, and their Nicoise Salad with Salmon. The first two were really good but the salmon salad has only been the disappointment for me thus far and it's probably only because I'm not much of a fish eater or it might've been the capers. They had a chef's special risotto with shrimp and asparagus and that dish was amazing. I wish it was offered on their regular menu. Everything else on their menu that we've tried is very good. The place is a bit empty but I spoke to the manager and she believes it's because people fear it may be too expensive so I'm spreading the word. Totally affordable and great food for great prices. One time my husband had ordered a kids cheese pizza to bring home for my daughter and because they had messed up and made a pepperoni instead (which they caught before even giving it to us), they gave us both and the cheese was even in its full size. It just goes to show that Nordstrom's excellent customer service is not limited to their store alone but with any type of services they provide. Enjoy! read more

The Bistro Club is my go-to sandwich here. It's full of flavor and so filling. Love the fries that come with the order..they're always fresh and crispy! Food is definitely a bit pricy, but hey- it's Nordstroms! The crab bisque and tomato basil are good, but it's salty. Less salt please!! The bread pudding is interesting and different from the traditional bread pudding. It's a slice of bread smothered in sauce...either way- it's good! I love that they give you a chocolate mint at the end. Those things are goooood! read more

Have been wanting to try the Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad ($14.25) here for awhile now & so glad I finally did! It comes with 5 seared wild shrimp, roasted sweet peppers, corn, tomatoes, and cilantro lime vinaigrette among other things I love in a salad. It was a perfectly sized portion for me that left my tummy content. :) Our server was awesome and cracked some jokes. The bistro is located on the 2nd level of Nordstrom. I just figured out the new Nordstrom was open, I'm so behind! My boyfriend and I decided to go check out the new stores at the Cerritos Mall and he saw that there was a bistro on the second floor of the new Nordstrom. He started raving about how awesome the Nordstrom Bistro in NorCal and suggested that we go try it out. I didn't hesitate, I can't say no to food! You basically order at their cash register, get seated, and wait for a waitress to help you. You don't have to wait long for the food, so that basically shows that their service is prompt. I ordered the French onion soup and he ordered the club sandwich. And to end our lunch, a creme brulee, which I love more than any dessert in the world. I thought the French onion soup was pretty good, but since it was my first time ever trying this soup, I couldn't say much about it. The club sandwich on the other hand, was delicious and it came with fries! And I love me some fries! I didn't like the dip that came along with it, but I loved the fries by itself, was much different from what I expected. What's amazing about the sandwich was that there were green beans in it which was unexpected but I definitely loved the addition. The creme brulee is to die for and I'm so glad I can get my fix here rather than some fancy restaurant that charges an arm and a leg. I'm definitely going to try and convince my boyfriend to take me there again next week. Probably going to have something else besides just a soup. I'm waiting for them to start having their chef specials, which I'm sure will be awesome. read more

This place has really gone downhill. I had the shrimp pomodoro, which was a small portion and mediocre tasting, at best. The noodles were a strange texture and the sauce tasted canned. The shrimp were large and flavorful, but definitely not worth $18. I made the mistake of ordering my favorite dessert, the bread pudding. This has definitely changed. It previously was a nice thick piece of bread pudding with toppings to die for. Now it's a flat piece of toasted bread with the toppings on the side. I was extremely disappointed. Located on the 2nd flr of Nrdstrms, u order at the register then tke a seat. It ws a sunday afternoon, not very busy. Service ws qwik and the staff ws very friendly. The purpose of only 2 stars...yup u guessed it, the price. Yes i no its Nrdstrms but almost $90 (not including tip) for 2!? The food ws nuthin special. Meal consisted of the prime rib french dip, salmon dish, chicken noodle soup, flatbread appetizer, 2 mimosas and a sangria. I no tht sounds like a lot of food but ive hd an equal sized meal elsewhere for cheaper (see my other reviews), tastier and included a BTTMLSS mimosa option. The food wsnt horrible, but for almost $90, gimme sumthing i cnt get elsewhere thts tastier... Sorry, Bistro, wont b going back anytime soon, unless i get a raise at wrk. Here are some of my absolute favorites: Salmon Niçoise salad Cilantro shrimp salad Margarita pizza However the setup of the place takes away from the deliciousness of the meal. First you have to wait in line to pay for your meal. It's like a fast food line. Then you get seated with your receipt in a little booklet that the server takes. The server brings your drinks and meal . At the end of the meal, you receive your receipt with mints . You have no option but to leave a cash tip . Oh why oh why don't they just let you sit down and order? The servers will get more tip that way. People might bring their dates too. Nordstrom if you're reading this ..... My wife introduced me to this place and I absolutely love it. The chefs prepare the food in the back with everybody free to look. The cilantro lime salad, crab bisque, and bread pudding are my favorites. The food is always delicious. Motown music in the background to set the mood. This place has the worst hostess greeted us in an incredibly rude way. She had us wait for 15 minutes. I told her that one of the person in the party is 83 years old and can we have a place to sit while waiting. She rolled her eyes and gave me a big no. There were plenty of open tables. The Salmon and risotto was very well done as well as pizza for the kids and steak for the others in the party. They missed the mark on cooking one of the stakes, maybe a little on the rare side for medium, so best to ask. Coloring crayons, raisins, and a kids menu to color help keep kids occupied. read more
