The cashier was very nice but when another employee called up my order and another customer took it i asked to confirm i got attitude saying it's not my order but turns out it was my order. Garlic chicken sandwich didn't have any garlic flavor and the bread was stale but the arugula on it was really good. The chopped salad was very refreshing but the dressing had no flavor it was just plain oil. The overall vibe and decor of the shop is nice with all the green furniture they have in there but the food not worth it for the price imo. read more

I came for soft opening as I like the salads on Postmates sold out of their ghost kitchen. Due to the soft opening the menu was smaller and unfortunately didn't feature salads but I didn't let that dampen my mood. Also due to the soft offering it was quite quiet and a bit vibeless, but it's very clear this place will be vibes central when it is open fully. The burrito was flavorful despite my modification removing the oaxacan cheese and the staff were friendly. I'm excited to come back when the full sandwich and salad menu is available. Visiting other spots on 3rd it's clear Carla Cafe is gonna become super popular quite quickly. read more

This place is relatively new. It opened less than a year ago. It has a simple menu but everything tasted clean and yummy. It is also great to see the people working here are young, competent and extremely pleasant. My breakfast burrito came with a salsa and a spicy avocado sauce that I had to order extra to take home. First time was great but lately I have to agree with other reviews. They have been skimping out in the ingredients and putting waaaay too much garlic aioli sauce. I literally had to take the sandwich apart and take out the sauce. For the price, it should be a fat sandwich with consistency like Mendocino Farms $12 for a yummy sandwich! I feel like this is up to the individual; however, if Carla Cafe's sandwich is not worth it to you, no sandwich in LA will be. A very cute new cafe that is definitely worth the visit! The decor inside is super cute with tables so it's great for dining in and also if you wanted to bring your laptop and get some work done. I got the Carla cream top which was delicious and I would recommend if you love a good cream top (also the sticker on the cup is so cute! I wish it were waterproof so I could have kept it!) The coffee was at an expected price point for LA but I did feel like the matcha was quite expensive but I didn't try it so not sure if it's worth the price. The food looked amazing so I'll definitely have to try it next time I visit. I also was able to speak to Jessica (the owner I believe?) for a bit and she was so kind! 10/10 would recommend! read more

One of the priciest matchas I've ever purchased (11.50) and that says a lot living in Los Angeles. Was it worth it? Yes. My friend is a matcha connoisseur and has said for many years that the brand they use is her favorite (she first tried it in Japan). I even bought it for her as a gift and was surprised that it was such a small can for $50! But how exciting that they're using it at Carla Cafe, truly authentic. I am all for paying fair wages/etc.. but would honestly suggest they just up-charge the food even more to offset the drink costs if absolutely necessary. $8.25 for the smallest matcha I've ever received. The only thing I have ordered that I wasn't the biggest fan of is the caesar wrap and my only complaint is that they don't have an option to order the tuna without tomatoes. This place is overrated and hyped up for no reason all bcuz they go an pretend on their instagram..
