One of the best coffees I've ever had! If you like Tim Horton, you'll really enjoy this more because they make it fresh. Because it's so late in the day, I got a decaf expresso Americano. It's super flavorful and nutty. I definitely recommend this place and will be back to have an expresso. read more

Pretty darn good coffee - overall meh visit. However, i wanted to see if anyone else had a similar response in the reviews before writing mine and I just read the wonderful response by the owner. Kudos to you sir about being an involved business owner! Can't wait to frequent your place for years to come. Love the coffee! That being said, Baristas were adequate but you could definitely tell there are some growing pains with service as it took a while to get through a short line and employee leadership and control of direction of that line was hands off. A couple suggestions and I think this is going to be a wonderful coffee alternative! Crowd Control Suggestion: to make it clear, maybe place one little Stanchion from pastry display to register that will direct the flow of people towards the register. Otherwise people pile up towards the back in a group and it's uncomfortable for the customer to jockey for position and know who has ordered and who is waiting. Seating: I read the response about the limited seating restrictions. That's too bad. However, I would definitely suggest replacing those hard metal outdoor furniture chains towards the back with something more comfortable. I'd love to stay a bit to enjoy my drink and a pastry instead of just a grab n go place. Ambiance: Some music and a few small things on the barren white walls in the back would go a long way. the way it is feels like it may be opened prematurely. Maybe even a plant or two would go nicely with your clean theme. Just a preference. I don't know your brand tho. Anyways, that's my 2 cents. Hope it's helpful. I am so excited to have a Caffe Luxxe at 2nd and PCH ! It's nice to have a third wave coffee shop in this neighborhood finally. It's a very cute coffee shop to get work done in. We tried the shakerato, single origin pour over (Ethiopian washed process), ginger mint tea, and chai latte. The shakerato was phenomenal and the pour over was very bright. Coffee enthusiast, I look forward to trying all the single origins they'll have, and I'd love it if they had single origin espressos too! Was also impressed that they carry Bar Au Chocolat! This is by far a hidden gem coffee shop inside the mall, I literally walked pass it twice before noticing the place was on the other side facing the ocean. Since it's my first time, I asked the bartender for a few coffee recommendations, she told me about that Caffe Shakerato which has expresso and dark chocolate, but unlike last time she did ask me if I wanted it cold, on top of the lactose free options, I went with oat milk again. This person got high praises for her skills on attention to detail by a few other customers who came at the same time as me. So this drink got hand shaken to the finest level, super blended and creamy, no need on sweetener, just a straw and one lid. Perfect place for studying and relaxing by the water. If you don't mind parking outside in the foggy morning, I think it's better than parking in the structures with only 90 mins to spare since you might stay a little longer read more

Not bad all together. It's definitely a solid coffee shop and the location is amazing which is why I plan to come back, but I came into an empty shop and there were 3 baristas working and they were unnecessarily rude. Not that they didn't take my order and stuff, but I asked some questions (cause I'm a barista and I like to know about the roasts and stuff) and she answered them like she really didn't want to be talking to me at all. They just opened and the baristas already seem bored by their job. On top of that, the place is over-priced, but that's understandable considering the location. Don't come here expecting to find great seating cause there's just a few tables. There is a beautiful patio area, but nothing comfortable. My suggestion, add a couple couches and get some caffeine in the baristas so they don't fall asleep in the middle of the conversation. read more

Coffee mediocre-does anyone know the difference between a latte and a cappuccino? No one working here does so don't bother asking for a cappuccino as you will receive a latte. Also the staff is bizarrely concerned with where exactly you stand while in line, actually let others cut in front of me who came in after me due to her weird rules about standing in line. Petty. Coffee is fine, weird vibe from the people who work there though. They seemed really unhappy to be there and just kind of... stares at you? It made me feel uncomfortable. Wow!!! And I mean that for both the coffee and the customer service! Both in a positive and negative way. The coffee that I tried was great! The service my friend and I received was terrible! My friend's server was super rude and short with her. The service I received was better but still not what I expected! The staff needs to be retrained or management needs to reconsider their interview process. This is a local coffee shop I visit some Sundays when I go to shopping at farmer's market across the street. I like the attitude of the workers. They greet you with a smile. They have indoor seating and also outdoor seating. It's a fancy coffee shop that they have their own special blends. You can pick from their selective choice and and either brew or drip over. I try to get something different each time, Guatemala, or Ethiopia or something else. Be aware that prices are high, and I am not sure if taste is that super good for the price, but I still enjoy this store and their atmosphere. Store is inside of a mall, so you can use parking lot of whole foods on north side of mall, or the one on the south side side, it is free for 90 mins. what is wrong with this place??? Is it me?? Every time i come here the service sucks. Last time i came, service was terrible and i got 3 free drinks as a result. I came today to use the free drink and the barista was so rude. Different girl but same rude attitude. Stopped by here after lunch and grabbed a Cafe Nico based on our barista's recommendation. Even though we didn't really taste the orange peel flavor that's suppose to be in it, this drink was dellcious, a perfect blend of espresso and cinnamon flavors. Also grabbed a bag of single origin coffee beans, which is proving itself to be quite a hit in the mornings. Decided to try this place for a coffee date. I was in between ordering the cafe nico or an iced caramello and the barista said I should go with the Nico since I haven't had it before. I didn't realized that it was traditionally served in a really small cup, but I ordered it iced and they added on a bunch of fees and the drink ended up costing $6.25. It's also made with half and half so all I could really taste was cream. I couldn't even finish it and threw about a third of the drink away. I was nervous about the service after reading the reviews, but the workers were actually really nice. Not sure if I'd come again but was a nice place to sit and catch up with a friend. read more

I believe race played a part in the lack of customer service we received at this establishment. Had a girls day with family and decided to stop and give this place a try. DEFINITELY will not be back nor would I ever recommend this place to family and friends. The staff is not friendly or welcoming. Great customer service and very safe. Staff wore masks and customers were spaced apart inside. I had the Ethiopian pourover and it was really good. I also got a Citrus Scone and an Almond Croissant. Their baked goods are delivered fresh every morning from the Crema Cafe bakery in Seal Beach, which are some of the best around.
